I think this is one of the smaller Targets in the area but remains my favorite - its easy to find things! I think they have been doing a nice job of keeping it cleaner (there was a period of time where the floors were DISGUSTING all the time). Staff is a bit more responsive. If you do the drive-up, its awesome - those team members are always courteous, helpful and kind. I really appreciate what they do - sometimes you don't want to pay for delivery but know you should not be in a store (like when you are sick). This is a great option. It goes through waves of stocking - some days shelves feel empty, others super full, so just a crap shoot! But overall, I have seen some improvements the last 6 months and continue to shop here on the regular! read more

Used to like this store's customer service but it's pretty mid. Everything is always expired or spilled in my pickup bag, really awful. Nice person here is Ken who does the return area, he's a sweetheart and so kind. There is a new manager in the returns area who doesn't care about customer service. I got some tortellini that was over 5 weeks expired! Got my money back cool, but that was it. That could have been pretty serious if consumed and not pulled from the shelf. She asked "when did you grab these" I said September 1. Wasn't sure if she's inferring I had them awhile and replacing them for a new bag? I never ordered them before (photo enclosed) After I returned the tortellini, I grabbed some swiffer wipes via order pickup and it was leaking all over my new car seats! Yesterday, I saw online that Target was having a sale on blackberries. Unfortunately, the shelves were empty for the blackberries on sale and the organic ones were available but expensive. I asked one of the employees who was working in the produce section if she could check if they still have it in stock. She went to the back storage and came to bring me what I needed. Order pickup here is the worst of any nearby. Go in the morning (when the app says it should be quick), and it took 11 minutes for anyone to actually staff the pickup desk. Three employees came by but couldn't help as they were designated for drive-up orders. Me and another customer were walking around asking and they even called for support 3 times. Whenever I go to Target I find what I need for a good price. They have price check scanners so there's no question about how much something costs and I don't have to wait until I get to the register. There are plenty of registers open, so it does not take long to check out after shopping. There is a large selection in each department, and sometimes I even find great bargains in the clearance section. I have enjoyed buying things online and having them delivered when I don't have time to leave the house. read more

As the one closest to us, this one gets 2 stars for convenience but there's so much that can be improved. First of all - so many things are locked up. Everything from $5 facewash to socks to baby formula. Not the biggest issue in the world, but they are very poorly staffed so when you press the button to request an associate to come. It can take quite a while (I've waited for 15 minutes before for baby formula). So why not just order online for pick up? The order pick up is a novel concept, but again - it's usually one staff member working that area only. Ends up being the same situation. It had one of the largest self-check out areas before but now they closed off the majority of them so that only a few are open. Some of that is out of their control due to state legislation and overall theft rates, but it really defeats the purpose of it especially when register lines are long. Bottom line, this poor is very poorly staffed compared to other Targets. read more

Tried going in to buy a controller had like five employees standing at the end cap talking a black guy and like three or four women I looked around for employees to help me they all just ignored me . Found some people to call for assistance told them Xbox section walked back and waited and still no help once an employee walked past me and I called out to him and he ignored me becoming frustrated I began to walk out and then they tried addressing me asking me if I needed help. Hillsdale Target Management: I understand your security posture with loss prevention but could you be so kindly to post your lost prevention person at the front of the store "his" entire shift? Guest shouldn't feel targeted every time he pops up out of nowhere to ask the same person for a purchase receipt after handed a receipt by a store employee or machine just before they leave the store. Went in for my weekly target trip and felt like I was being followed by a certain employee. Figured I was just overthinking it and continued my trip. About an hour later I'm heading towards the front to check out the bull's-eye section again and the same employee tells me oh if you're ready to check out, she can help you here trying to direct me to an employee at a register. I let her know I was still not done. I was looking for something else and went about my business. After I found what I was looking for I went to a register and was checked out. The employee at the register was really nice. Help me out chitchatted & even talked to my son & we were on our way. At the door I get stopped by the security Itzel and she tells me that they check receipts. I asked her since when did this start And she tried to gaslight me and say that was always their policy and they did it for any order over $100. At this point other customers are walking out of the store, not getting checked so then I start to get irritated. I still handover my receipt because I have nothing to hide then Itzel decides to look at each and every item on my receipt and in the bag that they're in. I brought in my own reusable bag which happened to be the new target bag bag. And she questioned why that's not on the receipt. I let her know that's because I brought it in. She said no we sell those here. I know that you sell it here because I bought it here. Well, not this particular target but somewhere else. At this point, I'm a little bit more than aggravated as my son who's only four years old is asking me "mom you stole the bag? "Which I clearly didn't. So I tell the security guard since we're wasting each other's time let's check the cameras. As I say that she decides to just speak to somebody over her walkie-talkie and then decide to "let me leave" I said I wanted to speak to a manager. They told me that I can't speak to a manager, but the supervisor of the floor would help me. I spoke to the supervisor of the floor who asked me who it was, and I didn't see her name, but she said the lady with a short hair? And I said yes she said she will talk to her and that was about it. I completely understand loss prevention, but there are policies and if you're gonna tell me that you have a new policy, don't lie, if this was Costco 100% I know that I need to show my receipt. But I didn't even go through self check out. I went through a register was checked out with no problems. She didn't question me about my bag if I needed to purchase it she just asked me if I would like my items in that bag . But when I get to the front security and the other employee are whispering to make sure that she checks me, I shouldn't have to worry about people looking at me or my son thinking that we're stealing when we clearly aren't . If you really want be so adamant about your loss prevention, you should really pay attention to customers and what they walk in with before accusing them of walking out with something that they already purchased. I shouldn't have to worry about buying something at target and using/wearing it when I come into the store and getting accused of stealing it. read more

