We all know that Trader Joe's staff and customer service is phenomenal but let me tell you what happened one Saturday morning. My toddler son dropped his hot wheel and it rolled under the apples cart. He was screaming his head off because that's what toddlers do. I told one of the staff members and they moved the cart but couldn't reach it. Of course it rolled right into the middle of the Apple cart. a few attempts, 15 mins later and 5 more staff members trying to get it, we were finally able to get the hot wheel out. It was a whole ordeal and caused a scene. I was sweating trying to get to it. All the customers there were confused but I didn't care. We got my son's favorite hot wheel in the end LOL THANK YOU TRADER JOES STAFF! Ya'll are best. read more

I can't believe I've never left a review of Trader Joes! I guess it's never to late so hear I go. It's COVID season so they are restricting the number of people in the store. With restaurants still closed to indoor dining, they appear busier than I pre-COVID. That might just be my perception though. Don't let the long lines trick you into think it will be 30 minutes before you get it. I think the longest I ever waited was less than 10 minutes. They do a good job of pulsing people in. Meanwhile, they usually have some nice flowers and plants outside you can browse. They also have an pop-up tent for shade once you get closer to the door. Inside, no social distancing is enforced and sadly, some people don't care. Therefore, you're on your own to avoid people. This might mean going down a clear aisle and swinging back up the other way to grab something you want. To me, their standout is the meat section. We feed our dog real food and chicken is his favorite. At $1.99/lbs for drumsticks, it's a deal as I'll buy 6-7 packages at a time. For other foods, it's hit and miss when purchasing their branded items. You can find a lot of reviews online on which items to avoid that don't quite make the grade. Otherwise, the employees I've encountered are always super nice and honestly appear to want to help. read more

Friendly and helpful staff, and I usually do not have any issues with parking. I do have to knock this store down a point because I have had several purchases where a product was found to be spoiled. This has included moldy bread (this was Ezekial bread which I believe is usually shipped to stores frozen, and should be sold quickly and refrozen due to moisture/ condensation). I have also made the mistake of purchasing bri cheese that was molding (green in the soft area) and broccoli that was in the middle. I have noticed at times that refrigerated areas, such as where items such as guacamole, and dips are found, did not seem to be cold enough. I have also purchased frozen items and, once opened, noticed that they had melted and refroze. As expected with Trader Joes, I have not had any issue with getting credited for these bad products. It is also possible that these problems may have been resolved, as I can not recall any issues in recent months, but I am more cautious now when shopping here. read more

I honestly don't get how people can go to this cramped, chaotic location and think "I'm completely satisfied. This place deserves 5 stars." Maybe they go first thing in the morning when it's dead but it's been the same the few times for me over the years - including today. Small chaotic parking lot, small chaotic store and both with the constant worry of hitting someone since space is so limited. Lines are usually long but the cashiers do work fast. I know that's what Trader Joe's is kinda known for this but it's especially bad at this location. You would think given how successful Joe's has been they would move this store to a bigger location nearby. read more

Let me start off I'm a loyal Trader Joe's customer and will remain so. I probably shop there once a week. What is concerning is the too often report of theft. I do not go to this particular Trader Joe's. Mine is the one on Irvine Blvd in Tustin. However if I'm out and about and I pass a Trader Joe's in a different area I will absolutely stop in to shop. What I read on the Next Door app is about this store so that's the reason I'm posting it here. What is concerning is why has Trader Joe's become a target for theft. Yes, it happens everywhere. Occasionally there's a post about Target or Costco. But it's hard to understand why thrives are finding this chain so inviting. I posted an article on yelp once before when my store was being a target. Someone from upper management contacted me and it was good to hear their paying attention. Solutions are what is needed. First and foremost customers need to be more conscientious. Do not leave your bags in the cart even for a moment unattended. Second should Trader Joe's consider having security in each store? The presence of security might deter thieves wandering the store. The stores are small in comparison to the big chains in which some do have security. And last if that is not an option how about posting obvious signs boldly throughout the store. That too might make a thief a little less secure that shoppers are aware of their belongings. Management has to be aware of this problem. Thanks for the victims who take the time to post these crimes encouraging us to take precautions so we don't wind up victimized also. Let's hope that Trader Joe's gets more active in protecting their loyal customers. read more

The store is smaller and they don't carry everything. The cashiers are very diligent about carding Everyone so even if you are over 50, you'll still need to bring your id if you want to buy liquor. Also check your receipts. They like to sneak in an extra bag fee even if you brought your own bags! Possibly on the hopes of not checking your receipt. read more

Decided to go to Trader Joe's to get some gifts for coworkers since it's their go to snack place. And it wasn't too far from Disneyland according to google. Located in a mall complex this location had ample parking. In terms of appearance and layout, this is just the standard Trader Joes. So finding items was easy since it's just like any other one. Got my coworkers some maple leaf cookies, dark chocolate bars, and trail mix. Nothing they haven't asked for or always get for the office. There was ample supply of the items that I wanted. And this location wasn't overly crowded. The customer service was helpful and friendly. read more

I don't come here often because of the distance, but will make the trek in the fall to pick up pumpkins, gourds, and pumpkin flavored items. There are pumpkin bars, breads, cookies, cereals, bagels, chips, soups, dips, and other items. They have good prices and make it worth the trip. Wish there was one a little closer because we would go more often. They can get a little backed up at the check stands when the get bust, but be patient. They are doing the best they can. read more

