The place was really cool, had some nice features to it like the really cool dungeon near the bathrooms down stairs.

It rained and the mud was ankle/knee deep, almost throughout the entire course. The bathrooms (portable potties) were a wreck. I'm just hoping what we're were walking through, was actually mud. The entire place smelled like sewage. It was difficult to eat anything there after our race and driving home was terrible. We were all caked with mud. Last year was much better but you can't really mess with mother nature. She's gonna do what she's gonna do.

Well, I must say this was very groovy…read more You enter a vibe! My eyes were open soooo wide to it all! The 60's were very visual! The music was sooo different! I had to see the location of the most famous concert in the whole world of all times . "Woodstock!" I was looking for the road marker in the big stone that overlooks the valley of where all those people filled the field (and when it became so packed and people just stopped their cars and got out and walked to as close as they could to the venue. The view is iconic and it is a delight ! I'm happy to see the road side marker and the big stone marker ! They have since built a great outdoor concert stage with partial covering closest to the stage. So if you ever want to come for a concert, you have that going for you. And it looks like today there was another event there that had nothing to do with music. It was sports, but even still folks enjoyed their day and then joined me at the Woodstock Museum. MUSEUM. So I wish I had more time to spend here. Because I would wanna maximize my $22.. Very sweet people welcoming at the front desk reception. There is a wonderful museum . Learn all about the beginning of the 1960s and see how much it changed by 1969. Then they guide you through 1969 which was exceeding compact with so many significant events . The baby boomer experience! You can enjoy sitting in many nooks watching a screen showing old news footage telling about life then! IT really gets you in the mindset of that time. DISPLAYS of artifacts from the concert and the business side of it as well as the advertising, then LOGISTICS trying to find out which field they can use. And then showtime! THE FASHION'S. It was my first time to ever see "" love beads" it was cool seeing all the clothes and jewelry! They had a booth that had just an area for you to hear people who were there share their memories of that weekend! It was nice to be in the museum with older people, and seeing how they were having this big smile on their face hearing all these old songs and reminiscing of their youth! There was also a docent that was an actual Woodstock participant/concert goer . So you could really ask questions to people who know! There is A BREAKDOWN OF EVERY ARTIST EVERY SONG. They're a little Knox where you can really take time to spend in the areas of your interest. I really wanted to google some of these songs and try to understand the story being told & try to understand the poetry. There is a HUGE THEATER WHERE YOU CAN WATCH A BIG PRODUCTION OF THAT WEEKEND!! Very exciting! I think you wanna make time for this also. GIFTSHOP IT was a very nice gift shop!!! It was very thrilling. I could see how music fans could really get their whole uniform of iconic rock 'n' roll garb! I felt that they were prices were fair. I was delighted to get some guitar pics with the iconic Woodstock logo, and also some cute postcards. Again the service was absolutely wonderful here. Lots of kind staff. I'm very glad I decided to explore the grounds more and visit this museum. It was worth it DOWNSTAIRS (There is an elevator .) ((which is where the bathroom is)) there were also fine photos on the walls and in addition another room that had things that they found on the property . Even though it was 1969 it is a historical artifact!! CAFE: They had a café... But I didn't go to it. But it's good to know they had it in case I needed it. I'm happy to learn more intensely of the peace, love and rock 'n' roll movement of this demographic of our fine country. I couldn't help but compare the similarities and differences between them and now. Thanks for this very special time for all the people who worked hard putting it all together. I enjoyed my time.

A straight drive out route 28 west. Signage on Rt 28 for the venue could be better. Parking - again very easy. Small venue so no parking nightmares. Getting in and out with no drama. Ticketing - computer was down when we got there. Technology issues happen. Food - BBQ stand was disappointing on several levels. More a grill than BBQ..hamburger, chicken breast, etc. Nothing special. Chicken sandwich was served on a bun with no lettuce, tomato, etc. They were incredibly unorganized and it showed. They had problems taking orders, giving them to cooks, no system for identifying who ordered what. I could have lied about what I ordered and paid for, and they would have believed me. They were stressed and some barked at customers. on several occasions they yelled at people for crossing to the side of the table which wasn't roped off. And the only garbage pail by BBQ was in that area. Concert - Intimate feeling. Venue so small that there aren't really any bad seats. Sound was clear and strong. Orchestra supporting the band was a nice touch. Really added depth to some songs - ex. Bohemian Rhapsody. Brought me back thirty years. I would definitely go back again. I would suggest bringing a sweatshirt as the temperatures do drop a bit at night and you are outside, though tented. unless you have lawn seats, in which case you are totally outside and should also bring a blanket and folding chair.

We called ahead about a reservation, and the person on the phone couldn't have been nicer, fitting us in on short notice without a hitch. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the kind of place where you can settle in and enjoy your meal. Our waitress, Isabella, was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The food didn't disappoint either--my husband ordered the cowboy steak, and I had the chicken saltimbocca, and both were excellent. If you're in the area and looking for a reliable, enjoyable meal, this is definitely a place worth stopping into.

I sat at the bar, because there are never service issues there. Nice big bar. Decor right out of the 70s/80s, just like I expected. Had a bourbon, a beer, and a ribeye. The steak was very good, much better than I expected, and came just as I ordered, medium. I also ordered broccoli rabe because I just didn't really believe they had it. It was never brought out, and no mention was made - but it didn't show up on my bill. Left a fat tip and walked out happy. Recommend.

If you are in Woodstock, you MUST stop here and see a show. It may possibly change your life. Well, the Ramble and I made that birthday great. It's an amazing show in an amazing venue. They call it The Barn for a reason. All wood everywhere, it's an intimate show with seats all around, above and behind the stage. Apparently Levon designed and acoustically engineered the space himself, and it shows; the sound quality is phenomenal in here. I think any act would sound good in here, but the Ramble blew my mind. The musicianship is incredible. You'll watch people swap guitars for keyboards for drums and show startling prowess on all of them. They brought in all sorts of friends including Graham Lesh and Twisted Pine (the excellent opening act), and literally everyone could play, and sing, and just rock. With some of Levon's family in the band, you'll hear them play his music with real feeling and emotion, and watch them have a great time doing it. I can't recommend this show enough, and I would certainly come back to the venue as well. Be aware that they don't sell drinks and food, which isn't the worst thing in the world because you could pour half a bottle of vodka into into a water bottle with some powdered grape kool-aid because that's all you had on hand, and have a great time. In theory, I mean.
