This was one of the most frustrating and unacceptable shopping experiences I've had -- and it happened at 4:29 PM on Saturday, August 9. I came in to pick up a *produce box* I had pre-ordered. It was pouring down rain, so I asked the staff to bring it to the covered grocery pick-up area where I had parked. That should have been simple. Instead, it was anything but. While inside, I tried to buy a bouquet of roses clearly marked \$9.99 with Shopper's Club. I entered my Shopper's Club number at self-checkout, but the discount Didn't get taken off Even though the computer recognized my shoppers club number. Instead of fixing it on the spot, I had to walk the clerk over to the floral section to prove the price so they could manually override it -- wasting more time while my pre-order sat unattended. When I finally got to the pickup area, the clerk couldn't even open the door to get my groceries outside. We had to stand there and wait for a manager to unlock it -- again, while it was pouring rain. Between the price issue, the slow and uncoordinated service, and the complete lack of preparation for a pre-arranged order in bad weather, this was **beyond irritating**. Lowe's Foods seriously needs to fix their customer service and basic operational training at this store read more

I just moved here from NYC. It's like stepping into a comfy Farmhouse grocery store. It's never Hectic and crazy, the lines are RARELY long, the people working there are super friendly and helpful. It's not too big a store like others and I got to know my way around pretty fast . The prices are good! My only suggestion for my favorite things from NYC I don't see in any supermarket : BANANA YOGURT ( large tub) TROPICANA GRAPEFRUIT JUCE LARGE MOTTS APPLESAUCE Other than that all is good! Having a cocktail while shopping one night might be fun too! How about some dance music for happy hour- could be a money maker! read more

we shopped at Lowe's for the first time recently. we wanted to take advantage of their sale on beef tenderloins, and assumed they were equal quality to Costco or Walmart. I realize that the rule is buyer beware but the store was beautiful so I felt safe. Boy was I mistaken! I bought 400.00$ worth of the meat. I vacuum seal and freeze it in packages and get it right into the freezer. last night I took out some to cook for my son and when I tasted it, I couldn't believe it. It was awful. It tasted wild or perhaps spoiled. I would never feed my family this meat. I guess I now have over '$400.00 worth of dog food. read more

This review is for The Cakery. I recently had my daughter's custom made high school graduation cake made here. I contacted an amazing baker I know, Devon, to find out she no longer works privately but is now a baker for Lowes. I was really sad that "A little slice of Devon" no longer exists, but I was confident that the cakes at Lowes MUST be good if Devon is baking them. I made a time to go and meet with Devon and she helped me design the cakes. Although not as decadent as her previous designs with fondant, I was very happy with what we came up with. The cakes were a huge hit!!! And at a very reasonable cost too! The cakes were exactly how we designed them, in the perfect colors and they tasted delicious. Lowes, you have a keeper right there! I love the variety of specialty food sections at Lowe's Foods from pizza, to sandwiches and wraps, fried chicken and desserts. In addition to being a full grocery store I've been able to pickup easy to heat lunch items for work and grab quick items for dinner when I don't feel like cooking. The selection is vast. They have an area with fresh bread and the quality of the bread is excellent (soft, fresh) it is really good. The store offers a savings card which provides additional savings for customers upon checkout. The service is professional and everything is organized with great signage and easy to locate. read more

Close by, convenient. A lot of prices are higher, but they always have great specials. On Thirsty Thursdays their coffee shop doubles as a beer and wine distribution center for all of their guests. It can get crowded. I'd recommend getting there before 5pm if possible. read more

Coming from Boone, NC, I can attest that Lowe's Foods is a great addition to the area! So happy Mt Pleasant finally got one, although I know the need for another grocery store wasn't dire. That said, I think they put it in a good location, and I know it's adding to the town and Highway 41 as a whole. This Lowes foods is somewhat similar and also a little different from others I've been to. The big sandwich station, coffee station, and smokehouse and sausage stations are not at the Boone location while The Cakery, Beer Den, and chicken station are. The cakes here are simple, elegant, and delicious and come in a variety of sizes. The Lowes brand foods taste just as good as the well-known brands also in stock, sometimes better (FYI: snag a bag of their granola). They house different food items not always found at other locations (shout out to the BabyBell cheese and miniature Ritz cracker combinations I can't find elsewhere!) or at least are usually the first to have them (Hershey's strudels anyone?!) All the staff with whom I interacted this evening were exceptionally friendly. The store was clean and inviting, inside and out. Way to go! read more

I was checking out, and there were two boys in front of me, along with an older gentleman. The gentleman was taking longer than usual, so one of the cashiers standing there looked and said to the boys, "I can take you", so I also went behind them. As soon as she was done checking out the two young boys, she says to me, "Sorry, register closed." I walked out and then came back and commented to a manager. The manager defended her. I said to her, "well, why couldn't she just say I can't ring you up because I can't ring up alcohol sales." Horrible customer service. I will never shop there again. read more

