As for Tracy Mazda's sales team: Alfonso is fantastic! He put no pressure on us, and he bent over backwards to show us other options we were considering. I came in with pre-arranged financing, but the finance manager (Charles, I think) at Tracy Mazda was able to get us an incredible interest rate. Went in to test drive a Mazda 3. I test drove it, but the salesman did not go with me. I had questions about the car, but I had to try to remember them all when I got back, but instead of the salesman talking to me, he handed me off to the internet salesman, Joe. I told Joe what I wanted, and he became very pushy in trying to get me to buy a car that was already on the lot and kept going on and on about how they would have to go "far away" to get what I wanted. When it came to negotiating, they were not willing to negotiate at all, so I left and headed to Mazda of Stockton, where I got exactly what I wanted without any hassles. read more

This review is only about the service department. My car was not bought at Tracy Mazda. I took my '09 Mazda 6 to Tracy Mazda today for the 90,000 mile major service. We only brought it to the dealership because we are getting ready to sell it and it looks better on the service record. Every time we have brought it here for service they have "recommended" services that are supposedly needed immediately and they are ready to order the parts and give us the bill. However, we always have had a separate trusted mechanic look at the issue and no problem is found. 1st time they recommended the cabin air filter be changed (for over $200) and stated that it cost so much because "it is labor intensive" and they had to "take the dashboard apart to get to it." We watched a 3 minute YouTube video and was able to change it ourselves (you only need to take the glove box off its hinges), and the filter was only about $20, and to top it off when we pulled it out, it didn't even look dirty. The 2nd time we went in we were told the brake pads were at dangerous levels and needed to be replaced immediately, but when we had them checked out separately there was actually 5mm left on the pad (which is ok by Mazda's own checklist). Today, it was recommended that the tie rods (part of steering/tire system) be replaced immediately - we were given one explanation on the phone when they called to say the car was ready, then the paperwork read something different, and then it was explained a third way. It added up to them wanting to charge us $329 to fix this "problem." However, we had the tires balance and rotated and an alignment 2 weeks ago and everything in this area, including the tie rods, checked out in good condition at the tire shop. Sorry but I just don't buy it that in 2 weeks they went from good condition to needs immediate replacement. Plus what happened to showing customer appreciation? I had a $400 service done, it took 4 hours, and then they charged me an additional $5 for a new battery in my key when I asked about it. Really, you couldn't throw that in as a courtesy? I guess I should just feel lucky they didn't charge me labor cost to put the battery in the key. And how much do you have to spend to get a free car wash? Every time I have been there, I see cars coming out of the service area having been washed, but my car is always returned dusty. I guess my expectations are too high. But they need to realize customers have a choice, and this will be the last time I choose Tracy Mazda. read more

Had a good experience at Tracy Mazda! First of all ( did not agree on price ) so I didn't buy the vehicle but my experience was very different from other dealership, it was actually very good. First person I came across was ( Donna ) good smile and friendly but actually I was looking for Kristie DeBenedetti it must of been her day off. Next person ( Ham Yaqubi ) a salesman that made me and my dad feel right at home and very attentive to our needs by offering us something to drink we settle for water. That's when the fun begins we sat down with this gentleman and I was completely at ease with this person ( no pressure no tricks no cockiness ) just a complete all around "GREAT" person and salesmen or salesperson which ever you prefer. Did not take long before I was test driving the vehicle with a very knowledgeable individual that knew what he was talking about and with good knowledge of the vehicle that I wanted to BUY. And even though I didn't come to an agreement on price I would like to thank Tracy Mazda and especially Ham Yaqubi for showing me that the impression I had of a bad salesman or dealership was nowhere to be found at this place they call " TRACY MAZDA ". This dealership fits the stereotype of a bad dealership to a T: dishonest, manipulative, and rude. Dealerships like this are why that stereotype exists in the first place. On their pricing sheet, the numbers didn't add up. When we inquired about it, they disappeared into a back room for 20 minutes. Finally, 3 guys came back to explain why the numbers didn't add up - except they never actually said why. They simply said they couldn't show us why, because it was on 3 different computer screens. When we got upset and asked them to explain what these fees were, they raised their voices at us and still failed to explain. So we left. Go to Capitol Mazda instead. They did everything on the computer right in front of us. The part that Tracy said was on 3 different computer screens - at Capitol Mazda, it was in one spreadsheet on one screen. Capitol Mazda also showed us what those fees were and explained them to us in about 20 seconds. read more

