It has taken me awhile to get over to this store but glad I finally did and hope to get it in my semi regular rotation! The Little Big Meals cannot be beat. I don't consider Fresh Market the place to shop for all of your groceries but they are fantastic at helping with dinner planning and the produce is usually beautiful. Great boutique grocery right in the middle of Mount Pleasant. Plenty of parking and wide aisles for easy navigation. Tons of prepared foods, half price sushi on Thursdays, and some really nice wines. So glad this store has been added to our list of options in Mt P. Self service or very friendly cashiers available. Low lighting so not as supermarket feeling as a Publix or Harris Teeter. read more

I've been watching and waiting for this store to open for the better part of two years and it did not disappoint! Employees, everywhere, with smiles, abound. The lighting is bright; every inch is well utilized with many aisles and cases filled with food, glorious food (and of course, your usual grocery items). They have lovely flowers, sushi, cheese, wines, and many freshly smoked and other beautifully prepared proteins and sides all ready for delicious meals. Many fresh deli salads and entrees to take and bake. Rows of fresh produce and many fresh squeezed juices. Meats, chicken and fish looked fresh and called my name. The bakery was loaded with fresh breads, cookies, cakes and pies ... slices, too. I did not check out the standard grocery aisles due to the crowds ... but, I'll be back. They have a loyalty program that you'll want to check out. Hurry! read more

The Fresh Market just opened yesterday and you can tell because the place was absolutely packed with people. It is located next to Dick's Sporting Goods and Nordstrom Rack in the Bowman Rd area Strip Mall. There is lots and lots of parking just outside the door. The store itself is gorgeous with beautiful butchers & seafood counters. They have a wide variety of breads and freshly baked goods along with cakes, freshly made pizzas and hot dinners to take home. They also have a huge selection of salads, ready made, along with a great variety of cheeses, ideal for charcuterie plates, along with various cold cuts. The store is very well laid out, it's easy to find stuff that you're looking for. There is also an enormous selection of beers, wines champagne to hit every palate. The Fresh Market reminds me a lot of Whole Foods. It will be interesting to see how it fares in comparison. They have a lot of staff who are eager to help & get you in and out fast. It's a lovely supermarket. You should check it out. read more

Fresh market is a great addition to mt pleasant. Fresh large meat, produce abd seafood. It has a variety of organic and natural foods. Watch for their weekly specials like little big meal - they also have day of the week specials for sushi, pizza, hour meals. The grand opening was festive - but the samples they promoted turned out to be just coffee, salsa and grapes. read more

This is the last time I'm stepping foot in this parking lot of this awful awful store it's almost as if the owner said to himself you know what fuck it. I'm gonna order a bunch of frozen food and a fucking microwave and people that have zero Restaurant experience and then on top of it, I'm gonna charge a lot of money for poor quality and shrink inflation where I get very little product for the amount that's paying on top of bad quality and frozen food. That's reheated in a fucking microwave. To the owner, buy a fucking clue if you can, but you'll never see my money in your store again ever ever ever read more

I shop this store weekly and the service is generally good. Today I walked up and down the aisle 5 times looking for an item with no employee help. There were 2 employees stocking the aisle. A white customer walked into the aisle and they both ran to assist this customer with no recognition or help to me a minority customer. I had to ask a passing employee for help and she was very helpful. I guess minorities are invisible to stock help. read more

We were so excited to visit The Fresh Market this past Sunday! I only wished we could have made it to opening day for 20% off our purchase. The Sunday Meal deal is one of our favorites. Delicious rotisserie chicken with 2 sides and cornbread for less than $20. I also love their cotton candy grapes, produce, fish selection and chocolate covered almonds. The Fresh Market has always been my go to supermarket when living in MA, so I was excited to hear that they were finally opening a location in Mount Pleasant. I missed the grand opening during the week, but stopped in today for the Sunday Meal deal and some chocolate covered gummies. You can't beat $15.99 for a rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes, lemon orzo and corn bread. Delicious! The store was very clean, but busy as expected. Great prepared foods and I always find something tasty in the bakery. Please open a Johns Island or Kiawah location next. read more

There is nothing fresh about this market. If you look at most of the ingredients of the products they carry, they include artificial flavors, high fruit, corn syrup, and the worst GMO. All the pre-done baked goods, mostly had artificial flavors and colors.. people don't be dumb just because it says fresh market does not mean there's anything fresh inside the market and it does not mean that their products are healthy. Make sure you read all ingredients before buying anything here because you could be paying 25% more and not getting any extra value. The service at the deli counter. I was simply ignored. I tried for 5 minutes to get the attention of 3 employees who were too busy talking to each other. Almost every thing I have bought here I've thrown away. It may look good but no taste. read more

It is a beautiful store, but I went in to get a coffee, walk around and check out the new store....there were flies all over the coffee grinder/espresso machine! I counted eight of them! Eeewww! Then they were out of sleeves for the hot cup....not impressed. read more

Rotisserie chicken was overcooked, wrinkled and unappetizing. Maybe even a few days old? The buffet of hot foods equally overcooked; ribs were burnt and black crusted, beef brisket was tough and server couldn't even slice it. Hard to imagine eating anything there. The three stars are for the chicken salad. I caution you get the prepackaged ones, unless you want to stand in an unorganized fashion near their counter. I hope for your sake, you aren't a woman under 5'7 or they'll continuously skip you and ask the humans that they can see over-the-counter. Ignoring the overly priced items, the biggest train wreck is the checkout process. Not one self check out. This morning at 11 AM on a Friday I witnessed roughly 40 patrons shopping throughout the store or in line. There were two registers open. The rest was a ghost town. On one register, you can see THREE different associates helping one customer with a bottle of salad dressing. The other at a snails pace, was checking out the rest of us. All I bought was three avocados and chicken salad in a tub. It was $25 and took almost 20 minutes to get in and out. Although I literally live across the street, I don't think I'll go back. Normally, I would think it's just me, but I overheard multiple people joking around and saying shopping here requires patience, and they dont even sell it. Food for thought. read more

The service at the seafood, bakery and deli is the worst I have ever experienced in any grocery store. You are completely ignored!!!! They see you but don't even approach the counter to ask if they can help you. They are all too busy talking to each other or doing nothing! I went on Tuesday to order a pizza. The employee saw me standing there for 7 minutes and never approached me . Finally another person came over and I shouted can I order a pizza? She looked at me and said oh I'm sorry I thought you were already being helped and she looked at the other employee who was ignoring me...I said no I'm not being helped I have been completely ignored! You need to fire everyone at the bakery and deli....they are not there to work ! I don't know who manages this store but they need to get out on the floor and see the way customers are treated. This is not an isolated incident ...something like this happens every time I shop there either to me or other customers. I have gone up to Pawleys Island Fresh Market for 10 years before Mt Pleasant got one. I will go back there to shop.....your manager could learn a lot from the way that store is run. Friendly, efficient and helpful employees...none of which are employed in the Mount Pleasant store. read more
