    Not sure about this ...!

It's hard not to have a good shopping experience at this location with its well lit interior, wide aisles and well stocked shelves. As a plus, the parking lot is large and finding a spot is easy. I love the weekly specials ... seems like my favorite brands are on continuous rotation ... and BOGO offers here mean that I can buy just one for half price if I just don't need two. The employees are pleasant, helpful and accessible. My only disappointment is that they've converted the prepared foods section from 'per pound' to pre-packed. This is a lose-lose for a two person household with a 'lazy cook' who generally just doesn't need the quantities as packaged. Oh well!

This Publix Sub of the Month was so worth the wait! It's like a Cuban but with bacon and Chipotle Gouda. So very Gouda!

This Publix rules them all! I don't know if it's because Mount Pleasant demands perfection or the proximity to the beach just makes everyone cooler, but the quality of deli items, the helpful staff, and the speedy and courteous checkout process makes shopping here an absolute dream. An expensive dream, but in this case you truly do get what you pay for. I stopped in yesterday after work around 6:30pm to pick up some handmade subs for dinner, and because of the extra tourists in town for Eclipse Day, they were running out of everything. They were out of white bread and I almost got a seed-laden whole grain I didn't want when one of the sandwich-makers ran and got some loaves of fresh-baked deli bread and started turning them into subs. Improvise, adapt, overcome! You have to respect their dedication to giving you exactly what you want, no matter what. I ordered the Sub of the Month and the nice lady wasn't sure if they had discontinued it yet, but the sign was still up. She ran to the back and found the last set of fixings for said magical sub. Again, above and beyond. Most places would just say, "Sorry, we're out of that one," without even checking. I was patient and gracious as I waited, as I truly appreciated all the trouble they were going to to make my sub dream come true. They were so friendly and upbeat, even as they struggled to serve the line of hungry sub fans building up, knowing they would have to pull some new tricks out of their metaphorical hats to feed us all. They made it happen, like Jesus feeding the masses. This is only one small example of how spectacular the customer service is at this particular Publix. All Publixes are good, but this one is GREAT! Thanks for being so super, market! ETA: Kerrie in the sub section was my most helpful sandwich savior, and the wonderfully sharp woman working with her had the gumption to get the deli bread, making sure to save the bags for recordkeeping purposes. They both deserve accolades!

Jelly Belly wall! Love that you can customize your mix of flavors. $7.99 a pound.

I've been a devoted Publix shopper since moving to Charleston a few years ago, and this is one of the largest Publix stores in the area. It's not close to my home so I don't shop here as much as other stores, but I've had a good experience here when I have. The employees are nice and greet you when they see you and ask if you need any help. This Publix carries items like Halo Top Ice Cream and Jelly Belly that I haven't seen in other Publix stores. The aisles are very wide, so you're not squeezing between carts and groceries as much as some stores with smaller aisles. Plus, if you like Publix subs from the deli, there's a large seating area where you can eat your lunch inside the store.

Publix is located super close to my job. I like to pop over to pick up lunch about once or twice a week. I'm probably the only person in the world who hasn't tried their hot deli choices! I stick to the prepackaged Publix brand meals in the seafood section. I absolutely love the soy ginger salmon with rice pilaf and sugar snap peas meal. It's the perfect portion size for lunch. The produce section is my favorite. The fruit and veggies cost more than other grocery stores but worth the price. Everything is always fresh and perfect. The store is well lit, clean, and well organized. The staff is friendly. I've been going to the Publix for quite sometime and have never had an unpleasant experience.

Took a few managers, but they found me some Summer Shandy! Best customer service!

One time I was looking for Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy but it seemed to be out of stock...3 managers walked by the beer aisle and tried to help find it in the back. No luck. THEN, as I was in the fruit department one of the managers came up with a 6 pack and said, "I heard you're looking for these!" What? They found the beer, found me, and made my day. Also recently I was getting a 6" sub for lunch...while picking out my little bottle of peach tea to go with it, an employee came over to recommend I buy the half gallon instead because it was Buy One Get One and therefore rang up cheaper than the little bottle. Right on! Publix has the best customer service!!

The lighting is bright; every inch is well utilized with many aisles and cases filled with food, glorious food (and of course, your usual grocery items). They have lovely flowers, sushi, cheese, wines, and many freshly smoked and other beautifully prepared proteins and sides all ready for delicious meals. Many fresh deli salads and entrees to take and bake. Rows of fresh produce and many fresh squeezed juices. Meats, chicken and fish looked fresh and called my name. The bakery was loaded with fresh breads, cookies, cakes and pies ... slices, too. I did not check out the standard grocery aisles due to the crowds ... but, I'll be back.
