A third update, giving them some love. I had a burger, and my husband had fried fish - we shared the HUGE salad and his fries. We both had a cocktail. It was good food and a beautiful day. I also, mid-order, wanted to change my seat for a better view, and the waitress was nothing but kind about this. We live out in Ravenel now, and don't always get over here, but we've been there 3 times now and it has always been a fun experience.

We visited for lunch and couldn't have had a better experience. Super helpful and friendly service and our meals were delicious and generously portioned. Mom had the fried green tomato caprese and I opted for the shrimp poboy. Plan to come back soon! Ok next day update. Came back with another family member. Similar great experience. We had the flounder bites appetizer and the she crab soup. Sat at bar and totally enjoyed. Awesome, friendly, responsive service.

Been coming here for 2 years now. Unbelievable beautiful setting. And terrific menu. Some of the best seafood offerings in ALL of Charleston area. And they actually improved! Had a wonderful jambalaya! Add that to a delicious flounder bites appetizer. Top notch service. Our waiter Becca was attentive, friendly and informative with absolute sincerity. She was absolutely A-1. Live music was superb. Wish I caught the name! Acoustic duet with great originals. Knew the demographics, but didn't pander. This place is a wonderful alternative to the Shem Creek zoo.

The view is amazing. Who would even know this place is here. Tucked away near the bridge. And they had good food and live music outdoors.

group of 3. All ordered fish and chips. The cod looked good but we all agreed it had no flavor. Very bland. The fries were excellent.

Then I ordered the chicken finger basket with lemon pepper rub and honey mustard sauce. We came in last night and ran into one of their cooks. He told us the kitchen was open until 11pm. We walked inside to sit down and order. The hostess, Tori, starts to seat us down and all of the sudden the bartender named Mallory, told us that we need to sit outside and eat very rudely. We don't know her nor do we know why she had an attitude with us. We saw multiple people walk inside to sit at the bar after us, so we were blown away on how we were treated. We walked outside, ordered, ate and left. We did receive excellent service from Tori for the dinner. I've never been treated that way nor should any customer. Personally I would fire anyone at my company treating customers like that, so I hope it doesn't happen again to a stranger or regular. Our friends out here used to own this bar, so not sure what's going on with management at this point.

There's so much to do here -- fantastic for a work get together or a family event... it has axe throwing and simulated golf to putting greens and interactive darts. We went on a Thursday night for Team Trivia and had an absolute blast! The drinks system is super convenient: you're given a wristband when you had over your credit card & every time you want a drink it's scans the wristband when you pour your own drinks, which adds to the laid-back and social vibe. The space is large yet cozy, and the staff couldn't be kinder or more helpful. There's even a small gift shop with fun local items to browse. Overall, The Bunker is a great mix of games, good food, and friendly people -- an awesome spot to relax, play trivia and check out all the interactive games on offer.

We had an enchanting dinner at Lola Rose and already are planning our next visit. The staff was excellent, every person there was cheerful, knowledgeable and polite. Our waiter Colby was a gem and could not have been more attentive and adorable! The food was fantastic. The dishes have strong bold flavors, everything we had was well seasoned and clearly created with care and attention. The fluffy cheese is not to be missed, I'd order it by the gallon if I could. The patatas bravas are crispy with a smoky smooth tomato sauce that is killer. My group did a bunch of different apps and split everything, tapas style, which was a lot of fun. The pizza had a great crust and very tasty toppings. The portions are a really generous size for a restaurant of this caliber and the dishes are reasonably priced. The decor is elegant without feeling pretentious - perfect for a special fancy night out or a simple night out with friends. Even the bathroom is cute! In the summer I highly recommend getting one of the frosé drinks -it's so rare to get a frozen drink that actually has complex and balanced flavors and isn't just sweet frozen ice. I loved my pina mai tai, and my friend loved her basil pink lemonade. This restaurant is being added to our must stops when we visit this area, highly encourage everyone to check it out!

I also love the interior color used, as it is warm and relaxing. We like to sit at the booth bars, as they are just 2 tops, but give an added privacy by the design. Lola Rose features a comforting and approachable menu of big, seasonal salads, wood-fired pizzas, housemade pastas, local seafood and traditional mains. At the bar, classic favorites are served alongside creative spritzes and cocktails, local beer, and a wine list that focuses on Mediterranean and coastal American winemakers. Plus Lola Rose is the second concept from James Beard award-nominated chef Kevin Johnson and his wife Susan, who opened The Grocery in downtown Charleston in 2011. We have had the pleasure of seeing him in action and he is always approachable to the guests. We have visited Lola Rose several times and enjoyed many menu items. The rosemary focaccia is always a must order. Other great starters are the arancini, Sicilian meatballs, and our favorite is the roasted beets. Another great option to start is with a pizza, they have 9 different pizzas to choose from. Then an appropriate entree would be a pasta dish, we like the rigatoni verde and the bucatini. Note their pastas are all made in house. On our most recent visit we ordered the seasonal Softshell Crab special, and it was impressive and more delicious then expected. We appreciate that they had this item during the softie season, and this tops our list. Don't forget dessert as the budino and limencello cake are delicious sweet endings. Lola Rose makes going to downtown Charleston un-necessary, and it's location is easy to get to with plenty of parking. The service and the menu make it worth the visit, and we would recommend to all.

WOW! Go!! This…read moreplace was fantastic. Top notch service free m beginning to end. Our server Justin was a star. My wife has a fish allergy and they offered to prepare a vegetable plate for her. They prepared three vegetable dishes, which were all excellent. He recommended the boulliabase which was phenomenal. I would highly recommend it to anyone. My wife also had the arugula salad, which was excellent. I started with the chicken liver pate, which is all it is claimed to be. I honestly did not think that the blue crab ravioli was anything special. In fact I could have skipped that dish and had been fine and would've had more room to finish the shrimp in the boulliabase. Desserts were outstanding. Chocolate budin (pudding) was delicious. Rice pudding was also quite nice with the fresh strawberries. The place itself was nice. Dark lighting. They did a great job of staggering seatings so you're not sitting on top of each other. Wonderful meal and night.

Accessibility-wise, it's a win: smooth roll-in entrance and an accessible bathroom that's actually usable. Service throughout the night was excellent--attentive, friendly, and professional without being overbearing. The food was stellar--easily some of the best I've ever had. One of those meals where every dish hits, and a few truly stand out. Cocktails overall were outstanding, but there was one hiccup worth noting. There's a "regular" Old Fashioned and options to "elevate," which significantly increases the price. My wife had difficulty reading the menu and relied on the server, who suggested the upgrade without clearly explaining the cost. She ended up with a $45 Old Fashioned that was noticeably smaller than my standard one--and honestly not as good. We mentioned it, but didn't get much beyond a polite acknowledgment. That said, it didn't take away from what was otherwise a fantastic night. Still an easy 5 stars--honestly, it deserves 6. Great service, exceptional food, strong accessibility, and a beautiful space. Highly recommend everyone give FIG a try.
