This is by far one of the best kept Walmarts, well stocked, organized and clean. Friendly cashiers and good customer service.

I don't know what has changed at walmart but recently the employees who man the self checkout line have gotten more rude. I am waiting inline for a grocery checkout station to free up. There is a lady at one of the stations who has finished but is still there talking to a person next to her. The walmart employee --instead of politely asking the lady to move on since she is done with check out -- yells at me for holding up the line and not going to the checkout station even though the lady is still there. Obviously there is poor training of employees at this Walmart. I fault Walmart corporate for hiring bad managers who do not train their employees properly. If a bonus is on the table for the management here, corporate should seriously consider not giving them bonuses this year read more

Beware of order pickup. They don't store your items at the proper temperature until you arrive. At least 3 times now, I've arrived within my window and come home with completely defrosted frozen food. Literal liquid ice cream. They then force you to come back to the store to return your melted trash in order to get a refund. Good luck getting anyone to answer the phone. Just spent 20 minutes trying to call 3 different departments at 5:30pm and no one ever picked up. read more

came into Walmart today because it was a must. Saw online that their KitchenAid stand mixers were on sale for $349.00 which was a great deal. That's $150 off and they usually don't go on sale. Was debating between the ink blue and the black, but decided to go with the classic black. Can't wait to start making more cookies and spending less time using a hand mixer. read more

This is a huge walmart with almost everything you need. Its our go to place if we are in the neighborhood.Their produce is always fresh and the variety is huge. They have good variety in bakery section too. And their baby & toddler section is always well stocked and well maintained. They have everything in place for the toddler section like clothes, skincare, body care, toys, etc. This store does get busy during weekends evenings so plan accordingly. Parking lot is shared with other businesses but usually a spot is available once you arrive. Staff is helpful and the place is well kept. read more

Went to walmart today where as soon as I stepped through the door employees were breathing down my neck and watching me. Why do I go from the sunscreen section where one asset protection employee is walking by 3 times and staring me down, and at the candy isle where another is standing directly behind me. What was so amazing was that once I purchased my items and everything the lady at the door rudely demands she sees my receipt which is hilarious since she didn't ask the people before or after me for theirs. Once I showed her the receipt on my phone, she replies "huh" as if she didn't believe that I had one. There is obviously some profiling going on that I've seen so much from this location. I'm 84 years old so I have been using the home delivery for groceries for the past few years. Always happy with it and had very few problems. If there was a problem I could always get in contact with CS and they would remedy it immediately. Today I had an order and one item was Organic cauliflower. When I received the order the cauliflower was not organic but they charged me the organic price which is a substantial difference. I tried calling CS and got their new automated AI. It appears that now to have this remedied I have to take the cauliflower to the store. I have mobility issues which is why I used the service to begin with. I am going to investigate other services and cancel this one. If I can't get good support then what's the point of keeping the service. If you are thinking of joining Walmart plus then I would not recommend it. Too bad because what they had before was awesome and now it stinks read more

I'll start by saying I live in Morgan hill and I've been a resident for 24 years now. This is my local Walmart as it is to many others in town. Besides the extremely long waits for associates to help assist you with locked merchandise.. I've been having issues with a Walmart Loss Prevention Associate named Anna Sandoval. (As shown in the picture I have attached to my review) I visit this Walmart store at twice a week or more with my Fiancé. On several occasions I have noticed that Anna Sandoval follows my fiancé and I around the store during the duration of our visit. We have felt almost as if she's hovering over us while we're shopping making us feel harassed, uncomfortable and that we cannot shop in peace. Today I made time to make a complaint to corporate about Anna Sandoval and how she has made me feel during my store experience since this has happened more than enough times without me addressing it and taking action. I did not plan on visiting my local store today but I had to grab a couple of groceries so I decided to stop by as one would. But of course she never fails to make me feel very uncomfortable while visiting! Today Anna seen me and decided to wait by the entrance doors until I was done checking out all my items. She then starred me down (we made eye contact) and purposely came outside to see what find of car I drive. As shown in the photo of her and another associate standing out front of the store scoping things out for whatever reason! Each time I'm at my Walmart my receipt gets checked and I have no reason to be followed or for her to go as far as to look at the type of car I drive when I haven't done anything wrong. So of course as one would I had to take matters into my own hands and call corporate again! When I called I added more to my complaint that I had made earlier in the day since this incident happened. Corporate told me since this is an on going issue this will be escalated as it should be cause now her behavior is out of hand. The next time Anna decides to make me feel uncomfortable again I will ask to speak with the store manager directly and state my concerns about her. I can understand why Walmart needs a security presence but she needs to do a better job at catching people who are actually shop lifting and not people who are loyal customers and just trying to shop for things they need. I think she needs to be retrained or simply let go. Hopefully corporate will handle my concerns and we can come to resolution other then that before these issues started taking place I was actually comfortable shopping at Walmart when I wasn't being hovered over. Hopefully no other customers have to endure her behavior like we do but I wouldn't be surprised if this has happened to other customers as well. Walmart please do better! read more