Scanning errors galore. About half the items ring up for more than the posted price. I like target mainly for random shopping, like greeting cards, soap, lotion and energy drinks. Sometimes guys workout gear like sweats and hoodies. I have been by a couple of times since the remodel, the front was pushed back with more walking space. I find it very confusing to maneuver around the store with the remodel, I just wing it and find stuff by looking at the end caps and merchandise.... It's covid era so I am sure they, along with ALL businesses in California are doing their absolute best to keep employee's and the public safe while keep business flowing. This review is for the Target West store on Hillsdale Ave. Guest Services gets a ZERO rating from me because I have been trying to contact them during their posted store hours from my landline for nearly an hour at the (408) 267-7900 +2 +2 number. After 20 rings, Target's Guest Services number automatically disconnects. Over and over and over. And when I tried the same number using my cell phone, I got a recording telling me that Guest Services won't pick up if you (have the audacity to) block your cell phone number, which I do. Very aggravating. I normally shop at Target Westgate, but somehow ended up placing my order with Target West by mistake. I've been trying to reach Guest Services to request a 1-day pickup extension to no avail. It is such a simple request if Guest Services were only available to its customers. But it isn't. This used to be my go to Target from back in the day. This Target is one the biggest ones in the county. Almost anything you need to find can be seen at this Target. There is plenty of parking nearby and this store is very easy to navigate. If you are looking for something to eat this is your local place to go. If not there are plenty of other eateries nearby. This Target is a grab and go, with a lot more self check-outs than other branches, you can go in and out quite quickly. For those who go to the gym nearby you can find some very affordable sports drinks and protein shakes at a very fair price. I would only come here if I a nearby Drawback: Despite the size of the store the restocking rate here is not that good. Even after 2020 there is still a hard time restocking a lot of key items. read more

This target is extremely unorganized unclean and it appears understaffed. There's enough parking. Not too many variety of sizes if you're looking at clothes and shoes. This is my current Target. PROS: Great eye doctor. I don't see anyone else. That could be because my prescription is so low. Also, the return counter almost always has 2 workers. Plus they have a separate Target.com counter, a Starbucks, and a secure free phone charging machine. CONS: The IN door is furthest from the parking lot. I have to take, like, who knows how many more steps. And I left my girlfriend's canvas bag there and they had it in Lost and Found, but then they lost it. I like how this location has so many self checkouts that I never have to wait every time I check out my items. This target also has plenty of parking and is located in a plaza w a lot of stores near like TJMAXX, smart and final so if you don't find ur things at target u can go there but most of the time you can find whatever u need at target LOL (quite convenient). Also wanted to note that they do online pickup and delivery as well!! I did a online pick up once because I was too lazy to look for my item in store and my review on this service is 10/10. Once I ordered my online pickup, it was ready within an hour. Going in to get the item was a quick service as well, even though there was a line when I got there. :D Also a note for the 24hr fitness buds next door, u can come here to target before/after for ur protein and pre-workout needs because they do have it!! read more

