I've been to this location a handful of times, yesterday included. I've never had a bad experience. Most of the time I'd just order it online and pick up super fast! Well, today I decided to do in store shopping due to the fact that I wanted a new speed ball (since my old one met its demise) I was in and out of the store in minutes with the speed bag I wanted. As usual all the staff members were helpful and the person at the door wished me and I quite "Have a blessed day!" Overall no bad feeling here, unlike most reviews on here. I recently purchased a Daiwa Fuego spinning reel in a 3000 size from Dick's Sporting Goods. I ordered it from their website, so it was mailed to my house. What I got was a reel in a clamshell, no paperwork. There was no shims to adjust the line lay. When I attempted to put line on the reel, the line lay was terrible. It was bunched up at the top. I had no shims. I had to go through other boxes of other Daiwa reels, to find shims. Like I said, no paperwork, no warranty information. I will never buy a piece of sporting good from Dick's Sporting Goods ever again. I even have a slight feeling that this reel may have been recycled. Not used by someone but one that somebody brought back and then was resold to me. Not good......Dick! read more

This dicks is awful!!!!! Right when me and my kids walked in, they eyed us like we were going to steal or something. Every employee in there is damn near trained to stare and follow customers whenever they come in and shop. Not every customer has a mind set like that. My son had been given a gift over the holiday that didn't fit and we came in to shop for his upcoming baseball season and to do an exchange for the gift to get the right size or store credit if the right size was unavailable. I had looked up the return policy before coming in and saw that if I didn't have the proof of purchase(I did not have one) a store credit would be issued if I showed my ID. When we asked to do the return the associate told us no and that the store wasn't accepting returns at the moment. We bought a couple things that we needed to break my son's new glove in and left alittle put off by the experience, but thought that maybe the associate was having a bad day. I was emailed a survey and filled it out. The Assistant Manager (Andrew S.) emailed me back. He quoted the company return policy and said I needed to have a receipt for all store returns and I would have to obtain a copy of it to move forward with the return. I replied with what I read from the return policy and if I misunderstood something from what I was reading. Unhappy with how the assistant store manager approached this situation, I called customer support. The associate I spoke with was very patient and polite considering I was very upset with how this whole thing had been handled at that point. He recommended I go back into the store and request to do the exchange, and once they refuse again, call customer service to have them approve the return with the sales associate. I explained how frustrating that is from a customer standpoint and how backwards that seems. I shouldn't have to go to customer service to have them approve a return when the store can approve it at the store level. I had received one last email from the assistant manager explaining that they were operating within company policy because they have the right to refuse any returns or exchanges, which I understand. But I also understand customer service especially at a manager position and know that he was choosing to refuse the refund/exchange. I would be understanding if it was a Yeti Cooler or other larger ticket item, but we're talking about a $20 arm sleeve. I do have to commend the sales staff and customer support. They were all understanding of the situation and were following the assistant store manager. The assistant store manager is horrible at his job and doesn't need to be in the customer service line of work. He has made the experience with the store unpleasant and I will refuse to continue shopping at this location and would drive out of my way to do my sporting goods purchases. read more

Great service We had driven an hour to a soccer tournament and realized upon arrival that the cleats were still at home. The game started early and the manager at the Dick's Sporting Goods store allowed our family and another family to come in before the store opened so that the girls could be on time for their games. The new shoe section is nice but you have to find an employee to go in the back to get your size and unfortunately there's no one ever around. This location in particular has a very bad team of unprofessionals. It's like the inmates running the asylum. Guest service is non existent, working as if it's a chore rather than a privilege. Very unfortunate because Dick's in other areas are fantastic. Like they say, it starts from the top. If the leadership doesn't care, the rest will follow, which is very apparent at this location. For a sporting goods store, this particular spot is the place to go. It's SOOOO organized. Every other Dicks stores i have been to with a plethora amount of gear is usually a mess. And no one likes a messy store. And to top it off customer service really means a lot to them because when I asked a question, they don't give you a "ugh look". They also honored a discounted Nike sweater that I wanted that was in the wrong spot. This location is well operated and managed, has everything you could want for sporting goods. Outstanding Customer Service! Walked in today and asked Juan for pricing, he stopped what he was doing immediately and walked across the store to assist us. Then there was Nanette, first offered to help carry our