Been to this TJ location the last couple times since I was in the area. I have been very impressed with the staff and their care during this COVID-19 situation. They diligently sanitize each cart before a customer goes into the store, and make sure to only allow a certain amount of people in at a time to ensure our safety. While some may find this an inconvenience and/or annoying, it's definitely nice/comforting to know that TJ's staff cares. Even whilst shopping, each TJ member was overly nice and took a genuine interest in the customers. This location is very well stocked and even with everything going on in the world, I was able to be in and out with every desired item pretty quickly. -Vegan Mac -Pineapple Salsa -Moscato -Waffles *SO MANY FAVS* Wouldn't shop anywhere else. I LOVE trader joes! This location is closest to me, so I don't visit other stores too often. I'm not sure if it's just this location, but the quality progressively getting worse. I fear it may not b3 with will the recalls lately. :( I gave up on getting milk here a couple years ago bc it always spoiled so quickly. Now it seems the produce just isnt very good. Apples are usually soft and bruised. Tomatoes are fuzzy, and moldy. Everything in the refrigerator section is always wet!! I don't understand... The egg cartons are wet. The lunch meat packages are wet. The salad and vegetable packages are wet. I had to wipe everything down when I got home and find a new container for my cucumbers. read more

Agree with other reviews that this place was incredibly crowded and chaotic. It was about 4pm on a Saturday so maybe that explains it. The parking lot was likewise crazy so just park further away. Still not having a Trader Joe's where we live, I was happy with all the prepared food options, nuts, teas, snacks, dip and cheese. Got my stash of everything but the bagel. Lines were long and chaotic and blocking the aisles. But service was friendly. They guessed that we were from Hawaii based on how we stocked up on teas and nuts and when we mentioned how we don't have a Trader Joe's. Wanted to buy water but they only had an expensive brand so popped over to cvs next door. Able to get a healthy dinner to bring back to the hotel. So one star off for the crowdedness but otherwise just happy to go here when I can. read more

By far my favorite Trader Joe's! Workers are always friendly, it's always very clean and organized, and even their restrooms are clean. My infant accidentally kicked a bottle today and the gentleman that was there(might've been the manager since he was in professional attire) was very kind and didn't make us feel horrible for the accident, he was even joking around with us. I was racially profiled and harrassed at this location last month by a manager and an employee. I was asked to have my bags checked that I payed for as I was leaving the store. I was humiliated by the manager that day. I was also followed out of the store after it was determined that I paid for my items. Whats the point of having us line up outside if there are so many ppl inside?! Plus the extremely close back to back check out stations. Why not open one station close the next one & so on. Always love going here. Not always have a need but there is at least a few things that I like to buy. The store itself isn't that big, but there is a good variety to choose from. The brand foods are normally very delicious as well. I really enjoy the trader Joe's brand chocolate with coconut powder on it. Very delicious! I highly recommend. I love experimenting with all their delicious goodness of tastey ingredients and coming up with my own recipes. If your not kitchen literate, they have a lot of prepackaged meals and simple recipes that make it look like you know what your doing. Located at the corner of Meats and Tustin next to CVS, with plenty of parking, but not always good parking. Now I know a lot of people say TJs is expensive. But it really isnt, as long as you always keep your must have ingredients on hand, like the cooking oils, basic dairy, spices, rice, dry stuff, ect. The only thing I think that adds up is the meats. But, they are so worth it. The flat iron steak and Pollo Asada are perfect to throw on the grill for a quick dinner. Pick up the frozen roasted peppers, garlic cubes, stir fry and put it some toasted flatbread along with your meat and its yum yum in the tum tum. Pair it with a premade salad and pick up one of the mini cakes and it will seem you spent forever in the kitchen, when you were done in 30 minutes. The key is to add your own touch to everything, use something pre made, like a sauce, but add something else. Service at TJs is always exceptional. To work at TJs it must be in the job requirement to be cool. Everyone has a good vibe and attitude. Love it, just like the other Trader Joe's I have been to, the people are freindly and helpful. Some, are hipster-like but without the attitude and tone. The selection of items is great. Close to 91, 55 and Tustin ave, very convenient, and a huge parking lot because of the Village mall. From thier little carrots to thier steaks to thier sweet cookies. Thier soy ice cream is very tasty too. In fact, so many great tasting soy products from choco-milk to tofu and beyond. whole wheat products here meet my requirements, WOW. Thier selection of lean, quality proteins such as chicken, beef and fish is nice. Thier junkfood is quality junkfood, saflower and canola oils instead of hydrogenated & animal oils. Sugar and natural fruit instead of corn syrup. Seemingly smaller fruit/vegetable section than thier Bellflower store but still, like it. Thier frozen fruit is great for smoothies. Cereal, incedentals, pasta, frozen treats, beer and wine all in a convenient location. Dont forget to try thier awesome vegan cookies. You will normally see samples being given away of cheese, beef, etc and you will almost always get a freindly person at the register on your way out. Steadily declining. Every visit seems to be worse than the time before... And it's just as of lately, within the past two months, the employees are less and less friendly, less helpful. Today, I was in line waiting to check out and there were 3 people standing around, one of them looked at me and just ignored that I was waiting there and that she could've helped me. one employee literally bumped into me before and didn't apologize until I scoffed and said something to his coworkers and mentioned how rude that was. I hope MANAGEMENT sees this and trains their employees how to be more helpful and alert I have many more complaints about THIS store in particular, it does NOT meet up to Trader Joe's standards :/ read more

Excellent selection of cheeses, freshly baked breads, pressed juices, and produce. I love their fresh orange juice and pineapple juice with nothing added. The only downside to this location is that the parking lot is tiny compared to other locations. The parking is in a corner of the Village of Orange parking lot squeezed next to CVS parking and it's almost always crowded. Be prepared for a line at checkout too. Worth the craziness though for the delicious food. read more