Second there is no buttons to call an employee to come and assist you, half of them don't even have the right keys or their phones just aren't working. I went today to grab a shaver and they don't even have a box to put it in your cart for later to check out... INSTEAD they take it and what do you know!! I forgot about it Lastly, 2-3 registers open and lines to the clothing section and they closed all self check outs except for 4 where they have a person SCANNING FOR YOU!!! might as well open other lanes instead of self checkout... I clearly come to self check out to run in and RUN OUT, don't touch my groceries unless you're paying for them & the audacity to check my receipt right after you're own employee checked me out. My biggest concern about this store is the behavior of the person who stands at the exit and checks receipts. On multiple occasions I have observed an elderly lady who target Latinos heavily, she will always do thorough receipts checks on them. While the white guests only get a quick glance at their receipts. read more

This store has items showing "in stock" on the website and fully lets you purchase the items for pickup/delivery. They don't let you know until minutes before your scheduled time what was not in stock. Just had my entire order cancelled, its 2025 inventory should be accurate. read more

They don't take Apple Pay. Bathrooms are decently clean. Aisles are a lil tight. Stuff seems to be packed in every inch. Not as much stuff as other Walmarts. automotive aisle is very limited. Thought I'd update my WM review since my last one a couple years back. There has been a recent change to the way payment is handled for online orders that's a major deal breaker for me. Just to clarify, prior to my most recent shopping experience, I had few problems, particularly with this WM supercenter itself, and it's employees. During the past two or three years I've used the grocery pickup service, I've come to rely on it. It was the preferred way I would purchase my everyday groceries and routine restocking. Prior to a month or two ago, placing my usual pickup orders was pretty straightforward. I'd always use the WM App to build my orders, putting items into the "shopping cart" as I'd go along. The total cost of those items was always predictable, and usually very close to what I expect at tine of check out. The confirmation always included any taxes, CRV, etc. My debit card was always authorized for this amount. Any out of stock items or substitutions were always adjusted at the time of pick-up. No big deal. This is how things worked for the past 3 years I've used the app. About a month ago, however, when placing my usual order, I noticed a hold on my debit card for nearly $40 more than the order total. I didn't think anything of it at the time, and just assumed it was a "glitch". Unfortunately that extra $40 was held by my bank for NINE (9) days. After speaking with WM customer service, they stated the additional held funds were "sent" back to my bank the day I picked up my order.. Despite this, my bank continued to hold the money for a total of 9 at before it was released. Speaking to my bank, they blamed Walmart for the delay. Walmart blamed my bank.. The last straw was placing another pickup order last week. This order was smaller, but right away I noticed the same problem. The amount WM "pre-authorized" is significantly more than the total of all merchandise + taxes. In this case, the FINAL total was about $80. WM authorized approx $100 for this order... It's now been 5 days after I picked this order up, yet the $100 hold still shows against my bank balance. Looks like I need to wait several more days to get that extra $20 back? Even more infuriating is calling WM about this issue, they are aware of it but can't do much about it. I tried telling them this is a new problem, and was never an issue prior to 1 or 2 months ago. Unfortunately I can't do business like this. It really screws up my budget and finances. You have no way of knowing exactly how much "extra" money the hold debit hold amount will be until you place the order. That amount is much more significant the larger the order. For me, it's around 20% more than the *actual* final total. This doesn't happen when shopping in the physical store, only using the WM App for pick up/delivery orders. Due to this I had to cease my business relationship with WM, and delete the app and shop elsewhere, unfortunately. Called up front in a hurry to purchase a floor display item I saw earlier that day but had to go rent a truck first. I talked to the front store manager and she made it simple for me to just pull up pay for it and had a couple guys that were waiting to help load it up, didn't have to wait and was fast with her being so nice and polite, and fast with her team. She save me an hour charge on the rental truck as well. Thank you ma'am and the young gentlemen that helped out! read more