stuff to the register from 20 feet away. Then was extremely cheerful, professional, & informative regarding the rewards program as well as the return policy and payment options. Juan was in the background establishing much of what Nanette was sharing. Since Covid hit us a year ago, I have not seen such sterling customer service as what was evidenced today. I observed a very rude female worker snatching a product out of a customer's hands, and watched speechless as she proceeded to yell at him, "you're not supposed to be using this here. Do you even know how much this costs?" Well, maybe you should have better markers about what should and shouldn't be used in your practice range before demonstrating such unprofessional behavior. My brother and I were checking out this place because we were one mile closer to this than the one in Fremont. lol There was plenty of parking so that wasn't an issue. The store was very large and looked clean/organized. For some reason, we were here to find bowling shoes or bowling equipment since my brother saw that on their website; however, there were no bowling equipment anywhere in the store. There was a large selection of shoes (though I felt like it was mostly Nike) which took up most of the back of the store. One corner of the store was for guns and hunting gear, another corner was for lifting weights, and another was for soccer/baseball/football. Went in to the store just to look at a pair of golf shoes. I'm not a golfer but my buddies invited me to an event so I figured I would at least get started there. Art was able to assist me with several shoes and I ended up selecting the spike less Nike Roche. Afterwards Art and I just started having a conversation as to why I needed shoes and I brought up that the last time I tried golfing was almost 7 years ago. He asked if I had clubs and if I needed any assistance in selecting the right ones for me. I was a bit nervous when I stepped in the box just to see what my swing looked like. As expected it was off totally off, but Art gave me some pointers and guided me in slowly correcting it. Several buckets later, not only did I correct my swing a lot I felt pretty good in Distance and Direction. Art the perfect example of amazing customer service. Not only did he help out on the purchase of shoes but also helped me out on the game. I am really happy and pleased with the way Art was able to take that extra time to guide me. Extremely horrible customer service.. highly don't recommend coming here unless you know for sure your items will be available. Don't try to even call the store - they may or may not answer, and when they do answer, they will hang up. I spent half my morning trying to reach someone regarding my online order - which I found out was cancelled (NOT on my part) and they were denying up and down that they did not cancel it either. However after calling the # on the website, I found out my item was no longer available - which I completely understand, however, the corporate # I called even said that my order was still processing. Therefore I'm left wondering if this store itself was the one that cancelled my order. It wasn't until speaking to someone from the escalations team that my order had to be cancelled by them at that moment, and not by anyone else. (everyone I spoke to from corporate was very helpful and this review is solely based on THIS location). First- "we never received these items" said a young lady. 2nd a young man "we got them but it sold out" 3rd "we got them but we only put 1/3 for online orders and the rest are first come first serve". Ok so the communication between the young lady and the rest of the store apparently is totally off. This was just a mess of a situation. Also come to find out from the escalations team that it's not the first. I should've known. Dicks I understand you're hiring teens/young adults as I know it's a retail job, but please also teach them customer service as it is a basic life skill. I don't recommend this store. The customer service is extremely bad. When I shop here, the girl manager here told everyone that this center doesn't have security camera. This girl acted like she is a big boss. They had customers and employees parked in the parking lot with broken windows and they can not do anything. All the employees there are like high school students. They don't welcome you and if there are issues, they will act like gangs. There were incidents here that the employees know no cameras in the shopping center. Some employees are directors car accidents in the parking lot to scam shoppers. Do not shop here. On thanksgiving day (evening time), I made a trip to Dick's Sporting Goods, only to wish retrospectively that I hadn't gone. A female worker with short dirty blonde hair witnessed a middle aged man use once, a golf club in the practice range area that shouldn't have been used. Instead of calmly explaining to the unsuspecting man that he should not be doing so, she forcefully yanked the club out of his hands and proclaimed "you're not supposed to have that on there" and glared at the customer with a disgusted look on her face. I'm writing this review in hopes that someone from the management would read it, and address this problem -- to remind their workers to be polite and professional. I cannot support a business that doesn't teach its workers to have any semblance of respect for the customers. Even if someone was caught shoplifting, they would not be treated with the lack of respect that I observed. The workplace is somewhere you have to be professional. Physically and forcefully grabbing something out of another individual's hand is crossing the line and can be classified as harassment. read more
