Since the conversion from Piggly Wiggly to Harris Teeter not much has changed in this store except maybe the signage, store brand foods, and floor being swept. It looks exactly as it did when it was the Pig. The layout was the same, the same rude employees still there (not all are rude, but a few). I was hoping that after the conversion that I was going to walk into a store that had been renovated to be more like a Teeter; but it just didn't feel like a Teeter. Although I'm not too big of a fan right now, it does appear they may still be making improvements. One thing I noticed was they are bringing back the growler selection to this store.

Nice Harris Teeter and friendly and fast service. I like the variety of beers they have, especially the local ones.

Lots of variety and local goods. We stopped while on a short vacation and found what we were looking for. Clean and well organized.

The grocery selection has increased since it converted from Piggly Wiggly a few years ago, and the cashiers are always very nice.

I knew that I didn't have an option. But I talked to Google and I discovered Opie Drive-Thru Grocery. I was able to place an order and my husband went to Mount Pleasant (1 hour and 7 minutes away from Santee) to pick up the groceries. I prepared our Christmas dinner and it was possible because of Opie Drive-Thru Grocery. Placing the food order was a snap and although there were some items that weren't available, I had those staples in my pantry and fridge. My husband said that picking up our items was a great experience as the young man who assisted him was very friendly and professional. All I can say is that Opie Drive-Thru Grocery saved my Christmas dinner. We could have been eating ham sandwiches and potato chips but instead we dined on homemade lasagna and a garden salad. For a first, this was an awesome experience. Drive-Thru groceries. What a grand concept!

We will definitely be back the next time we're in Mount Pleasant.

We just relocated to this lovely area from Florida. I learned today that Publix is quite different…read morehere than in Florida. While still in the midst of opening what seems like a thousand moving boxes, I decided to stop by , check things out and buy a few things that normally aren't in my kitchen. Childhood favorites mostly. Now I will cut to the chase. Whoever monitors and/or stocks this store's bread aisle needs some serious counseling. I'm normally a fanatic about looking at expiration dates although Publix has never let me down and I was in a bit of a hurry to avoid rush hour. I bought hot dog buns and slider buns. I got home and pan fried those dogs, opened the buns and have never been so disgusted in my life. EVERY SINGLE one was covered in mold.,Yes, a picture is coming. But I was hungry so I thought I'll just cut the dogs in half and use the slider buns. Good gracious, they were hard as rocks. Looked at the use by date and it said April 8, it was April 11. So the dogs were done and I was out of luck. Then I remember the tortillas I brought with me from my Publix in Florida. So I made it work. This will certainly never be my grocery store. Even when I went to check out, there was no one in the open lines. Finally someone showed up. And of course no one offered to help me with my groceries. I usually refuse, but my back had a little issue after lifting all those boxes. I made do. No, I did not go back to the store for a refund.,I just want that bread aisle individual to get some training. I am concerned that if they allow this with the bread, what about the meats and produce?

The produce, meats, and seafood areas always showcase great items. Very good wine and beer selections - not as aggressively priced as Total Wine, but they'll occasionally have a good deal. The bakery and deli are also really good - their handmade sub sandwiches are a hidden gem. Order online for pickup! Customer service is always good and if you ever have a problem, they'll refund or exchange without hassle.

The lighting is bright; every inch is well utilized with many aisles and cases filled with food, glorious food (and of course, your usual grocery items). They have lovely flowers, sushi, cheese, wines, and many freshly smoked and other beautifully prepared proteins and sides all ready for delicious meals. Many fresh deli salads and entrees to take and bake. Rows of fresh produce and many fresh squeezed juices. Meats, chicken and fish looked fresh and called my name. The bakery was loaded with fresh breads, cookies, cakes and pies ... slices, too. I did not check out the standard grocery aisles due to the crowds ... but, I'll be back. The store itself is gorgeous with beautiful butchers & seafood counters. They have a wide variety of breads and freshly baked goods along with cakes, freshly made pizzas and hot dinners to take home. They also have a huge selection of salads, ready made, along with a great variety of cheeses, ideal for charcuterie plates, along with various cold cuts. The store is very well laid out, it's easy to find stuff that you're looking for. There is also an enormous selection of beers, wines champagne to hit every palate. The Fresh Market reminds me a lot of Whole Foods. It will be interesting to see how it fares in comparison. They have a lot of staff who are eager to help & get you in and out fast. It's a lovely supermarket. You should check it out.