Crappy store customer service don't know how to cash check or policies. Manager called and is a joke. MH and SJ Almaden Management or customer service don't know policies to cash check I had to question them like a kid. I came in MH to cash a check like I have previously with the same lady Caucasian working at customer service with glasses, last time she claimed the machine was down when a Hispanic woman asked her for a money transfer then she cashed my check. This time she didn't want to cash my check and I asked her why she said it was a written personal check. I asked for the manager and when the manager arrived she coursed the conversation to her repeating what she stated before. Never go hear if your a single mother on ebt. So, I decided to cook dinner for my little family and my brother. We take about an hour rounding up groceries in this store and got some snacks for my 1 yr old. I am a hardworking mother who manages a popular cafe and has worked in customer service for over 20yrs. However, during the pandemic I had fell on hard times like many of citizens in America and am on the calfresh program snap, which is my first year of being on it and helps provide my family with groceries when we are in need. So, long story short. We are now at self check out and have scanned every single item, I'm having an issue with my ebt card it's reading (card error) I had previously used it at another Walmart afew days prior with this same note and has talked to my worker for a new one which I'm waiting for but she said it'll be fine. They'll have to just manually put the numbers of your card in, okay no problem. I asked for help from a young lady working in this area and she says okay hold on I'll get my supervisor whom I suppose she got for some assistance. The supervisor comes over and I tell her about the situation, automatically she says, " No, we don't do that here" I tell her I've used it at every Walmart with no problem before with this issue and she says No we never have and this one doesn't do it. I believe her name was Ani and she was playing a role like a CSM which means customer service manager. She keeps looking at me up and down, mine you I have my daughter who is half African and half mixed Polynesian. My friend who is African American and my brother who is mixed Polynesian like myself, she just keeps telling me no we do not do that all. She was very rude and couldn't explain why, I said can you direct me to where it says in the policy for Walmart, so nothing. She was like "policy" I said yeah the protocol your suppose to follow when dealing with the public. She shrugged her shoulders and then I said, "please get the store manager!" She said he's not here and I said get anyone that is superior to you" it took her like 15-20mins. So, here comes an older i believe Hispanic women, I wasn't even sure if the smock and name tagged belong to her, it read "Jazmin" title read COACH. I said is that what they call ASMs here, she said yeah. She directly I felt was told exactly what to say as she repeated everything Ani had said to me with the same attitude. I said can you pull up the policy because California has a law to help folks who have ebt cards that do not scan or have been demagnetized. She sat there reading, so a younger associate came to help me, I didn't get her name but she was the most pleasant one there. As she guided me to a nearby register to try to help me, a crowd of employees had came to stand witness to what was going on, I've never in my entire life felt so profiled. So the young associate seemed as though she was disgusted with the way I was being treated and attempted to help me, I told her there is a code Walmart uses and then I manually enter my card number usually but without her managers knowing anything, they couldn't even provide a code and we're still standing there reading the policy. The minute I displayed I had trouble with my ebt card, I felt like they looked at me like I was broke or something, it's not begging broke it's called getting assistance and that's what I needed there. I felt like because my group was black and brown, we were pegged for even coming there. After the young associate attempted to help me and couldn't, I opted to finally leave this store peacefully. I went directly to Safeway off Dunne and they told me it's required for folks with ebt cards to get assistance if there card doesn't work by law because they are already in a situation. Thank You Cora from Safeway on Dunne road for clarifying this. I have decided to never shop at Walmart in this area again, I hope that the workers get proper training and stop having bad attitudes that could lead to a lawsuit. Discrimination is against the law when it comes to business. This incident happened around 6pm between the self check out and register 1 on Friday September 16th 2022. Store has really gone down hill lately. Never anything on the shelf consistently like Fruit funables, frozen stuffed shells, frozen steak fries, cat food. Have a hard time finding yogurt that isn't close to the expiration date. Store has been out of bags 3 times recently.....when you're disabled it's hard to load your items on the belt, load them piece by piece in the cart, then piece by piece into the car and then piece by piece into the house. I also resent Walmart saving my ATM and email information and sending me a survey after each visit. I never would have used online buying if I knew they were saving my banking information. read more

