It feels like aren't many options when in a sleepy catskill town like Walton. But if you go a few miles out, you will find this gem. It was poppin all night long w tables coming and going and a bar filled. We got the perfect time going around 6 and got a table for five immediately. All the food was carefully curated and not your run of the mill, generic Sysco brand. Everything we had was amazing and delicious, and with the prices being very reasonable- we fully enjoyed ourselves. One thing I did notice was the lack of service. The servers were bustling about but didn't check on our table enough. We all had one drink and had they checked in more we all would have had seconds and maybe a third. That's the only light complaint bc otherwise everything was pristine and cozy. read more

Hamden Inn is a boutique inn with warmth! I was very lucky to choose Hamden Inn on this trip. It really felt like I had found a quiet corner away from the hustle and bustle. The room was clean and tidy, and the layout was very tasteful. It had a warm and retro atmosphere, which made people relax as soon as they entered the door. The owner (or the front desk) was very enthusiastic and recommended several great restaurants and attractions nearby. It felt like living in a friend's house. The bed was very comfortable, the sheets and towels were of high quality, and even the fragrance made people feel at ease. The breakfast was simple but exquisite, and the food was carefully prepared. The location is also very good, the surroundings are quiet but not remote, and it is very convenient to drive to nearby natural attractions and towns. Cleanliness: 5/5 Service attitude: 5/5 Comfort: 5/5 Value for money: Very high! If you like the kind of small inn that is not commercialized and full of human touch, you must stay at Hamden Inn once. Stopped here on our weekend getaway in Upstate NY. Just outside of Delhi NY, this rustic place is both a B&B as well as a happening, really good all around Restaurant. We had both the spicy Brussels Sprouts & the Prosciutto Melon w/Mozz for apps (good start). For dinner, I had the Hamden Burger (perfecto) & she had the Filaffle Platter (yum). Decent service, clean for the most part (but could some updating) & just a family-friendly environment. A little overpriced tho, as the only negative. read more

We stayed at the inn and also ate/drank at the inn several times during our stay. We came away from our staycation weekend boasting about this place. The inn (the upper level that you can rent out) has a striking interior decor and we loved the ambiance. There was plenty of space for all of our guests and the fact that there were two kitchens was incredible. I also loved that one of the bathrooms had a heat lamp. I definitely spent a good amount of time under there. We ate at the inn twice during our stay, and came down for drinks a few times over the weekend. I had the fried chicken sandwich my first night and ordered it throughout. I can't recommend it more. I liked the whipped ricotta, the wings as well as, the pumpkin pie, the peanut butter pie, and so much more. The G&T and bee's knees drinks were great as well. My mom lives in the area so I was surprised finding a place I actually hadn't saved on yelp. I was even more surprised when we showed up, the decor is amazing. Seriously I should find out who designed it and get them to my mom's house :P anyway I was even happier the food was very good. There aren't many good places right by my mom so it's good there is finally a place I actually really like. It's also a cute little place too, and you can stay here. I feel like I need to drag my husband over here so he'll want to go visit my mom more lol :P if in the area this is one of the to go places I'd say. read more

Ordered takeout and everything was delicious! The chicken sandwich was great and the wings are so good! I recommend not ordering the cheese curds unless you're eating them right away (completely my fault because I still can tell you they're delicious! I'm sure if you HAVE to order them in you can pop them in the air fryer for a bit and they'll be just as amazing as out of the oven). I do wish I would've just made a reservation because the inside of the restaurant is beautiful! A great relaxing and classy vibe! Will definitely come back when I'm in the area! read more

Hamden Inn is my favorite dinner spot, having a diverse menu that's well-executed with fresh ingredients. I really appreciate the gluten free options that are noted on the menu, and the owner Dave and Chef Joe are incredibly friendly and hospitable, as is the entire staff. Drove past this place a few times and had no idea it was a restaurant/bar. A friend told me to go and I'm so glad I did! The ambiance was great, laid back and trendy. The food was sooo good. I've been eagerly waiting for a chance to check out the newly reopened HI and last night was finally it. Was super happy to find everything I was hoping for. A friendly local place with a great mix of people from near and far. Plenty of cozy seating options for whatever mood you're in: Cozy snug bar with small tables, bigger inside dining room, porch seating (front w adirondack chairs, side with loungey vibe) picnic tables and fire pit. Nice to see cars lined up along Rt 10 enjoying a night out in the community supporting a local business. The menu is concise, reasonable, loaded with local farm fare and there wasn't anything I wouldn't have enjoyed. We had smash burger, chicken sandwich and two glasses of wine (about $40.) Easy self ordering inside followed by great follow up table service. This place has sat empty for years after several failed efforts to reboot it to its legendary glory days. We went today on a Thursday evening and the place was already busy at 5:30pm. The music was a little too loud but the vibe of the place was great. We each had the smash burger and it was very delicious. The burger was juicy with a potato roll as the buns. Definitely a good choice. The garlic parmesan fries were just ok, neither very garlicky nor cheesy. Overall, we enjoyed our first experience here and will definitely come back in the future. read more
