I was waiting for strawberry season to have Jerry's famous Strawberry Pie. I LOVE pie! This was actually a tart, a good sized one at that. On my way into Paris, I picked it up to go and sat at Secretariat Park on Main Street to eat it. It was not lost on me that it is Belmont day, Secretariat's Triple Crown triumph. Tried Jerry's recently -- overall, it was decent. My burger was actually really good, and the fries and chips were fine. The other sandwiches at our table were definitely the standout and everyone seemed to really enjoy theirs. Big win of the night: the chocolate cake at the end.... we all dug in and it was hands down the best part of the meal. One small note: I know it's a diner vibe, but the furniture/seating could really use some updating. It wasn't the most comfortable and took away from the experience a bit. I stopped in for lunch around 1 on a Friday afternoon. The place was busy, but I got my order taken right away and got my meal in a timely manner. I had a J-boy plate with fries and slaw. This is the last Jerry's restaurant and it is in Paris Kentucky. I had the cheese burger and onion rings. It was just like I remembered growing up and eating at the one in Corbin . The restaurant was pretty busy and that is always a good sign. I had the hot fudge cake for desert and it was delicious. The service was really good at the restaurant. read more

This place is awful! The JBoy bun crumbled like a cracker it was so hard. The burger was barely warm and 2 measly strands of shredded lettuce. The onion rings were very very hard. The ham and cheese croissant has an uncooked runny egg on it. The croissant was ice cold. The strawberry pie has "whipped cream" on it. It's definitely pretty looking cool whip that runs the pie. The crust was dry and old. Do yourself a favor and get a burger in a gas station. This isn't not a good meal at all. The service was mediocre at best. Met me brother there the Friday before Thanksgiving. Great burger (bacon cheeseburger with beer cheese). Onion rings were too over cooked for me, but not horrible. The cole slaw was exactly as I remembered Jerry's cole slaw, which means it was excellent. We each had a chocolate shake for desert. Very scenic drive from Lexington with lots of horse farms, and great fall colors this time of year. If you have fond memories of eating at Jerry's, prepare for a trip down memory lane. Had heard that this was the only surviving Jerry's in KY, so I had to visit. I had many a J-Boy when I was in HS and college, so I ordered 3 of them to go. They are similar to, but different than Big Boys. I remember when they were 55 cents, now they are $6.99 58 years later, which is about like everything else. The food was disappointing. We had lunch there. My husband ordered the patty melt, which was horribly dry. I wanted the chef salad. We drove over 20 miles one way because I remembered how good their chef salads used to be. We asked that our appetizers come first but the chef salad came out first. I just moved into town but I already have an old friend in Paris. Jerry's! Jerry's restaurant was a staple in my routine in my growing up years in other parts of Kentucky, but sadly they have all but disappeared. Imagine my joy when I arrived in Paris and discovered Jerry's is one of the busiest restaurants in town. I've eaten there at least a dozen times in the past month and I have enjoyed every visit. The food is just as good as I remembered it, the service is fast and friendly. There are several other restaurants in town and many fast food options, but Jerry's is on the top of my list in Paris, Kentucky! read more

If you enjoy BLAND over cooked food that has no flavor, this is your go to place. Not worth the hype it got on our local tv news, as a go-to place. We are at Jerry's on a busy Friday evening, but we were seated quickly. The service was prompt and our food came out quickly. My wife and I both had their North Atlantic Cod which comes as 4 thick filets. The fish was flaky and very good and my onion rings were better than most places but a little on the greasy side. The broccoli "casserole" was just cheese and broccoli, no cracker topping. Hush puppies are good although small. My boyfriend and I visit Jerry's on a semi regular basis. It's a half hour drive for us but worth it in my opinion. When you enter be prepared to wear yourself. The menu is very reasonably priced and has lots of options including everything from salads to country fried steak. Two people can eat here for under $20 which is great if you're on a budget. The desserts are also all under $4.00 so you can indulge your sweet tooth as well. read more