It's a horrible experience to shop at this location. 1. They have everything locked up in cabinets so you have to call to get shaving cream out. But on top of that, they have stopped responding to the calls. I walked out unable to get multiple items from my list. 2. Shelves seem to be not properly stocked. Big holes on the shelves. 3. This item drives me crazy. They have tons of self check out registers. There two side with about 6 on each side. The new trick is, they block off the majority of the registers so you can't use them. They minimize how many self registers are open so what was once a great convenience to the customer, is now a hassle because the registers are all being used and you have to wait in line to use a self check out register when there's plenty of others that they don't let you use. read more

This Target is down the street from my house. For all intents and purposes, this should be my go-to Target. With that being said, if I need to go to Target I go to either the Oakridge or Westgate locations. Ever since COVID, the service and stock has gone downhill at this location. I typically order to pick up, and for the last three years, not one order has been fulfilled with me having to either cancel or ship items, even though the app shows those items in-stock. Additionally when shopping in store, it always seems understaffed and the staff that is there more often than not seem peeved or inconvenienced when you need assistance, especially in self-checkout. The one saving grace this store has is it's optometry department, which has an awesome staff and their contracted optometrist is fantastic. read more

You noticed I was bored. I took photos with everything that was orange, because I like orange. Initially, I was waiting for my family to call me about where they decided for dinner after my gym visit at 24hr Fitness next door. But the more I waited, the more I noticed how neat this store was. Then, I started to like it here. I've been shopping at this Target store over and over until the day I flew out. Customers and staff are both nicer than other stores. Parking is always plenty. Our neighborhood Target is usually the first stop for anything I need, aside from fresh produce, but they do have a selection of produce as well. I love that it is one story with plenty of parking. Between the normal cashier lines and the self checkout, I rarely wait long. Also a Starbucks on site, although I prefer the one across the parking lot. read more

There is a Starbucks store right across from this target but we go the extra mile to get our coffee at this target Starbucks because of the nice baristas here . My favorite Target!! This target Always has the CLEANEST bathrooms, and when you lose your party balloon Ryan is there to get it down for you from the high ceilings, everyone at this location is helpful and takes the time to help you out. I really didn't think we were going to get my daughters balloon back but I asked a lady working and she went and got a latter and a long wand and asked this this boy Ryan if he could reach it. Only because of Jackeline did I not rate this store a ZERO score. She is in customer service and has to be THE MOST ACCOMMODATING PERSON I have ever encountered in a retail store. SHE DESERVES SIX STARS in her own accord. She remembers her customers for years; I actually heard her ask another customer how his elderly mother was doing that she often saw shopping with him ( GET THIS ) years ago! Most people in retail don't even remember me from the day before! Anyway TODAY'S EXPERIENCE could have killed someone. No it wasn't in customer service, it was, get this, in the pharmacy. We all know about the mandated social distancing rule ( stay 6 feet from the next possible Corona carrying human ) right?! Of course we all know this and once more it's a Governmental mandate! But do you think it's possible that the largest retailer in America, next to Walmart could possibly get this wrong?! Not possible I thought until I saw this ( see the picture enclosed ) So what do we do when we can't relay upon the Nation's 2nd best retailer to keep us safe from a deadly disease? And that's why I wear an N 95, goggles and gloves, because you can't; trust them that is! I did a crap load of shopping one night. Had two whining kids with me at night, forgot to put all of the items on the bottom of my shopping cart in my car due to the kids. I was upset at myself. I called target and asked if someone returned my items in the next day. The customer rep: Yaria? Was nice and pleasant and just said come on in and pick up the items that you were missing for free. Just bring in your receipt that did buy it. I was out the door in 30mim back at target after my call and got all of my items that I forgot to load in my car. If you want your time wasted go here. We go here because it's closest to our house. Unfortunately we just took our final visit to this location in general. The last 10 times we've gone there for an item and it wasn't there. The website and app would indicate for example 10 of these certain vacuums in stock. We'd get there and there would be 0 and the location was off like saying the vacuums were in the baby boy aisle. Every time this has happened an employee would verify "yup it says 10 but we have none on stock or in the back" and in some situations they'd mention "yeah that's weird we haven't had that in like 3 weeks" Rather go to the one on Saratoga Ave or oakridge where both only have 1 register open instead of waste my time at this location again. There have been more than 10 occasions where we go and they don't have something even though their app and store says they have plenty. Never had that issue at any other target in the area. read more
