Had to take a dash up north to pay our property taxes before the year ended; we hardly never eat out for breakfast in fact in the 40 years of coming up here to the country my Grandparents would consider eating out an insult ... Crazy Italians !!!! We arrived over here in this cute Lil old school luncheonette around 9:45am to find it moderately busy; we were greeted with a friendly smile (our waitress was wearing a mask ) but I'm sure she was smiling... very polite ... Very clean, old style table & chairs just what you expect when your in Gods Country .... I had three eggs over easy, corn beef hash, home fries & bacon with a toasted buttered everything bagel; everything was delicious & super fresh; coffee also was on point !!! The wife had a bacon & cheese omelette with home fries & also a toasted everything bagel. Also enjoyed her meal ... The kid; went with the Raisin French Toast with a side of bacon; she also really enjoyed her meal as well !!! Our waitress kept filling out coffee never had to ask for a refill which was very nice ... Their portions are excellent and their prices are very reasonable...... This is the typical greasy spoon hometown diner which serves up the standard breakfast (served all day) and lunch fare. The patrons here are mostly a mix of locals and college students. I've eaten at the Delhi Diner several times while I was attending college nearby. The layout of the place consists of a long lunch counter with stool seating and several tables lined up along the walls. The grill, deep fryer and food prep area is out in the open behind the lunch counter. The breakfast menu offerings include egg dishes, 3 egg omelettes, pancakes, French toast, Belgian waffles, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast sides, and Maxwell House Coffee. The lunch menu includes plenty of grilled items like burgers and hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, baskets (chicken tenders & fried shrimp), salads, desserts (pies, cakes, cookies, ice cream), and Pepsi fountain drinks. Daily specials are also offered. The prices are very reasonable, most menu items $4-$7 range. After many years, I finally stopped in at Delhi Diner for lunch very recently. The place was very busy and I sat myself at an open table in the back of the diner. I immediately ordered the Grilled Philly Cheese Steak ($5.50) served with potato chips and pickle. The food was delivered to my table in about 10 minutes with the waitress doing the "drop and run," not bad since the place was very busy. The Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich was very greasy. The grilled bread slices were very buttery, sandwiched with tender thin shaved steak grilled onions, green peppers, & mushrooms, and melted cheese. The sandwich was very fattening, but tasted very good! The rippled potato chips were salty and generic. The service was very hectic with two waitresses rushing out orders nonstop. I thought my waitress forgot about me since she kept passing by my table without looking wihen I was all set. I did wait almost 10 minutes for my check (the waitress met me up at the register to cash out). I would definitely return to Delhi Diner for the solid diner food whenever I'm passing through this small college town again. (3.5 stars) read more

Gross wash your hands and clean under your short fingernails Came in just for coffee to kill time before an appointment there was only a few people ordering food and I can understand why as I sat and watched what was going on the line cook only cooked one meal at a time and even served the servers their breakfast before the diner guest as she licked her dirty uncleaned fingers she would go back and take orders and serve the line cook would bare hand grab raw bacon and then your toast again no hands being washed he would reach over the counter to grab sliver wear to help himself cook food was being microwaved then he would leave and a server would start cooking then she would finish taking her tables and a new guy comes out he was the only one that was using gloves and would change his gloves ( tattoo young guy ) I can understand being really busy and not having time to use gloves but when your touching raw product and then plating cooked food I would think Hey cross-contamination read more

My kids and I went to the Delhi Diner the other afternoon for lunch. We had salads and one had the waffle with fruit. The food was good but with COVID surging in Delaware County, the chef and his assistant were walking around the restaurant without a mask, interacting with customers. I told them as we left that it was offputting. Would not go back there during the pandemic which will last until the end of summer 2021. read more

Nice town diner. Simple basic menu. Food was fresh and tasty. If your hungry it will do the job. Coffee was not my husbands favorite but that fine, he got his fancy coffee across the street at the fancy cafe. Service was friendly and pretty quick. We'll be back. read more

Had breakfast there this morning, was a little skeptical at first but loved the "homey" vibe it had to it. Was small inside but the waitress and staff were eager to help and it was great! Everyone there seemed to love their job and be happy to help their customers. Once the food came I was delighted to see such great food. I ordered 2 eggs scrambled, home fries and a side of bacon (with white toast too.). I ate with a friend and the total came out to be like $20 without tip! Amazing prices, amazing staff, amazing food, and an amazing experience. Will definitely be eating here again! read more

Every time I come upstate I try and get here. I can only comment on the breakfast portion of the menu and everything I have tried has been awesome. We love the eggs and waffles, they usually have specials for the day which are all great. The prices on everything are more than reasonable and the service here is also really good. My favorite thing is the bacon egg and cheese on peasant bread which is essentially a grilled cheese with eggs and bacon. So delicious. read more

Great small-town diner! I've been there for breakfast many times and the sausage gravy over biscuits kicks ass! The prices are very reasonable, the service is good and one of the waitresses is pretty sexy (added bonus). You can't go wrong if you're looking for comfort-food breakfast of brunch. read more

Wow no other way to describe it, we came here on our last day of our mini vacay and decided to do something local before we headed back to Long Island and I'm glad we did. So from the outside it def didn't look like a diner but like they say don't judge a book by its cover cause when we went in we were greeted very warmly which is always very important cause it tells a customer a lot and that your not just another customer, they sat us down took our order and within 10min all of our meals 3 adults and 3 kids were out and delicious, couldn't be happier for the food and the hospitality.....Def recommend the corn-beef hash!! read more

This is THE BEST Indian food around...period! I love Indian food and when I heard about this relatively new restaurant, I couldn't wait to give it a try. Our first visit was for dinner and from the moment we walked in it felt warm, inviting, family oriented and definitely not pretentious. The owner, Subash, greeted us immediately with a warm smile and sat us at one of the side tables. Not wanting to try something too exotic on our first visit (and to give me the chance to compare their food to other Indian restaurants we've patronized) I ordered standard fare...chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, basmati rice and garlic naan. We were asked how spicy we liked our food and, for the first time EVER, our food came exactly the way we wanted it. My wife, who's not a huge spicy fan, loved everything. It was hot, fresh, plentiful and absolutely delicious! For dessert Subash brought us "Gajar Halwa" (I had to look up their menu on-line to remember what it was called), a fabulous warm shredded carrot dish that tasted like pudding. The perfect dish to end our meal. The service at this new Indian restaurant was absolutely superb (and I'm not even a relative) and every piece of our dining experience was outstanding. I felt like we got exceptionally good value for the money we spent and we will go back often. Every small town has their local diner. I grew up here in Delhi and going to the diner is one of my favorite childhood memories. The breakfast is always phenomenal and the staff even better. Every morning it is packed with the regulars who come to get their coffee and grub, and have a friendly chat with the counter staff. The food is prepared right behind the counter on the flat top grill so you can watch the grill master work his magic, and even converse with him. Lou, the owner, is a perfectionist so his staff must be of high caliber or they won't last long. One of the better diners I've eaten at that's for sure :) read more
