Great staff who are always willing to go out of their way for me to find items, help me get them out and loaded into vehicle. There were some issues re some canned cat food and another item that was not available, but they got it straightened out by changing suppliers, and haven't run out since. Always complimenting my Mt. Airy TSC crew down in South Central Tennessee where the company is based. If you have an issue, talk to the folks and express your concerns and follow-up. read more

I called to inquire about a tree that showed they had one in stock in Mount Airy Tractor Supply. Jackie verified that the tree was in stock however, it wasn't very healthy and offered me a 25% discount. I drove 50 miles to purchase the tree. Jackie wasn't working when I arrived. I explained the 25% discount to Valerie. Manager Valerie refused to honor the 25% discount. I informed Valerie I would get with Jackie when she came in shortly. Valerie stated, "no need as I'm her boss." As a manager, Valerie was very unprofessional and rude with no customer service skills. read more

I cannot wait until the New Market, MD TSC opens so I do not have to deal with the Mount Airy location. An employee (Jackie) has been rude to us in the past. A few months ago I came into Mount Airy TSC. My item was not in stock as indicated online. Jackie refused to look in the back to see if the item came in and told me to go to Walmart. I had to go 20 miles to the Frederick store because of this. Today, I got a notice saying that my online order was ready for pickup. I went to get it at the Mount Airy store and the cashier was very busy. I told her that I was here for a online order. She was checking out customers while Jackie was having a conversation with a friend 4 feet away. The cashier called for help several times but Jackie did nothing. After 3 calls for assistance the cashier verbally asked Jackie to help. What a RUDE person. Because she had to cut her conversation short to do her job, she had an ATTITUDE with me. THIS IS NOT HOW CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULD WORK. This woman has for the second time, made my trip to this TSC HORRIBLE. The cashier even asked me to complain to corporate about her. I will start by saying that the Tractor Supply in Westminster, MD and the one in Poolesville MD are awesome. The one that I am reviewing with one star is the Mount Airy, MD Tractor Supply. I would give them zero stars if possible. I lived in Boyds for many years and drove to Poolesville, MD to avoid going to the Mount Airy store. Not sure what the problem is but the staff is generally rude and not helpful. I called last Sunday, September 22 and was told they had plenty of stall mats but the best way to make sure I got the three I needed was to place an online order (I only called this store because I had bought all the ones the Westminster store had in stock). I immediately did so, received a text message that the order was ready and went to pick it up on Monday, September 23. When I got there, I was told they only had two mats. I asked why and was casually told someone came that morning and bought 25. I complained to the person that told me this and two managers. Not one person apologized for the fact that I drove 45 minutes to pick up an online order that was confirmed ready for pickup when they sold my merchandise out from under me. I was told I had to go back into the store and request a refund. The clerk could not manage to do the refund and had to call a manager. The manager said I could not put the refund back on the credit card (WHY???) and I was told I could get a gift card. I declined and was finally given cash. From leaving my house to getting back home, I wasted over two hours of my time and did not end up with my merchandise. Had other problems with this store but don't want to waste any more of my time to elaborate. I love Tractor Supply but not sure what is wrong with the store in Mount Airy. read more

To be fair, I've only had one experience with this store. And I only started shopping at TSC recently. And it's COVID. And it's the holidays. FWIW, I'm actually starting to wonder if all TSC's have major management issues. Their centrealized phone customer support is great, but dealing with the individual stores can be a mess. Check my other reviews once I get them up. Here's what happened at the Mt Airy location. I put in an order for a trailer based on online inventory showing it in stock. Store then cancelled it, but didn't give me any reason why. When I called the store I just got a ring, no one picked up, no VM. Nothing. Anyway, they lost that potential business right away. To be fair, they aren't the only chain that has problems with online inventory matching reality (e.g., Dick's). But that I couldn't even call and talked to a local person or leave a message seemed weird. I just went to another TSC to get my trailer (two actually...long story in other reviews. This Mt Airy location is closest to me. Might still stop in to see what it's like in-person. read more

After several visits, a debatable 3-stars. Most of the employees have NO idea what they are talking about. Maybe I was expecting too much, but generally I have to find everything on my own and can't ask any questions or I end up more lost. "Can you tell me where the chicken bedding is?" should not be an overcomplicated question for the person standing at "Customer Service." read more

All around great customer service at the Mt. Airy location. Both Peggy and the GM Ryan care about their customers and it shows. I live closer to another TSC but drive here because I prefer to give this store my business. read more

This rating pertains to the feed manager. I have bought rabbit feed from this store for over 10 years and never had a problem when Marty was the feed manager. I have been struggling for MONTHS trying to get Manna Pro Sho rabbit feed and they only have it about 25% of the time. I tried EVERYTHING and was finally told my feed would be available from now on. Well I went today and big surprise. ..no feed! They just lost a 10+ year customer, but I'm quite sure they could care less! read more

we buy all our dog food there. We like the prices and the people that work there have always been very friendly and helpful.
