Daytime hollow and nighttime hollow, the latter almost with a speakeasy quality. There should be a closed door off that darkened street for Hollow Noir, with a little sliding window through which you whisper who sent you. Daytime Hollow is all light through the big windows, happy grown humans, beasts, kids sometimes. Daytime is for morning beverages and baked deliciousness and sandwiches I think later. I haven't tried the food after noon, Just the morning fare. And it's splendid. So many pretty people. I favor the darker Hollow, it's like the woods with owls about. And. Appropriately, I believe, I favor the Black Manhattan, for all the same reasons. Cozy, maybe a half dozen ish tables and as many bar seats. Maybe seven bar seats. My mind's eye is fuzzy. Enough to populate the forest but in a campfire kind of way. Those seeing to your food and drink are attentive, friendly, know many of the folks inside but not me. As I am furtive. The menu changes often and each and every dish I've sampled has been delicious. Price point is very reasonable for what's presented. It's a date night, an evening w friends, by yourself with a book (what's a book), all are welcome, all are comfortable. I was visiting a friend that just moved to Delhi. I had two weeks of great food from Delhi and Andes New York. Let me cut to the chase and say this was the most amazing food at the evening happy hour. Potatoes, fried and duck fat with a great seasoning, a mushroom dish, just the most flavorful and intense delicious bites ever. Several dishes just became a dinner of appetizers. Ambience was very pleasant. Great example of a Gastro pub dining. Friendly locals and a diverse crowd as well as servers. I loved it. read more

It's like just wow. I use ketchup on anything to do with eggs. So when I say that putting ketchup on their breakfast sandwiches would be sacrilege, trust me I mean it. The bun was a light fluffy bread and the eggs were creamy. I think it had scallions in it too. She got the bacon and I go the sausage. These sandwiches were really different. I can't think of another place I'd compare it to. We also got the carrot cake which wasn't too sweet. It had a cream on top that I've only ever had one other place. It's a Lebanese place in Philly. It paired really nicely with the carrot cake. Wasn't what I was expecting at all. I also got a white flat which was really good. These aren't popular in my area so I didn't actually know what I was ordering. Glad I got it though. It's not a sit and order joint. You order and then seat yourself in close quarters. Which makes it comforting that you have to show proof of vaxxx. There was also a couple there having a loud conversation that could've literally been ripped from a script of Portlandia. The fella had recently cleaned of a table and not that it had be "liberated" of the clutter he could realize it's full potential. I could see that being a turn off but I found it amusing. YES. Finally a cool spot with both great food and cocktails. We started with the duck fat potatoes (don't miss out on these), shishitos (loved the aioli), and pimiento cheese (another to not miss and they accommodated us with gluten free crackers which was awesome). I had the roast pork sandwich and my husband had the braised short rib. The braised greens and hot peppers were the perfect balance to the marinated pork. Spicy, fresh, and left me feeling super satiated but not weighed down. New favorite sandwich. The pot de creme is what dreams are made of. The tartness of the creme fraiche is the perfect pairing with the bittersweet chocolate. It's a small bowl but great for sharing. Really decadent and another not to miss item. My biggest question is why no one ever told me about RANCH WATER before last night. Make sure to get this if you're also a tequila lover! read more

Such a great addition to the Catskills. Amazing cocktails, I'm addicted to their Manhattan. And the food is bonkers. That pork sandwich, the burrata, the cornbread, it's all super tasty. Been a few times since opening, and have met interesting folks at the bar each time. So you get top notch big city quality food, drink, and decor but with country prices and friendliness. I went for the first time tonight after not realizing there was a new bar in town. I'm local but frequent the night life for what it is in town. I was surprised to hear that there was a new location opened without me hearing anything about it. The interior was beautiful but the sign on the exterior would have never caught my attention. I understood the abstract art side of it, but would have never recognized it as a bar/restaurant upon seeing it. The pimento cheese grilled cheese sandwich was OK, although it has the consistency of velveta with a smoky flavor on white bread. I wished there was another option for breads. Our beers had head which the bartender didn't top off so we ended up with 3/4 of a beer. I will chalk up the experience to a new opening and will try it again soon. read more

Finally had an opportunity to try their coffee this week. Divine!!! The first day a co-worker brought me a Cortado. Coincidentally we had spent some time in the Keys over the summer where Cortados are the beverage of choice, especially amongst the large Cuban community. Absolutely amazing! Today I had a Flat White which I got hooked on while in NZ a few years ago. Even more amazing! Who needs Manhattan or W. Hollywood when you have Hollow! Can't wait until the bar reopens. What Jake and Eden have brought to town with Hollow is a wonderful edition to the food and drink scene felt for miles around in this big, beautiful western Catskills country. In need of a good mixed drink I ordered the Manhattan which was bold but delightful and came with a few nice soaked cherries. The smoked trout dip was very tasty and smooth on the palette with its fresh herbs and crème fraîche (was perfect on Wilson's bread). We also tried the Beef and Leek soup which reminded me of my great grandmothers stew (everything you want in a warming bowl of beef broth and vegetables) with an extra kick which I was happy about. Our two year old loved the tender beef from the stew and couldn't get enough of the trout dip. Very happy. Thank you all. Oh and the way everything is packaged is a nice touch :) read more

This place hits a lot of notes that were missing in Delhi and nearby towns and it's so appreciated. The cocktails are good, but I think the food is the star: I love the duck fat potatoes and have ordered them multiple times in just the last two weeks, the pork rillettes were great and my mom literally can't stop talking about corn bread. The grilled cheese is the only thing I've had that wasn't as good as I hoped it would be. They still need to work out some service kinks, but I'm optimistic they will as they find their feet. read more

I would love to give this place five stars. The food and drink are amazing. The quality of food is exceptional. Braised short rib sandwich was cooked perfectly. The drinks are made very well and the price is reasonable for the quality. However the service was a little slow understandable for two people working, I give the owners a huge applause for doing it though! Definitely worth the wait!! read more

A great addition to Delhi and the region. Located off Main Street through a simple side door you step into a dark but inviting well designed space. A small bar and a few tables make for an intimate (sometimes crowded) dining and drinking environment. The cocktails look delicious, everyone seems to enjoy them, the local beers and a refreshing wine list offer a fine selection of pairings with the menu items but all work well on their own if tippling away an afternoon. I have enjoyed the duck fat potatoes, shishitos, pork rillettes and burrata. All freshly prepared with careful presentation, all silence inducingly good. The braised mushroom and braised short rib were enjoyed as plates but looked even better when sent out as a sandwich. The Pot de Creme...order two or three...and don't share them...eat them all yourself. The bar is my favorite for eating...it does get a little overbusy as the table diners come up to place their orders. A server to take table orders and leave a number at the table would smooth that out a bit. The eternally smiling and polite Eden, the owner, bartender, mixologist, order taker/entry, server, cashier,etc....must be thoroughly exhausted at night's end.