Great dealership, great staff. Alfonso and the manager there got me hooked up with a great deal on my second CX-9. If you have a big family the Mazda CX-9 is the best car on the market, hands down; we bought one 3 years ago and can't find anything to beat it, so when it came time to buy a new second vehicle, we decided to add another one to our driveway. Tracy Mazda seems to get some really interesting inventory, and after keeping an eye out we finally pulled the trigger today and picked up a great one. Service dept is great; friendly and fast. Sales guys are no pressure and take good care of their customers. I'll drive anywhere for a good deal but Tracy Mazda saved me the trip. read more

BUT, having said that I would recommend them and would shop there again. My salesman Zack was GREAT! Nice young man and very helpful. Also the financing portion was better than any car I have ever bought and I have purchased at least 10 cars in my life. His name was Mr. Amin and he had my paperwork done in about 15 minutes. This is the worst dealership that I know. I was there to make a deal and was serious about that. I asked a discount and told them I don't buy it if they don't give me that discount. The sales person told me ok and started to talking about financing stuff but after that told me that we can't accept your desired price. Again I wanted to leave but he told me to stay and asked me to gave him my social number. I told him that let's talk about the price I might finance it somewhere else and give him cash but he still asked me my SSN and told me without SSN they can't talk about the price. The only thing that I can think it's they wanted to run my credit and after that I almost had to make a deal with them. Also I called general manager and left a voice message but he didn't replied. Update: It goes worse and worse. I talked with their Internet Sales Manager and he told me he didn't go to negotiation about the price with me because he didn't want to waste his time with me. I was interested in a used car that I saw on their website. The internet sales coordinator replied and eventually I came in to test drive the car(s). There were two that I was interested in and after driving both I was able to eliminate one of the cars. The gentleman who assisted me was informative, friendly and low key. This weekend I returned to see about buying the car. The appraisal on my trade was fair. They claimed that the price on their car was already discounted. I was actually OK with what they were offering and was very close to saying yes. The red flag was the payment quote. I knew that it was significantly packed. I also have top tier credit and qualify for a very low interest rate. I also knew in my head that if the car cost is x and the trade is y and the down payment is r that the monthly should be roughly s. They kept quoting super high payments that defied logic. read more

I would like to start this review by saying that if I could rate this more than five stars, I absolutely would. As soon as I stepped on to the mazda lot not even a minute passed before I was greeted very nicely and asked what I could be helped with. The car sales clerk that I was greeted by was christy, she quickly found what I was looking for and made sure I was provided with the opportunity to take my time on each of the individual cars I was shown by her to make sure I wasn't choosing something in a rushed manner. After she helped me choose the perfect car for me we stepped inside the dealership and I was quickly offered an array of hot and cold beverages so that I would be comfortable and let me tell you, the French vanilla really hit the spot! After sitting and discussing what I could and couldn't afford in paying for the car, her and the rest of the team did not stop until we reached a price point we could both agree on and I could not be more happy with what I received. I paid them a visit to just look around and I ended up going home in my dream car. If you are looking for a new or used vehicle don't buy before giving Tracy Mazda a shot! Let me start off by saying I am a tough customer to please being that I sold cars myself for 5 years. I hold very high expectations because I know what it takes to please a customer and Kristie was on point! My wife and I were looking to upgrade to a larger vehicle with a child on the way and began shopping back in December. Let me tell you, once a sales person knows you are that far out they want to wipe their hands of you and move on but not Kristie, she answered all of our questions on a cold rainy day and even offered a test drive knowing we had no intention of buying that day. This was one of the reasons I came back to her 3 months later when we were ready to make a move. Negotiations were very smooth. There were no high tensions, I didn't have to sit and wait for 10 different deal screens each with a lower payment after being told the last was the best they could do. I stated where I needed to be and they gave me a fair trade value and a great price to get me within dollars of my budget.