One of the registers froze while I was in line, the associates were very kind and apologetic, another associate named Ryan helped me move all my items to the self check out and helped me scan and bag them. I live off of Bernal Rd. now so driving to this Walmart is not just convenient but makes my shopping experience so much more pleasant; easy parking, no ghetto crowd, friendly staff, and clean store. I used to despise Walmart until I learned that part of my company deals w/ their supply chain and handle their returns center in Las Vegas. It's like I feel a social duty to support my company. The reality is that this place offers much more for a lot less. Sure, I can go to Grocery Outlet or FoodMaxx but the quality and variety doesn't compare to Walmart. If you go early then beware because some of their products won't be stocked. I came early a few times and noticed no rib-eye or even New York steaks. No ground lamb and no ground bison here *sad face* I am glad I live on this side of San Jose now. read more

I am not really a fan of Walmart but I came here to kill time I was waiting for someone. The moment I walked in, I got a big punch in the face by the bakery and deli that is at the entrance. It smelled really good and as I looked around the store, It was very clean and not dead looking. Majority of the time I am at a Walmart, I get a really mood killing vibe but at this Walmart, it was different. Pros - Very clean and the floor is as polished as a bald guys head. Very shiney and clean. It was very organized and what I really REALLY like about it was that in the food aisles with the fridges, all the doors had LED lights built in for a clean and bright look. Very nice. Cons - They lack electronics.  They have an entire section for it but it is not impressive and stocked as other Walmarts. You don't see too much of the SALE signs that make people run to it. The plaza it lies on is pretty dead. A lot of run down stores but it has quite a few franchised stores like GameStop, Bed, Bath and Body Works etc. read more