Oh my gosh I am so excited to finally have a Lowes foods right across the street from my subdivision!! The only issue is it's caused so much more traffic on the corner of Highway 41 and the entrance to Lowe's. I'm thankful they put up a temporary stoplight, however now I can no longer take a left or go straight out of my subdivision when there's no traffic. Hopefully, we will get a new light that has the caution yellow arrow to correct this. I am loving Lowes and their selections. The beer den and food "court" is awesome. Then the outdoor patio!!! Sweet!! I'm trying some of their Lowes brands and am very pleased, especially the sausages!! We chose the Greek God version this weekend for a cookout and they were a huge hit !! I have to say, I've been to Lowes now, quite a few times. It's a very nice supermarket and is very near the house. Perfect for avoiding 17 when the need to go grocery shopping arrives. Also perfect for avoiding crowds of people with its wide aisles and spaced out inventory. The staff are numerous and super helpful without being intrusive. I love their upscale offerings and wide variety of vegetables and spices, not to mention the large selections of cheese & wines. It truly is lovely to come here to do the dredge of grocery shopping. They have a cute coffee bar, deli counter and ohhh the bakery... dangerous... The novel idea of snipping the exact amount of herbs needed is a great idea. Love that. This supermarket is great and each time I come, I say I need to come more often. They also have their own gas and a strip mall has developed all around them. Definitely worth the detour to break the monotony of the chore!! read more

I hate grocery shopping, I avoid it at all costs but having 4 kids means I can't avoid it as much as I would like to. My husband went to Lowes and he was going on about how awesome it was so I finally went to check it out. I must say it is awesome I was kind of excited about it. I love the bakery, the deli, the coffee bar, the wine selection is huge the store is so cute and well organized the prices seemed in line with a Publix and Harris Teeter. This is our new favorite grocery store in Mt Pleasant! It has all you need all in one shop. Plus the have tons of ready to serve foods like BBQ sandwiches and more! Also, there meat/seafood department also has so many fresh options to choose from. There produce section has tons of locally grown vegetable's and fruits also a lot of things you may not be able to find in other grocery stores. The staff there is super friendly and always more then happy to help you find whatever it is you need. I definitely recommend this grocery store if you are looking somewhere new to shop. read more

I was unable to get it delivered (totally understandable, I had alcohol) but Brian was easy to get ahold of when I made other arrangements. I love the grocery store. They even have a bar inside which makes shopping less of a drag. We get the fresh grapefruit each week.

I am most impressed with the variety of lunch options and the ease of grabbing lunch at the Lowes Food Market sit-down cafe on Hwy 41. You order your sandwich, panini, or pizza, pay, and sit down either inside or outside. If you want a salad, their salad bar is off the charts. read more

It's perfectly situated just walking distance from my home but that's not the reason why it's a five-star. This unique store is five stars....Because it's layout makes it so easy to find what your shopping for and it kinda has a down home farm-chic-ness like a well organized Whole Foods! Yet, this stores Isles are wider and very straightforward! Let me start by saying I've ordering the same 8 pc chicken for over a year and for some unfortunate reason the last month it's been a real let down. Flavors use to be on point and flavorful. The last time I picked it up for the family it was tasteless, I mean bland doesn't begin to describe it. I gave it another chance and ordered it again 2 weeks later. It was awful and I'm so disappointed because it use to be my favorite spot to grab fried chicken nearby. Now I guess Publix will be it for my fried chicken fix. read more

This place is amazing. Opened a week ago. They have outside seating to enjoy a pint, and a chiller for your wines. The people at the seafood area are extremely knowledgeable and the guest services was delightful. You know the recipe you want to make that calls for a fresh herb you don't have and you have to buy a big thing that will go bad? I can cut my own herbs for as much as I need guys... I had been going to the Harris Teeter almost across the street, they had always been very helpful. Then Lowe's opened...Wow. The produce is excellent, the bakery is super fresh and very good. I'm disabled and they help when they can...they have their own scooters.There is a gourmet meat counter as well as the regular meats. The atmosphere is great and most employees are great (And they have been weeding out the lesser ones--Expected in a fairly new store. I still drop by Harris Teeter for the one item they don't have on occasion. But over 90% of my shopping is at Lowe's. At night you have to ring your own groceries, but most of the attendants will help me when they see my difficulty and my partner has wandered off. Now if they could just get in Hot Pockets Beef Taco flavor (Don't ask why).... Would be nice if they carried Crawfish as I am a Jambalaya freak. Do not fail to try the muffins! read more

Moving to MP from Charlotte I remember well the Lowe's foods. Started out great and little by little prices went up and management control went down ending in them leaving the market only after a couple years. Saturday morning: out of whole chicken thighs, Wallburgers and several other items we needed. Ended up leaving the store and driving to HT up the street.. hope things change for the better we need the competition down here. Today will be our last visit to Lowe's Food in Mt Pleasant. In the midst of the Coronavirus, again, out of sanitation wipes and had to ask the service desk to replace. No visible management anywhere. Not implying management is not there, just incapable of managing. No precautions taken whatsoever to make their customers feel comfortable in the store in light of the virus. Bathrooms look like they've not been cleaned in days. We decided at this point to leave. Drove a couple of miles down the road to good old Publix...what a difference: greeters at the front door cleaning carts and directing traffic streams in the store. Store employees wearing masks and gloves. We wanted desperately for Lowe's to hit it out of the part as We need the competition. Sad! Will not return. read more

I have to say I love this store for the selection, layout and produce. But the customer service is the worst. I keep coming here because it is so convenient to where I live and work. Most of the time I don't need anything so it's okay. But if I goto the customer service desk people walk all around me and no one acknowledges my presence for a while. This place is magical! It feels like your in a food court in Disneyland! It is like Whole Foods and Harris Teeter made a baby with Harris Teeter prices. I got and large iced mocha latte for $3.80 I believe, but a normal iced coffee is was cheaper. The coffee was amazing! My sister and I also got a sandwich and this is where it looses a star for me. The sandwich itself was great, but we both got very stale break, like crouton stale. We got different types of bread so it wasn't just the one roll. She says she has been to a Lowe's before and also had this problem. I hope they read this review and watch out for the stale bread, because other than that this place is absolutely amazing! read more
