We had the chance to stop at Owlbear Cafe while visiting Charleston for the weekend. As soon as we…read morewalked in we could tell that we made a good decision; the line was long and the spot looked popular. Despite the big crowd, they were able to get our Coffee and Food out quickly. As we waited, we enjoyed the soft sound of music that was dialed to the perfect volume level creating a relaxing environment to get work done and enjoy our breakfast. My Latte came out first, unlike many coffee shops, the balance between milk and espresso was flawless. To preface this reaction, I do enjoy tasting the robust flavors of the beans in a latte, and they nailed it at Owlbear. The Frothy Effervescent milk foam was immaculate; the baristas here are consumate professionals.... Now, on to the breakfast burrito. I asked the sales associate for her recommendation between the lox bagel and the breakfast burrito; she stated that the Burrito was a very popular item, so I gave that a go. I was blown away. What stood out to me was the slight hint of lime in the āhuacamōlli (hear me out) made this burrito unique and special. The spice level was not overbearing and the potatoes were perfectly cooked. To wrap things up, I highly recommend Owlbear cafe, and will be visiting again when I voyage to Charleston later this summer; one thing to keep in mind with Owlbear are the portion sizes, I wouldn't call myself a "big eater"; However I was left wanting more food as the portions are very small, almost warranting a removal of star #5

But that didn't stop us from ordering. The menu is clearly written and there's time to make a choice, at least at the time we went. We've got to other drive through coffee shops and have been rushed, or scrambled to find a QR code to see the menu - Lodi was not the case! The options are also unique and flavorful, which is something we appreciate when trying a new coffee shop. The service was great, and it was easy to find. I just imagine it being fought tough to get in and out if there's traffic.

The coffee is always great, and one thing that really stands out is their customer service. If they ever mess something up, they're quick to fix it without hesitation, which we really appreciate. It's all drive-through (no indoor space), but the line usually moves pretty fast, so you're not waiting forever. Plus, everyone working there is always so nice and friendly -- it makes the experience even better. They're also super dog-friendly. They always offer Luna a pup cup, which is such a cute touch -- we usually say no since dairy doesn't sit great on her tummy, but it's still thoughtful that they ask. Overall, great coffee, fast drive-through service, and genuinely kind staff -- we'll definitely keep coming back.

I didn't ask about the beans or the roast, just ordered a large with room at the top and didn't take my first sip until I was settled in my car. Delicious. Simple as that. Inside, the space is perfectly cute with tables big enough to spread out a laptop and get some work done. There's also outdoor seating along a sunny, covered walkway that makes it a great hangout spot. I noticed the pastries only after I was already fixing my coffee, and they looked incredible. Big, golden, and clearly made with care. The barista told me they're baked fresh on the premises every day, which tracks because they looked amazing. Next time I'll definitely stay a while and try something beyond just drip coffee. But for now, let's just say Summit has officially earned a spot in my coffee rotation.

The coffee was excellent -- rich, smooth, and full of flavor without being bitter. You can tell they care about quality in every cup. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, which made the whole experience even better. This spot is definitely a gem for anyone who appreciates great coffee and a nice atmosphere. They also have seating outside, which is covered on the sidewalk along with excellent Wi-Fi.

This store is so cute and relaxing to be in! There's a café/bar with a wide variety that isn't obnoxiously expensive and plenty of great books to choose from (and thankfully no Booktok section or ugly stickers covering gorgeous covers).
