I've never spent money so fast! The store had just what I needed, and I was able to arrange a time to come pick it up so I saved on the delivery. About four years ago, we bought two expensive leather power recliners with rechargeable batteries. We recently moved to Arizona, and our movers lost the chargers. I called the store and talked to our salesperson, Kevin Lam. What an exceptional person he is! Kevin listened to my explanation--I was trying to find and buy a new charger. It turned out it was difficult to find one, but he went out of his way, spent a lot of time and effort, and found one at a warehouse. Then he PERSONALLY, using his own money, mailed it to us in Arizona. Kevin is an amazing person and a wonderful human being! Great service and professionalism! The store is lucky to have you, Kevin. Great products. Stellar service. Plus, this new location is on point! I like a lot of the products (definitely not all ha) at Scandinavian Designs. The value is there especially if you buy when they have a sale going on. What tips this location over the 100% percentile for me is the awesome customer service by their one and only Romeo - the store manager. Romeo gives proper advice (I design homes for a living) and is patient throughout the whole process. He has tremendous follow-through so when he says he will call back, he actually calls back when he said he will call you back. Amazing, right? He's fast and clear too. I've worked with Ron who is a very attentive and caring in his manner of representing Scandinavian Design. He worked with us to select patio furniture for our outdoor design and gave his honest opinion on the pieces we chose, and helped us get the best price available. A few months after delivery I noticed we were missing a solar panel for the LED umbrella and he worked with me to get a replacement. I also worked with Romeo who helped with this initially as Ron was OOO and the level of care was beyond what I can say for other retailers. So happy with our patio furniture, we get compliments every time we host and have made our backyard a focal piece for parties and just chilling/ relaxing any day of the week. TERRIBLE and POOR quality , Terrible customer service the stand of the brand new sofa in less than 40 days using BROKEN already . We don't have a kid or heavy weight member. It used just for 40 days for a employed couple. It's one week we are waiting for The Scandinavian's response . The Quality is so bad. Love the contemporary style furniture, and especially Romeo's great assistance on helping us to pick up the best package to fit our budget and the design. The whole team is fantastic, my son missed his favorite car toy at the store, and the staff nicely saved our contact info, few days later, they found this tiny toy and gave us a call. After a quick call with the awesome store manager, the fourth piece was delivered as soon as it came into stock, without any fuss or additional fees. Really nice store; the staff are ready to help when you walk in. The store is huge - very spacious with high ceilings. Make sure you measure your space at home carefully, because what looks like a reasonably sized piece of furniture in their store may dwarf your space at home! I am hoping my review for Scandinavian Designs located on Blossom Hill Rd San jose will not only be read by Santa Clara County Yelpers, but also in counties beyond. My quest to assist my 91 year old friend find a much needed chair recliner was extremely challenging as her health had taken a down turn and due to weight loss she was not weak and frail. We went to several stores that specialized in recliners and chairs with ottomans, but each in-store visit was met with disappointment as my good friend was not strong enough to recline the chair and most were uncomfortable after only a few minutes of seating. We were not to be discouraged but it was getting so frustrating as the need for a well fitting chair was not only for comfort, but her doctor wanted her legs elavated every couple of hours. It was by God's Good Grace that my friend recalled a store she had shopped at long ago and suggested we give this store a try. Hence ... we ventured to Scandinavian Design on Blossom Hill. We were met my the manager, Romeo Bilbes, who listened to our needs and led us through the store to various chairs he thought might be suitable for my friends needs. By this time my friend was beyond tired so I had her sit and rest as I navigated through the store. As I naviagated the beautiful showroom, I happened to find THE CHAIR, Stressless Recliner that would be The Saving Grace!! I brought my friend over and had her sit in it ... and sit in it ... and after several minutes, my friend's smile and face conveyed "This is it!!" Salesman, Chester Paguio, came over and asked if there was anything he could do to assist and I told him our story. He said the chair was only a display chair and in order to purchase we would have to Speacial Order and it would be ready in 6 to 8 weeks. I informed him that we truly needed this chair now as my friend's health had declined and her doctor wanted her to elevate her legs every two hours, so we really needed to purchase it ASAP. Chester was very empathic and stated he would do all he could and went to speak with his manager (Romeo Bilbes). After many minutes, Chester came back and informed us he and his manager had contacted corporate and explained my friend's immediate need for the chair and they agreed with Chester and Romeo that it would be okay for my friend to purchase the display chair. Hooray! Adding Icing to all this, they also gave her the ability to take it home for 48 hours and if it didin't workout, then we could return it for a full refund ... AND they took off $100 AND offered to deliver the chair at no charge! I am happy to report there was no need for a return and my friend could not be happier with the Stressless Recliner!! I understand my review is long winded, but I wanted you all to know this company exhibited not only Excellent Customer Service, but Also Goodwill BEYOND MEASURE!!! Short story: I'm not sure I've ever experienced better customer service before; and most of the thanks goes to Romeo. Longer story (read to the end because there are a lot of Customer Support kudos): My wife and I went to the showroom on Blossom Hill to check out couches and