I don't make it that often, but I always enjoy the experience. From the flowers to the frozen food, to seasoning, to cheese, all the way to the employees in their floral shirts - it's usually a good time. The staff is fantastic, they have a great selection of items, and it just tastes good! The frozen butter chicken entree is my go to for "emergency meals" at work when I didn't have leftovers, etc. And what's even better - it doesn't taste like a frozen meal - it's just yummy! Needed to update my TJ review because this is no longer the only TJ in town. They gave us a second but put it further down the road in MTP! We need you in Summerville TJ. My number one go to is their beef birria in the freezer section. I also bought a bunch of new proteins from the refrigerator and freezer section to give a try. They swap out items seasonally. My favorite season is fall when they have their cranberry orange relish and the gingerbread mini cream pies. Year round there is usually a great selection of fresh flowers. We love Trader Joe's!! The produce is awesome, they have great prices and selections! We always stock up on seasonal produce! TJ's also has a wonderful selection of fresh flowers and plants. Customer service is fabulous, everyone there is so helpful and kind! I will say if you find a product you love that is seasonal, stock up because it will probably sell out! The kids love going with me because it's such a fun store! I love that I don't have to worry about GMO's or food dyes! Some of our favorite things to get there: peanut butter with honey, naan garlic bread, cookie butter and hazelnut spread. We also love their sparkling water flavors.. blueberry lemonade and raspberry lime are favorites! We always get eggs from TJ's but wish they would let you purchase more than one dozen at a time. The cheese selection is also fabulous, you can build a delicious charcuterie board with the meat and cheese sections. If you are anywhere near a Trader Joe's, take a minute to stop in! A nice and convenient location for Trader Joe's in the Mt. Pleasant area. They have a good inventory and variety of items and they also have the mini tote bags (probably subject to change per inventory). The workers are super nice and friendly and are careful when bagging your groceries and items. Decent amount of parking space as well as it's usually not super crowded that you're unable to park. read more

I've been spending more time at my local farmers market and The Fresh Market to select food that is better for me. Best service of any grocery store! This is saying something when small mom and pop stores often dominate in the service side the biz.

I love shopping here but they need a bigger space! It's hard to get by in many of the aisles, definitely very cramped at busier times, the store doesn't fit very many people. All the employees are very kind and willing to answer any questions you may have. They had free samples of goat cheese and crackers when I was here this week, so that was a nice surprise! Most things here are amazing, a few you can skip, but you really can't go wrong with practically anything in the store. I have noticed the prices do seem to be going up on some items, it is not as affordable as it used to be, which is a little disappointing. I will need to try out the new location soon, although I don't believe it's any bigger, I've heard they have a better parking lot! read more

4-22-24 and 5-17-24 OMG I love you Trader Joe's this location is no exception, it had everything I need and want. Bonus is that they are so nice and friendly we need more of that in the World. So first visit hubby took me and waited in the car as we were out furniture shopping all day in Mount Pleasant. He couldn't believe how packed this place is mid day with every parking space taken and as soon as some leaves another person immediately takes the space. So once inside since I didn't have a refrigerator yet only a freeze I needed everything. So I got a bag of sweet yellow onions I love these as they are nice and small. Got a bag of red onions too. Next visit I get their Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice it is a must every visit. I go to their spices get one of each. The cleaning area love the shampoos and conditioner. Get both choices as well as dish soap. Their spatulas and spoons that are rubberized are the best for cooking. The wines I get some Rose and Sauvignon Blancs. I have to restock as my new house has nothing. Snacks I adore the pita crackers as well as their brand of Matzo for Passover is a first for me but truly the best I ever tasted. Cheeses I love their Cheddar, Gouda smoked,Brie with mushrooms and sliced cheeses for sandwiches. Salamis are great especially pre sliced for a nice charcuterie board. Nuts with Everything seasoning,cheese puffs and black licorice from New Zealand. The taffy, chocolate covered cocoa beans, and chocolate chip half chocolate dippers are to die for. The frozen peas,sweet corn, broccoli are so well priced. As is their hand cut French fries and we definitely need the Mac and cheese bites. The pickles sweet butter chips as well as dill spears. By this time my cart is pretty full and I have no bags with me. So I get theirs at $.99 each and they say South Carolina so nice. Wait we need some flowers so many varieties hard to choose so I picked an assortment with daisies, miniature roses and Gerber daisies. Then some lilies for fragrance just perfect. Trader Joe's I love you but the two hours each way is difficult but definitely a treat. Can you please consider Hilton Head and Savannah for your next locations I would be eternally grateful, your biggest fan. read more

