The chocolate-filled pastry and the pecan almond cinnamon roll were both excellent, and the coffees were tasty (though my café au lait was a bit on the smaller side). The standout was the service. The young lady working the counter was genuinely friendly, helpful, and patient as we asked questions and took our time deciding. It made the whole visit feel welcoming. Overall, although the price was a bit high for lunch and dessert, we had a pleasant experience and will definitely be back for another lunch or just to grab pastries and coffee. We were going to the pumpkin patch recently (which was great and I reviewed separately) and you can enter and exit through the store. We shopped around on our way out and found they have a bunch of local products like organic honey, catering items from Salthouse, and tone of local produce. After spending the day at the patch, we still went home with a couple bags of goodies on the way out. Nicely we said nothing, got up walked to the other area where bunches of people were sitting on benches waiting for their tables. When some got up and left, we sat down. BIG mistake according to this guy. He came out yelling. Not at any of the other people, just my family because "He already told us to leave." Mind you - this is an unmarked bench in a public easement between 2 businesses - photo in the review. 1/2 a dozen other people around us are staring and shaking their heads at the guy, obviously no longer planning to buy anything there and apparently this is a nightly occurrence! For us - I will not frequent this establishment if it were the last place on earth to sell Ice.