entertainment stands. Romeo greeted us when we entered and let us know he was available if we needed any help or had questions; that was all, no hovering. We explored the showroom and found some items that interested us. Romeo made himself available and we chatted thru some of the details of the products. Romeo walked us thru the pros and cons given our lifestyle needs (having a small child and crazy yellow lab). We found the items that were perfect for our situation and he helped us check out; applying all deals and discounts without us having to pry for them. We scheduled our delivery date, and were on our way. Fast forward a couple weeks. Our house is undergoing a major renovation and, as all construction projects go, we had underestimated the timeline to when the room would be ready. I called to reschedule delivery, Romeo happened to pick up and he seemed to remember exactly who I was from weeks earlier. He then helped me push the delivery date out a couple weeks, no questions asked. Fast forward a couple more weeks. Construction still underway. I called again to reschedule delivery and push it out a couple weeks. No problem, no questions asked. Fast forward a couple weeks. The items we safely delivered to the house (very friendly delivery duo too). Items are dropped off in the living room; I waived installation. Observing and inspecting the size of the securely wrapped pieces of furniture, started to get me thinking if this couch would even fit in the living room space. I check the website for dimensions, cut out come cardboard dimension pieces to see scale, and positioned them in the room. Yep, definitely too large for the room. Apparently when you look at furniture in a big a$$ warehouse, the pieces seem smaller than they actually are. My wife then called customer support to ask about the return policy (since, frankly, I was too embarrassed after rescheduling twice and then completely ignoring room measurements). She was transferred to Romeo since he had processed the order; he was delightful as usual. Outcome: since we hadn't opened the protective shipping wrap and had also called within 14 days of delivery, there was no restocking fee. Additionally, since we were planning on getting a [much smaller] couch from them, they could pickup the original couch when they dropped off the new couch for no additional fee. AND, since we had purchased the couch during a couch sale, Romeo offered us the same promo that had now been expired for close to 3 months. He is a rockstar, and we are so appreciative of his support and flexibility! read more

Look for Romeo. He's really helpful and explained everything to us. It's difficult to find your favorite furnitures but you should give this store a shot. Remeo called me a few hours after we left the store to confirm the delivery date again and kept me posted on those pieces what weren't in stock. The delivery guys are very nice too. They arrived on time (actually a bit earlier and they called and waited for me). They brought in furnitures and assembled them right away. It was raining on that day and they still finished their job. There was a little split on the wood of our coffeetable (actually I didn't even notice before they pointed out, but they were very honest and told me) and they took note of that and I'd get a new one for free, and free delivery and they take away the old one. Finally decided to purchase a Dalea sectional from this store! I went into the store to sit on the couch and loved it. Perfectly sized and appropriately priced. The staff were great - they wore masks and didn't rush us even though it's almost their store closing time. Chester helped me with all my questions and 2 weeks later, I called them to purchase the couch! Delivery was also smooth. The 2 guys were able to put the couch together within 10 mins and they wore masks the whole time. Super happy with everything and so glad I chose this store. The new store is very spacious with lots of furniture on display. On the grand opening day they had 20% off so I took the chance and bought more. I just had the best service at this store. The entire staff is smiling all the time and they all greet you immediately when you enter the store. They all help each other with customer needs. I worked with Ron to pick out my furniture. I met Audra who is the assistant manager the following day to place the order. She remembered first thing in the morning that I was coming and was ready to work on the order. I needed the furniture to be delivered in another city and on a specific day because my husband was going to have surgery and I needed to care for him. She told me she would call the delivery center and see if they could arrange a way to squeeze this delivery earlier. She called within 30 minutes with the great news. Buyer Beware. I was deceived and lied to by one of the managers, Audra at the store when I purchased a VERY expensive sectional. She was not honest about how many pieces came with the sectional I ordered. I looked it up online when I got home and found out that what she told me was not true. Went back to the store and discussed with her, but she twisted the story around. Sectional has not been delivered, will be canceling the order and going elsewhere. We came to this store many times to look at furniture and finally decided on few items. Biggest one would be the dining table that Audrey recommended, some battery candles, and a floor standing mirror. The store sell quality stuff at a pretty decent price in my opinion, yes, you can probably find cheaper items in some other furniture stores near by, but the quality won't nearly as good. Plus my sales person Audrey's service is excellent, she is always trying to save us money and give recommendations that makes sense. We fell in love with the sectional couch, cowhide carpet and other items. We had a great experience here. Associates were helpful but also let you go at your own pace. The show room/store has tons of options. Once we decided to purchase, they were efficient and got us a delivery scheduled and donation pick up options for old furniture. The delivery team arrived on time and were fantastic. Within 15 mins they delivered and assembled all of our furniture and took the packaging with them. This was the best large purchase experience I've ever had. I would definitely return to this store.