I am a college student so having a trader joes nearby makes the college grocery shopping a lot easier, from their frozen meals butter chicken, to their fresh burritos in the cooler section or the plentiful of snack they have. Trader joes never gets old to me, can always count on a new fun item to spice up you grocery haul. Not to mention the people there are the sweetest and usually so genuine that are on the team there. They always have a recommendation up their sleeve or will make sure none of your apples of brown spots. They care there. now on the other hand parking is scary, i ,maybe i always choose to go at the wrong time, but the parking can be a little tricky with how small the lot is but do a few circles and you'll find the perfect spot. Just know it will all be worth it after you grab some flowers and a fun snack ( the herb popcorn is a recommendation) read more

Who doesn't love stopping in to Trader Joe's! Some of our all-time favorite snacks and meals come from TJ's. The service is always excellent. Although the parking lot at this location can be hard to find a parking spot, we always have! Outside there are an array of plants. Once you grab a cart and head in, you will find a few specials at the entrance, as well as fresh flowers, and the produce area. We absolutely love the jicama wraps as a replacement for taco shells. The preseasoned and marinated Carne Asada is excellent. the cheese selection can't be beat! We love to pair the cheese with the stores crisps. I posted a picture of the fig and Olive ones, but we have loved all of them. Especially the rosemary ones. We love getting the inexpensive reusable bags as gift cards for people. There is also a great selection of nuts. One of our more recent favorites was the olive and herbs mixed nuts. During the holidays, we love to get the Christmas Jojos. We do not live in Charleston, so we absolutely bring a cooler. But if you do not remember one, they always have insulated bags for sale! Don't forget to snag a few sweet treats. The drawback with this Trader Joe's, somewhat predictably, was that their modest parking area was unable to handle the crowds. I snuck into an empty lot across the street with signs that warned of towing and did my business reasonably quickly. Despite the crowds, it was only a short wait to check out; you can't fault TJ's for efficiency. I found most of the things I was looking for as well. They weren't quite as strong on fruits as I'd hoped and the Belgian endive I like wasn't there, but these stores never have 100% of what you want. The price and the selection is certainly good enough to make me sad that I don't have a Trader Joe's where I live. read more

I love the cards, unique candy or gift sets, essentials with a kick, ice cream flavors (check out the boba kinds and the wildberry cheesecake!), the gochujang sauce, dill-anything, and most of all their chicken wontons!! The staff here are wonderful. I feel welcomed and taken care of every time I come in-- even on the busiest days of the year (the week before Christmas and Thanksgiving for example). The parking lot is a mess. But I never have to wait more than five minutes for a spot. They usually have everything I need in stock and have a great selection of items. This is my favorite grocery store. Things are priced just right. I prefer getting fresh cut flowers from here because of the price and the quality. The produce is of great quality as well. Do try their salad kits which are delicious. They also have ready to eat meal kits. Some of the favorite things to pick up from this grocery store are juices, coconut water, fresh produce, ready to eat salad kits, frozen Indian food, canned fizzy juices, potted plants. I have to shoutout the sweet employee who noticed my boyfriend buying a surplus of flowers for me while in the "dog house". Trader Joe's is a great grocery shopping stop. I like to alternate between Trader Joe's and Harris Teeter to get my full stock of goods when it comes to grocery shopping. Fun tip: You can ask an associate to open anything to try it in the store and decide if you like it. I don't think this would apply to frozen stuff or meat or non-ready foods but it is a great option when considering something new. The biggest win for Trader Joe's is the customer service and staff. Because of this, the shelves are always stocked and your shopping trip is an enjoyable experience. The portion sizes of the food are perfect size for people cooking for 1 or 2. You may need to buy 2 portions for a family. My go to items are the Mexican Street corn, French Green Beans, Orange Chicken, Jalepeno Limeade, and the Chicken Curry sauce. read more

Such an awesome grocery store, I only wish we had one on James island! It's always busy here, but I guess for good reason. Fresh produce, reasonably priced premade salads & wraps, really good frozen food selections, and dog treats my pup loves made of banana & peanut butter. This is one of the few places I can find ready-to-cook falafel. Lots of vegetarian and vegan-friendly items. I am also a big fan of the TJ brand elote corn chips paired with the spicy avocado hummus. They're more expensive compared to other Trader Joe's I've been to around the states. I highly think it is because they're in Mount Pleasant of all places. I didn't think I've had the friendliest service from the staff here after shopping there about 5 times. They always seem disinterested in helping or giving out recommendations. I have been back to Trader Joe's several times since my last review. I try to go during off peak hours and I try to load up in one trip. The crowds have not changed, and some of the customers are ruthless. A customer hit me with her cart on this trip and she didn't even notice. She just continued to plow through the store to her what she needed as quickly as she could. The employees were very friendly and checkout was quick and efficient. I love Trader Joe's, and wish they would open another in the area to meet the demand! read more
