The entire staff was very accommodating and offered me the best deals. I really enjoyed it because they sold their products without forcing them upon me. I hate (but not really) that I'm giving this place two stars. Shoe Palace is and always has been number one place to go to since day one of this company opening. Their prices were always great and their selection of shoes are amazing! Plus I always went because it's a good friend of mine since I've known for the past 17 years family business. Well I came to the gilroy location today with my 10 year old son who was in desperate need of new shoes. I came in and the store wasn't super crazy busy, there were probably 10 to 11 employees working and we were greeted when we walked in which was a plus. I went to the kids section and a sales associate asked right away if we needed help. Another plus! You would think this is the beginning of a great Yelp review, right?! Well wrong!!! I said yes can you please show me which walls of shoes are his size and he showed me and walked away. He didn't asked what we were looking for or asked if we needed more help or anything. Theres more! My son found the shoes he wanted right away, we asked the same associate if we can get a size 2.5 and 3 and I told him if he can help with the sizing because we were unsure. He said oh this is a 3 (being the display shoe) and said have him try this on. Ok... my son tried it on. The sales associate walked away right away and never brought out the other sizes or the other match to the display shoe for him to try both on, never sized my son, nothing. My son liked the shoe so we asked another associate for the other shoe and the box so we can take them and pay. We paid and left. Once again keep in mind it wasn't that busy and it's not like I was waiting for a sales associate because it was busy, I had one just didn't stick around or wasn't helpful. Bad customer service, the employee didn't ask me if I needed a size I had to go find her and the store was completely empty! She took way too long "looking for the shoe size " I asked for. Worst customer service ever! BUYER BEWARE! Yes you might snag an old season line of kicks at a decent price but you will not be able to refund. You will not be able to get your foot sized as they do not have the measuring tool to do so. (Yes this is a shoe store that is not equipped to measure your foot!). Even the manager states to me that he has NEVER had his foot sized. I find that 100% absurd and a flat lie. He states he's worked there for 10 years so this makes him an expert. Found my perfect pair of Black/Silver/White Nike Roshe sneakers for a awesome deal! Didn't think I would actually fit a kid's size and price was a steal! Can't get a deal like that here in the Hawaiian Isles! Hawaii just opened a Shoe Palace store here in Ala Moana but prices are pretty steep. Went in yesterday , it was pretty busy but the employee helping me out Cathy I believe was able to find exactly what I needed super fast and I was in line at the register in no time , great customer service overall but once I got to the register ... Man I just wanted to get the heck out of there , that big guy they have ringing up had such an unbearable odor that I couldn't deal with. read more

Hard to believe their dressing rooms are filled with backstock and folding tables blocking the doors. My husband and son had several hundred dollars worth of shorts and tshirts to try on. They were told to find a corner and try on! Asked if we could use the restroom that was clearly marked to have some privacy and was told no for employees only. My 14 year old really wanted the shorts so found a corner until a woman walked up. Embarrassed and shocked at this poor policy we walked out and across the street to the Nike Outlet and spent our money. They've got to be losing money on clothing. Really disappointing. read more

me and my daughter went yesterday fathers day,drove from salinas because she wanted to get some new shoes from their well they had them on clearance for $29.85 they where the nike jordan eclipse red and black so we got the last pair of size 9 and one pair of 8.5 we got to the counter they scan them it said $29.85 each on the register and the manager came and told us the lowest i can go on this is $80 if you want them after three of their employees told us $29.85 and the register also had the same price after that he try to get us out of the store as fast as possible very bad costumer service didnt even get a explanation of why the price change i have never experience such a bad customer service i would never step a foot into this store in my life read more

I never go to the glory outlets. Never have been. But when i went i walked directly to shoe palace. Love shoes. I was treated with utmost respect by a guy named Raymond. He was super sweet and kind and extremely helpful. The whole staff was and the store clean and remarkable. Raymond was alot of help. I walked in not knowing what i wanted and he helped me so much. Not sure if he is a manager i believe he is but if he isn't......he definitely needs to be a manager. Never had soLeone take good care of me in a retail store. I never go to the outlets but when and if i do ill be sure to go back!!!!! read more

They are always in stock of the latest and greatest. This is my #1 spot for picking up all the latest and limited Jordan's and nikes. I really liked that store, especially because they carry UGGS and I don't have to go to San Jose to buy them. But when my family was here in December and we bought like 5 pairs of UGGS I noticed at home that they charged me the full price of one pair although it was reduced. So I went back there with the shoes and the receipt. The shoe I bought was still on display with the reduced price but I never got the difference back because they told me it must have been a mistake with the reduced price tag. They scanned the code of the box and apparently that is the price! Also I couldn't return the shoes even though I didn't wear them. They gave me the number of their headquarter to call and complain, never ever picked somebody up. I left a message and never ever did I get a call back! Also I noticed: Usually when they scan items you can see on the display what price it says, but not at Shoe Palace. You basically sign on the display without seeing the amount. So better check your receipt right away. I will definitely never go back there. Spent so much money there and got only bad customer service!! Some staff members are nice but some are very impatient and never smile.... read more
