Very cute spot for a no-frills breakfast. The waitresses are all so nice & on top of the coffee refills. My partner did not want an omelet so they made her a scramble with all of the same ingredients -- great service.

Decor is adorable, small place, but wonderful!

I can't find any reason to take a star away, even being cash only didn't offend me because they have an ATM and the fee isn't even insane! Parking across the street (by a sweet little park), it's a small place but the decor is great. ATM, register and kitchen to the immediate left, restroom straight back (large, single seater, very clean) and a handful of tables. They were able to seat us right away, despite being 6 adults and a baby. The menu was pretty standard issue, but they had a few interesting omelette options. My husband said his Meat Lovers omelette had the perfect ratios of all the meats. The portions were generous and our coffee cups were never more than half empty. Everything is clearly made there, we watched them take out rolls!! The waitresses (and patrons!) were so nice and friendly! The cost was reasonable too! I can't get over what a little gem TP's is. We'll definitely be back.

This place was recommended to us for a great lunch spot so we stopped in, and we were certainly not disappointed! This is your classic small town diner, just like the places I'd eat in while growing up. They serve a lunch and breakfast menu all day. My father went with a breakfast item, and he was raving about the pancakes he ate. I had the reuben sandwich, and it was one of the better ones I've had recently. They make a reuben as they're supposed to be made, with the perfect proportions of meat, dressing, and kraut. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. A huge family group came in while were there because it was raining outside, and they did everything possible to get them all seated together in the back without acting like it was a hassle at all. The last thing I'll add is that the prices were great and I would absolutely recommend TP's to anyone on a day trip or passing through the area.

This restaurant was locally recommended while passing thru. Good clean restaurant. Good food and service. Omlets were good to go !

I love this cafe! We've been here twice so far, and it has become a place I depend on to fuel us up before a ride on the Catskill Scenic Trail. We have ordered sandwiches both times and both times they were delicious! Sandwiches come with chips and a dill pickle. This last time I ordered lemonade, and Oh My Gosh--it was freshly squeezed with real lemon pulp. So delicious. It hit the spot. I'm impressed with the inside decor as it is cheerful without being overbearing. I can't wait for the pandemic health precautions to ease, and we can enjoy a full meal inside! There is outside dining on the porch but it was already full when I arrived. Last time I bought chocolate chip cookies that are stacked by the cashier. They were perfect! I took them home and made ice cream sandwiches with them. The service is fast for take-out, and they used this last time compostable clam shells instead of environmental nightmare-Styrofoam. So that was impressive also. At the time of this review, the cafe does not accept cards, although there is an ATM inside the cafe that charges $2.50 to take out money. Checks are also welcome. I'd like to emphasize the convenience of this cafe as it is situated directly off the Catskill Scenic Trail. A side trail up a large bluff leads you to the public parking lot behind the cafe on Main Street. You won't have to go far if you need food and a break from your adventures. Truly a welcome a pit stop for trail users. As I said, this cafe is literally a bright spot that serves up quality, no non-sense delicious food. I'm looking forward to our next bicycle ride in Stamford so that I can explore more of their menu.

The best pancakes around and when you ask for crisp bacon, you get it perfectly cooked.

The exterior is misleading & easy to pass by if you're not in the know - don't let it fool you! Breakfast is only served on weekends between 8 AM & 1 PM & we just happened to be there. Service was extra warm & welcoming - we had our pup with us & it was a not so great weekend weather wise & while we offered to order & sit outside at a table as to not disrupt other diners, they managed to put us in their back room so no one had to eat out in the cold (Pepper can't write her own review, but she says thank you, two paws up!) While the menu is small, one item is better than the next & you can't go wrong no matter what you choose! Prices are reasonable for everything you get & in today's economy, it's a rare find! The apple pancakes were to die for & honestly, the biggest pancakes I've ever seen! Fresh biscuits with maple butter (YUM!) Don't pass up on the extra creamy & delicious chocolate milk! Seriously - can I get an IV drip of that? This place is the embodiment of farm to table (obviously). Zero frills, but full authenticity of a working farm. Wonderful place & wonderful people. They have lots of their goods for sale too, so you can take Buck Hill Farm home with you! We bought their delicious bourbon maple syrup, fresh herbal tea, hot sauce, & took some ribs back to the house to grill for Father's Day! Plenty of full & happy bellies even after leaving the farm. After breakfast, swing by the chicken coop & thank the ladies for the delicious eggs! LOL We hope to visit again next time we are in the area!

Unfortunately, the food left us feeling ripped off. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap (but received the chicken bacon wrap instead). Not a big deal though- I was hungry, food took a while to come out so didn't want to wait for it to be rectified, and I was able to just pick out the bacon. My wrap had 2 pieces of frozen chicken tenders in it. This was really sad, considering it was $17. My husband had one of the skillets, which also clearly included some frozen food (i.e. the potatoes). We made the best of it, but definitely hope the food situation improves here. I wouldn't not recommend, especially if you're in a pinch, and given the limited options on the area. Also a nice place to come for a beer! They have outdoor seating as well.

I ordered the chicken sandwich special. It was decent. Not amazing. But good enough. Best part was that she thought she was waiting for us to pay, but we hadn't even asked for the bill. We were waiting to order the dessert she gave us the menu for. When she brought out the dessert she looked at the one I ordered and legit said "I don't know what this is...." That one sentence was the way the whole meal could be described. But overall a fun experience because of the company that we kept.

4&1/2..Vibes for days...It's hard to imagine one not being smitten by this picture perfect,…read morebeautifully restored vintage turn of the century set-piece worthy little all-day cafe, smack in the middle of what was a strong contender for the most postcard/storybook perfect little upstate town I visited in my recent treks trough the region this past fall. I've heard this little village has had among the most intense glow-ups of the post covid boom in the region and it sure shows. What was once a typically sleepy and stagnant, though still undeniably charming downtown common to the area when I last came through some 20-plus years ago now has all the hallmarks of an upscale, bespoke Brooklyn-north outpost, and this place is a perfect representation, though thankfully one that accentuates a positive example of such development that can serve and be appreciated by both the recent transplants as well as the longtime locals. This is thanks most crucially to the prices remaining happily reasonable and accessible to median income in the area, as opposed to raising prices to typical Brooklyn levels (like at the previously panned Phoenicia Diner). This is likely due to the fact that this place actually was established in the last decade, when, while the Brooklynification of the Catskills was certainly well under way, it had not yet been turbocharged to its insane post Covid levels. Food quality however was uniformly excellent, to the point that it would be a beloved neighborhood asset most any of us would love to have in our own hood. Everything I sampled on my lunch there, selected with the help of the thoughtful suggestions of my excellent server, tasted exceedingly fresh and clean, no doubt owing to the bounty of wonderful local ingredients from which the kitchen procures from. Each dish displayed some delightfully retro 90s era influences from the thick and creamy corn chowder, tasting brilliantly of peak late summer corn, to a bright and briny orzo salad, and the star of the meal, the unctuous, savory, perfectly seasoned umami bomb of a meatloaf pressed panini with the squishy pillowy meatloaf melding topped with gooey smokey provolone contrasted brilliantly with the crusty craggily pressed bread. It was a contender for best thing I had upstate and rivals any burger I had in 2025. Was a deeply satisfying lunch that left be deliciously satiated for my drive out of town through the glorious rolling Catskill Hills dreaming of a future opportunity for another visit.
