This is a wonderful restaurant in tiny Fleischmanns, NY. Super hip, yet elegant vibe for such a…read moresmall town filled with so many vacant, derelict buildings. Excellent food and friendly staff. Filled with locals who all seem to know each other. My girlfriend and I spent two nights in a B&B just a block away, and we stopped in on a Saturday night. It was packed, and the only space was at the large communal table in the middle of the room. Our food took 40 minutes to come out, but the waitstaff was incredibly apologetic and offered to comp a round of drinks, and we were in no rush just enjoying the atmosphere, so no worries there. We had a flatbread with arugula and prosciutto and pasta with grilled chicken. Both were incredible. My girlfriend has spent a lot of time in Italy and has laughably high standards when it comes to pasta, and she wouldn't stop raving about how good her penne was. There was a corner filled with musical instruments, so it looks like they host live music as well, though not while we were there. Overall this is a great restaurant in a rural area that is worth driving to if needed.

Sorry, not impressed. We went when the Mountain Jam Kick Off Party was advertised…read moreNo reservations meant we sat out back. The only thing charming out back was the creek. There were two servers out back, but we barely got service. We liked the sauce on the meatball, but the meat itself was disappointing. We ordered the prosciutto and parm flatbread. Balsamic glaze was on the flatbread instead of the listed oil and lemon, making the dish dry and too sweet. We and the party at the next table were questioning our bill because the pricing for the drink and food specials was incorrect. Our server went inside to check, but came back with no clarification. I had high hopes and left feeling annoyed

I would like to go back but they have so few options it's not fun or interesting. Yes the food is good. I wish I could get the "full" menu at the bar. I like the fact that you see food you don't see anywhere else up here and it is quality and well prepared. What really bothers us is that you must order everything up front. This is really unacceptable. My wife and I like to order appetizers with appropriate wine and then see which way we are going. Yes I understand it's easier on the kitchen but comm on: you only have three entrees!!!!! The bartending couple that work there are knowledgeable and professional. The wine is not kept behind the bar bit strangely kept on a table outside the kitchen. Really awkward. That being said we would like to go back but will not due to the aforementioned reasons. It's a shame this place could be great.

We tried the prefixe menu and added on bread and tuna compote which were not a part of the prefixe. The bread was great and the tuna compote was lacking - I feel like it was just two crackers with tuna overpriced. The whiskey business was my favorite drink- it reminded me of the secret menu item, whiskey business from dear Irving, an amazing bar in nyc. They had interesting wines and they didn't have any open bottles for us to try so when we did buy a bottle it was much said that we would need to pay for it even if it would be bad so we just bought the bottle without having an option to try. Usually in fine dining restaurants you'd be able to try it regardless and see if you want the whole bottle. Prefixe time A few of us ordered the Wagyu steak and the Amish chicken (recommended by the staff). The only pescatarian who was also the birthday girl got the fish! The fish wasn't bad but had bones and was cold. One of our friends also had a cold chicken dish when mine was hot. We had a very interesting mix of temperatures going on as there was only one chef that night so some of our food turned out really cold which we did not expect. We brought it up to the waiter but nothing was done after we mentioned it so I feel like this definitely is not fine dining at all. We ended up heating up our Amish chicken over the candle and I feel like nobody really paid attention or cared that the food was cold. The Wagyu steak was over salted but I definitely think the Amish chicken was the best thing we got but it was not like worth the price point we paid. We also ordered dessert and I think that part tasted pretty good. Overall it's just ok. I feel like they could do better on service and their food temperatures. Their cocktails are great!

Daytime Hollow is all light through the big windows, happy grown humans, beasts, kids sometimes. Daytime is for morning beverages and baked deliciousness and sandwiches I think later. I haven't tried the food after noon, Just the morning fare. And it's splendid. So many pretty people. I favor the darker Hollow, it's like the woods with owls about. And. Appropriately, I believe, I favor the Black Manhattan, for all the same reasons. Cozy, maybe a half dozen ish tables and as many bar seats. Maybe seven bar seats. My mind's eye is fuzzy. Enough to populate the forest but in a campfire kind of way. Those seeing to your food and drink are attentive, friendly, know many of the folks inside but not me. As I am furtive. The menu changes often and each and every dish I've sampled has been delicious. Price point is very reasonable for what's presented. It's a date night, an evening w friends, by yourself with a book (what's a book), all are welcome, all are comfortable. A speakeasy without a secret word, woods with friendly owls, off a dark but inviting street in what's an ever evolving Delhi downtown. Go.

Let me cut to the chase and say this was the most amazing food at the evening happy hour. Potatoes, fried and duck fat with a great seasoning, a mushroom dish, just the most flavorful and intense delicious bites ever. Several dishes just became a dinner of appetizers. Ambience was very pleasant. Great example of a Gastro pub dining. Friendly locals and a diverse crowd as well as servers. I loved it.
