Very expensive!! The baguette was excellent, one of the best I've had. Their sandwiches are decent but the potato salad was boring. The best part of this place is the seating in the common area across the street. It's such an idyllic area.

Got to this place without reading any reviews and I can't deny it food was good. This is a "to go" only place. A window on the sidewalk with a tip jar and all menus on the wall with a few tables under the oak tree. So when I see a Menu without prices I know it is going to be pricey why are more and more places don't give you a receipt and I mean an itemized receipt that will show me how much was each item. I figured each Turkey and Swiss sandwich is about 13.50 it came with a small cup of "broccoli coleslaw" but I didn't see any broccoli, they may have given me something else that had noodles, carrots, sliced almonds and sunflower seeds and it was delicious. I would go back only for the salad and the focaccia is 2die4!! I will move to My Pleasant and live off focaccia alone Got a complementary lime bar! Which was good also

Came here for a late lunch. Cute place but no inside access. You order from the outside window and they bring you your food in a paper bag. There are a few outdoor tables across the street as well as in front of the place. I had a buckeye, half a goose sandwich (roast beef and mozzarella) and a small piece of quiche. My sandwich had very little taste, I think they forgot to season the meat and everything on it. The meat was very rare and tender which was good, it just needed seasoning. I've never met a buckeye I didn't love! The quiche was ok, nothing special. The portion sizes were ridiculously small but the quality of ingredients were present, hence the four stars. My husband had a prosciutto caprese sandwich which was to die for! I'm not even a fan of prosciutto but I would go back just for this sandwich. It was on the small side like everything else. It came with a side, he picked beans, they were good but again, on the small side. He finished with a blueberry oat bar, delicious.

Sometimes you just want lunch, but other times, you want amazing lunch. If you're downtown, you have gourmet sandwiches and such practically being thrown at you. In Mt Pleasant, the options are somewhat limited and Square Onion really nails it! I often forget that there's restaurants and such in I'on and not just row after row of million dollar homes. I went ahead and bookmarked this place a while ago to remind me to check it out... so glad I did. I'll definitely be back because I wanted to order everything, but I settled on The Goose. I'm usually skeptical about ordering roast beef out and about because of the quality, but when I asked about it, they began telling me how tender the roast beef was and that it's done completely in house... Sold! The sandwich had a thick layer of rare roast beef with fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato, and balsamic vinaigrette on a lightly toasted rosemary focaccia bread. I was tempted to go with a half sandwich/half soup, but I knew I wanted the whole Goose. Plus, the sides looked too phenomenal not to try. I went with the potato salad and it was excellent with a good southern mustard flavor in there to boot. I was planning a mid-day coffee from Collective as a post lunch treat, then I saw the dessert case. That plan went out the window and a new dessert plan entered the scene. Almost every time I get desert I can't stray from whatever the chocolate option is, but I had a taste of the Lemon Daffodil that gave me the strength to do so. It was so simple yet I've never had anything like it before (probably cause I always order chocolate). It's basically crumbled up angel food cake mixed with lemon pudding and whipped cream. Come to think of it, you could definitely add chocolate into the mix on that Lemon Daffodil. For less than five bucks, it was a casserole size portion that I defeatedlly took home for later. They could easily make the desserts half the size. They have seating outside in the beautiful I'on community square and a handful of inside tables as well. It's very cozy inside, but we were the only ones there so it wasn't cramped. you can tell they put every effort into the food and all of the staff seemed genuinely excited about it. That's how you know you've got a good thing going.

After speaking to a few different caterers on the phone, Salthouse was the obvious choice because we felt like they were really invested from the beginning, we weren't just another number to them. They asked personal, in-depth questions that made us feel confident that they were the people for the job. We wanted the food at our wedding to reflect Charleston's cuisine since we had a lot of out of town guests, and several guests said it was the best fried chicken and shrimp and grits they ever had. For cocktail hour, we had a beautiful Southern antipasto spread with biscuits, pimento cheese, and all the fixings. We were blown away during the tasting and they made everything so easy. They even coordinated the rentals for our linens through Snyder, which was a huge help. They were super professional and we had a perfect wedding day thanks to them. Highly recommend them for any event!

This is the place you'll want to order from for great food and service…read more I'm so thankful to Anja and her team because they made the catering process effortless. We placed a large corporate order. They arrived punctually, set everything up which included all of the serving pieces. After the party, they picked everything up promptly. The food was delicious, flavorful and plentiful! We ordered chicken with mushrooms, vegetarian lasagne and the pork. All three were a hit with the guests. The order with a side, salad and drinks. I received compliments all evening from the guests. I would highly recommend Dish & Design and will be ordering from them going forward including for my personal parties.

Sarah was extremely helpful in promptly providing the meal options and quotes for the weekend. The prices seemed reasonable and the menu options appealed to us. He took the information provided to him back to our family reunion committee, so we could vote on whether or not to proceed. The committee voted and it was decided to proceed with Dish & Design. We decided on the menus for both nights and signed the contracts. We thought everything was finalized after signing the contracts until we were notified that the menu prices had increased for 2024. Unfortunately, we were not initially provided this information at the time we received the quotes, menu options, and contracts. We reached out to Sarah, who needed to speak with her boss, Ana, about this issue. Ana spoke with my husband and stated we would need to sign new contracts due to the menu prices increasing. He provided this information to the chairperson of our committee and she reached out to Ana directly about this issue. Ana was extremely unprofessional and unwilling to honor the initial signed contracts. She really left us uneasy about this issue and extremely unsatisfied. She even went as far as to say, Sarah was new and inexperienced and that was the reason for the mistake. As the manager, she never took ownership nor accountability for the mistake and just played the blame game. After many discussions and much reluctance from Ana, she finally agreed to honor the Sunday meal contract; however, she did not honor the contract for Saturday's meal and stated we would have to sign a new contract and pay the increased prices for that particular meal. With limited time and resources, since we are not residents of Charleston, we opted to stick with Dish & Design. While, some of the guests thought the food was decent and the service during the event was great (special thanks to Christina), it still left a less than desirable interest to ever hire them again nor recommend them for catering services. Although, everything wasn't bad, Ana's attitude and lack of professionalism is the main reason I cannot recommend Dish & Design for catering services in the Charleston area and can only rate them with 3-stars.

Frank and I are grateful to have had Chef Chris cater our wedding reception in September of 2018…read more Since we live in Virginia and were unable to fly down to Charleston for tastings, we reached out to Chef Chris based on his online reviews. Thank goodness for the reviews! They were on point. Chef Chris was extremely professional and his food was amazing. Not only did Chef Chris provide the catering, but he also was the point person for my table, chairs, and linen rental and the bar service. Having Chef Chris as the point person was a life saver, giving me a single point of contact for multiple moving parts! Our wedding reception was held at out of town and very casual yacht club. It was a bit of a schlep from Charleston (about a 40 minute drive) and didn't have a freezer. Chef Chris brought *everything* he needed, including an ingenious way to keep ice cream without a freezer on site (not sure how he did it, but I assume I would have been impressed). His staff was terrific and multiple guests said the bar service staff was also wonderful. The food was perfect! We had the low-country boil and it was AMAZING! The shrimp were HUGE and the corn was crisp, potatoes were perfect, and the sausage was bursting. We also had pulled pork on soft buns, as well as salad and green beans. No wedding cake - we went with apple cobbler. All my guests commented on the food, during and after the wedding reception. Serving large groups is always a challenge, but Chef Chris made it seamless and so flavorful! Frank and I strongly recommend booking Chef Chris! He is wonderful to work with and delivers amazing food and service. Good luck!