This is the only Walmart that's in Morgan hill I have lived here for almost four years and I always had some issue with this Walmart and I'm never the type of person to ever start anything or complain but today was just so disappointing and frustrating, I am a mother of three I just had my youngest who is a 3 month infant I went in to get some stuff for my kids and groceries and cans of formula and you know it's locked so you had to tell employees to get it and bring it to the front which I did and when I went to check out I can tell the cashier is new so I told her where they would normally leave it at and she went to check and it was nothing, so she had asked her manager I believe and I thought he went to go get it but he didn't so I was waiting and waiting for about 20 min and I started to get upset cause I have a baby I have to get home to I just wanted to get in and get out I stay home all day and I was kinda happy to just be out to get some stuff that's needed but idk why they had to make it so difficult it's upsetting and I asked again and I knew the cashier was upset cause she ask another staff and pointed out she's been waiting were is her formula cans? And I waited even more and another guy came and was like who did you ask? I'm like he was at the toilet paper stocking up papers but it's like why are you here asking who I ask why can't you just go unlock it and just get it but have me wait like who said who and who did you ask like they were just being lazy and just not doing their job I showed the staff who I asked he was there stocking up stuff which is fine he's doing his job but it's like you guys locked things up so of course we have to ask you guys for help to open it I'm not sure how that's so hard for you guys so I left all my items there and just left so unprofessional I works as a manager for retail for 6 years never have I ever acted this way esp a mother who just had her baby like damn one day to go somewhere to get formula for my infant but make my day harder smh never wanting to go here again if I have to drive farther to get better help then I'll do that, I called cooperate and everything I was just not understanding how they had me wait in line and told me they going to check out the others behind me and just wait for the formula of cans but no one had got them for me they just had me waited like a dumbass, idk this is just sad. The customer service here sucks! I only came here to cash a check. They put 1 employee to run guest services and there's a looong line. Thank goodness I'm the 2nd one in line but I've been here for 20mins and line hasn't moved. If that wasn't bad, check this, that 1 employee taking care of guest services left for break/lunch and they have NO backup. How the f**k do they have no one to cover her. Been coming here for at least a decade, usually have pretty good service. I had James as a cashier, operator 0078 I believe. Guys attitude and customer service skills are literally the worst I've ever experienced. Carelessly piled up groceries, didn't ask if I wanted bags until after, way overstuffed the bags, literally had to stop him bagging while smashing my bread, also bags items that should not go together in the same bag, like bread items with raw meat. Was noticeably mumbling to himself and rolling his eyes, and sighing after every question we responded to. I don't care what's going on in your life, it's not okay to intentionally give people food poisoning. We know you've been trained. I'm not feeling great today. Weak...I have tummy issues often that wear me out. I stopped at Walmart for a quick and easy dinner my sons can make themselves. I'm dragging on the pavement as I walk up. I'm self employed working 12 hour days with two kids at home...let me tell ya...I'm tired, lol. It's been a long day and feeling yucky doesnt help. Now I have to go to Walmart too?! When I walk up to the beginning of the awning...not even thru the door yet and a nice man with a yellow vest and a mask says, Hello, thanks for coming to Walmart. Not sarcastically or monotone but sincerely. It stopped me. I had to remember my own manners quickly. I thanked him and proceeded to the door. There another man told me to enjoy my shopping. There was no one gossiping and ignoring customers or messing with their phone while saying this. They looked at me and I felt meant it. Within a few short steps I forgot how sick I felt and how tired I was. I was grateful to hear kind words that sounded very sincere. I did have a great shopping experience. Terrible location. My mom had an order to simply pick up. She got to the store and nothing was showing up for her. It took two employees to get the supervisor to help her. The supervisor, Violet, instead of trying to help my mom to figure out what has happened to her order, decided to stand and argue over the email that was received to pick up the items. The email clearly stated the items were ready for pick up, had pickup instructions and a barcode. Not sure what was confusing about that. My mom left the store with none of the items she tried to pick up from her order. WILL NOT BE SHOPPING HERE AGAIN read more

Went to Walmart today and let me just say there are a lot of people not taking this shelter in place seriously!! The parking lot was packed very few wore a mask and or gloves. The store had no toilet paper, no paper plates, no rice, no top ramen, bro!! No bread, no cheese, it was insane. I am a huge Walmart fan. I even like this store, clean well stocked, good prices, etc. What I do not like is going in and they have ZERO checkers and funnel everyone into self check. When I asked, the employee said they had no checkers on duty but there were self check lanes open. I can see that and is why I asked. Look, if I wanted to work at Walmart, I promise you, I would apply for a job there. I do not, I already have a job. I had a cart full of groceries and had to ring up and bag my entire large order. It is akin to going to a restaurant and having them escort you to the kitchen to cook for yourself. I am the customer...paying you and then being forced to work for you at the same time is not a good business model. It was not like I had two to three items, I had spent and hour shopping and getting all I needed so I did not just want to walk out. The service at this store has always been cartoonishly slow, but it is close to home and I dealt with it. Now the service is non-existent. Curious, stoked, and confused to why Justin Bieber even has a line of nail polish, I decided to check out the nearest Walmart based on my current location. I walked in and left two minutes later.....empty-handed. To my disappointment, I was not able to purchase any of the infamous nail polishes to feed my Bieber Fever. This Walmart lacks the supply and grocery selection compared to the other chain stores. the shelves are organized and well kept, yet does not stock up on inventory.
