Great ambience. Wide variety of food options. The have pizza on Sundays. Firepit outside with couches. We visited on a Saturday around 2pm. It wasn't super busy, about half full. The inside bar is beautiful. Bathrooms are nice but dark & was difficult for my 92yr old grandmother to access & use independently. (Terrible for low vision & reaching items.) Didn't see a handicap accessible bathroom. The staff was nice. We did have to hunt them down to pay our check, but otherwise, food & drink were tasty. read more

Wife and I had dinner at Trackside Diner in Paris, Kentucky. This old L&N train station is a gem of a place. They have 3 dining rooms. The Winchester Room for private parties, The entry dining room which is full of paned windows and the dining room adjacent to the bar area. We chose the entry dining room full of windows. It was cold that night but the decorative open fireplaces made the room cozy. We had a friendly server and she knew her menu well. I selected the Hot Brown . It came with a side salad and I enjoyed the homemade thousand island dressing. The hot brown was stacked high with turkey and country ham on Texas toast. It was loaded with mornay sauce and meted cheese. It had enough to make every bite cheesy. The wife had a classic cheeseburger with cheddar. It was dressed out with lettuce, onion and tomato. The fries came with it were hot and fresh. The train motif is throughout the entire place, even the clean bathrooms. There are a set of dual railroad tracks outside the windowed dining room. It was my first trip there without any trains going by. It is decorated for Christmas. You should try and go before the holidays end read more

If she was new she needs more training. If she has worked there a while she needs an attitude adjustment. Was like pulling teeth to get refills and when we did she snatched the cups and copped and attitude. Went missing when it was time to leave. Didn't know how to work her device and paying took FOREVER. ONLY ADDED GRATUITY TO MY CHECK!!! Asked twice where the lady who left went (I already paid for her meal ) Brought the wrong dessert Had no knowledge of the menu and couldn't answer a simple question. Most definitely the food was amazing. It didn't make it to a photo shoot lol. Fried chicken livers were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The mashed potatoes were real not instant and the gravy was great on them and the livers. But most importantly the serve that was outstanding and prompt. Came here to try something new. The place was super cute we sat next to the railroad tracks. Our server was amazing she was very sweet. Honestly though for the price of the food it's not worth it. The presentation on the apps were cute but my meal looked sad. The Pimento cheese was the best thing I ate it was amazing, pretzel bites were just too greasy, and my salmon was way too overcooked. The potato wasn't bad but thats hard to mess up. That salmon did not live up to its expectation though. read more

The Trackside is a wonderful dining experience in Paris. The building is historic and adorned with accoutrements from Paris' past. The menu is nice, with a variety sure to suit anyone's tastes. From light fare to full meals all of the offerings are tempting. I personally have had the chicken liver dinner with cornbread, mashed potatoes and gravy and their awesome green beans. The portions are generous and the prices are fair. My meal was approximately $12-$14 and worth every penny. The service is prompt and friendly, there's a nice dining room, outdoor seating if you wish and a welcoming bar as well. read more

Food was good, service was good. was there with my Handicapped father-in-law , mother-in-law, sister-in-law who all live in Kentucky. Upon leaving, saw a large black truck was parked so close I could not get in. The gentleman came out and proceeded to tell me I was parked in a handicap spot (even though the spot was not marked. My sister-in-law was parked in the only parked handicap spot for my father-in-law.) we had an altercation with him. He proceeded to tell us he's here every day and we need to go back from wherever we're from. (3 of our party of 5 are from Kentucky) he bullied us until he got in his truck and left. Only he pulled up on the little street behind us, and waited for us to leave. Not knowing if he would follow my in-laws we waited too. After my sister-in-law pulled out of the only handicap spot, he pulled his truck in the handicap spot. His whole tyrant rant was about not having the 1 handicap spot. Outdoor sitting/dining area, bar & benches w/ pillows, throws & two large fire pits, unique dining tables, brick oven for pizza. Great spot to watch the train go by. Always festively decorated & lovely floral arrangements. One year anniversary this month. Opened now Tues-Sat 11a-11p for lunch & dinner. Pet friendly w/ organic doggie treats, leashes for sale & water bowls outside. Sunday all day brunch from 11a-8p. Follow on FB for the Daily Lunch & Dinner specials printed daily as not all of my food pix are on the regular menu. We usually order from the specials. Lots of cute shirts, ornaments, Blanton Bourbon candles for sale. Farm to Fork, locally bought ham, grits, steak, no pizza in the winter, but when they do it is excellent. The Hawaiian Pizza is our fav. The specials are delicious & wish were always on the menu such as the Shrimp Ceviche. I'm not a fan of shrimp, but would eat it daily. Perogies w/ Thai sauce, Shrimp & Pork Pot Stickers, Tomato Soup & Grilled Cheese, Fried Green Tomatoes w/ honey mustard great way to start. Or a crisp Wedge full or side salad w/ blue cheese & a side of balsamic glaze. We love the Minestrone soup which is meaty & full of flavor. The chowders are also our fav. The pasta specials such as the Shrimp Scampi, Ham & Peas over fettuccine, Creamy Chicken, asparagus & mushroom pasta & the Spaghetti all savory & good. Chicken Salad Sandwich w/ fries another fav. The fries are tasty & always fried perfect, never greasy. Rib Eye & Prime Rib excellent if you're looking for a steak. Sunday we love the Eggs Benedict w/ homemade sausage, cheese grit cake (my fav) w/ a side of ham. We stopped for lunch after our tour of Claiborne Farm. What a great little place! The guys all had the Kentucky Hot Browns and loved it. The Dagwood Club was huge with big chunks of Turkey, think slices of bacon and great tasting ham. Reasonable prices. Our server was really fun and very attentive. Well worth the 20 minute drive from Georgetown to eat at Paris' hidden gem on a Saturday afternoon. First off, It is great to go to a restaurant and set in the bar area and be able to carry on a conversation!! We did not have to talk(yell) over the noise of a TV or radio. Thank you!!! Variety of appetizers to choose from. We startes with the wings in Buffalo sauce with blue cheese dressing. The were very good, and piping hot! Minimal breading and a lot of sauce!! Just how we like them!! Entrees were large portions and served to order. My wife ordered the blackened salmon. She said it was very good and would order it again. I ordered the Trackside salad with honey mustard. Very good! Lastly, Our server was Leandra and she was spectacular!! Extremely attentive and there to help. Being our first time at Trackside, she shared what she liked and what the "fan favorites" were. Even talked me into getting an order of chicken livers to go! This is our 2nd trip to Trackside. My wife's 50th birthday is coming up. We chose here so our family could gather to celebrate. Under new ownership, it's setup is for 90% of the seating to be outside on the loading dock of the old depot. They have 2 gas fire pits on the deck, which is enclosed with a plastic curtain. It was really comfortable on a mid December evening. I can't imagine another place with such pleasant temps for outside eating. read more

We had a great lunch this afternoon. We were promptly seated and waited on. We sat outdoors on the covered patio. We ordered the pimento cheese and vegetable appetizer. Our party had three meals, the grilled chicken tender sandwich with fries, the chicken salad sandwich with a side of fries and the patty melt with fries. All of the food was excellent.