I grew up eating at a Jerry's a lot. . .then one day, they were all gone. Our local one turned into a Denny's, but it just wasn't the same, or as good, as the Jerry's. I'd had visiting the last Jerry's standing as one of my "one of these days" things for a long time, so I went there with a Groupon in hand looking to enjoy a visit back to a favorite of my childhood. I fondly remember beef tips and noodles being my favorite meal at my local Jerry's as a kid, but apparently they didn't have that on the menu, so instead I had the J-Boy with fries, figuring I'd have their most iconic meal for my sample of the place. I would have given it 3 stars as a solid, decent eatery much like Frisch's or Denny's, but what knocked the rating down was what happened towards the end of the meal. I needed to get up and use the restroom, and when I came back after only a couple of minutes I see the busboy clearing my table. My plate had my half-eaten meal and mostly-full soda right there being dumped in the bus tray. I tried politely telling him, as he was picking up my plate, that I had just gone to the restroom. The busboy ignores me as he dumps my food plate in his tray and when I reiterate that I wasn't done, he gets a confused look as he asks if I want a to-go drink. I try to explain to him that I wasn't done eating, I just went to the restroom for a couple of minutes. The busboy just shrugs and starts to ignore me and carry off his bussing tray with my now-discarded dinner, as my waitress starts to get very apologetic and says that the busboy does this all the time and if I want she can get me another burger and fries. I wasn't really willing to wait and was rather frustrated by the whole experience, so I declined. The manager came out to comp my meal, which was appreciated (and salvaged this from being a one-star review), but from what the waitress said this happens a lot, which indicates they really don't do much about the busboy tossing out people's dinners mid-meal other than comp the dinner. So, it would be 3 stars, but I'll have to knock it down to 2 for the bad service. A word of caution, don't leave your table unattended when eating there or the busboy will clear it before you can get back from the restroom. read more

I came here because I bought a groupon and Jerry's used to be in Nashville when I was Kid. I loved the shish-ka-bob back then and OH the Fudge Cake was too die for. Well, I was excited to see the groupon offer for Lexington. We went there for a weekend excursion. We had dinner on a Friday Evening. We got there early (5pm} and it was a good thing because we got a seat and then there was a line out the door. Evidently, Jerry's is still popular. Our meal was great, but I must say a little disappointed there was no shish-ka-bob. We split a fudge cake and they just weren't as big as I remember.....but hey I am bigger so it is probably just as well. Enjoyed the food and visiting your city. read more

If you ever ate at a Jerry's in the 20th century, this place with take you back. The Italian style spaghetti was exactly like it was in the 1980s, when I first tried it as a child. They updated the dining area and added a few items of their own but it's still the great Jerry's experience that I remember as a child. I very highly recommend this place. While visiting the Ark, we come in with a group of about 20. Some being children ranging from 1 to 11 yrs old. Even with an overwhelming large group and the place already busy, the staff accommodated us all and with a very pleasant attitude. Now on to the food which come out in a very reasonable time was awesome. Temperature, taste, and perfect amount. This store is not at all conveniently located for me; it's about a twenty mile drive from my front door and I never have any other reason to go to Paris, KY. Still, whenever I am eligible to purchase a Groupon, I'll buy as many as possible and bring my family, too. Groupon notwithstanding, I'm pretty sure they still make a tidy profit off our visit each time. Why such devotion? I LOVE their cole slaw!! I know, right? Twenty miles for cole slaw!! Not sure I can make that make perfect sense. I like the rest of their menu, but this affection for Jerrico brand cole slaw dates from my youth in the 1960's and, no, I don't believe it's exactly the same recipe as 40-50 years ago, but it's still pretty darn good. Stopped in to get a carryout order for my family since I did not feel like cookie that day! It was worth it. I got a great deal on their Groupon so I used it for my purchase that night. We had a variety from burgers to fish and shrimp (which was on special that night). Everthing was hot and fresh and was enjoyed with no disappointments in any way. It looks like it used to be a Shoney's years ago, but I'm not sure. The decor is 1960's but not necessarily intentional. It's an old town favorite with a menu full of homemade meals. They have the meat and 2 or 3 vegetables specials each day. Most of the salad dressings are homemade so don't expect French dressing to taste like the normal French. It tasted like ketchup. I had to send it back and ask which dressing tasted "normal". Other than that the meat and vegetables were good with a price take of about $10. Don't expect to be slam full when you leave. I did not see a buffet there. Looked like everything was ordered from the menu. I was passing through this town and asked for a good place to eat and this was recommended. I would go there again. I tried them out for the first time tonight. I gave them a 2 because the server was friendly. I was under the impression this was a home cooking style of restaurant. I ordered a country fried chicken that was way too small for the 10$ they charge, the gravy was from powder. My side's were broccoli casserole, which was pretty much steamed broccoli and what I'm think was some type of cheese wiz or canned cheese product, and "buttery" potatoes, which were obviously canned potatoes. Old time family restaurant since 1961. Saltiest pork tenderloin I ever had and corn pudding was overcooked. Onion rings were really good and coleslaw pretty decent. Cornbread was tasty and service very good. Ambience just too bright. Couldn't give anything better than three stars because I just couldn't eat the pork. read more
