Well today may have been my last time going here. It's a shame that this place has changed so much since covid. Not sure what's going on with the waitress in the bar section, I know in all the 20 year time I've gone there she's never really been overly friendly or very nice, even though we always have a decent bill and a very good tip. But today she was just extremely unfriendly. We went to have a nice lunch and she made us feel unwelcome and exhibited annoyance when I asked for 2 small things I needed. I saw her laughing and joking with other people, so I don't know what her problem was today. I wasn't expecting a song and a dance routine, but a little smile and friendliness would have been nice. Either way I refuse to go someplace and spend good money to be treated that way. I guess we'll just go to the new diner in town. They are always welcoming and nice. Always genuinely glad you are patronizing their establishment and show it. They will treat you like family if you like that and remember your name, it's very nice to be appreciated. And the food at the new diner is amazing. read more

Grabbed lunch on our work break and had one waitress take our Togo orders on separate tabs. A different women rang us in, I said they were supposed to be separated and she yelled at us. Told us we should have told her before she rang it in.... She continued to shake her head and scowl at us. Really ruined a nice lunch break. Danny's is always on my must visit list when we are in Walton. The garlic knots with mozzarella are my favorite and I haven't found any anywhere else that compare. Definitely a local hotspot especially on weekends. I wish they stayed open later. My husband had a steak that was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Happened to come by this little place for lunch...family owned and had the chance to talk to one of the owners. She took the time to share her favorites and boy I took her advice. The homemade French Onion soup was DELICIOUS!! No out of a bag croutons, garlic flavored and crusted homemade and the soup was the best French onion soup I've ever had and I've had it in restaurants in Manhattan to Long Island. The Avocado app with chipotle sauce was also great. What I really liked is that there is a homemade flair to the food... not out of bags and frozen. Had NY strip. Very juicy, cooked to perfect temperature and had nice grill flavor. baked potato was also fresh and not dry. They serve you popcorn when you first get to table. Beer was very cold and they bring you a chilled mason jar to drink in. For Walton/Franklin area, definitely a good choice read more

Great bar and restaurant. I came for a short project to help out doctors at DVH and soon Danny's became my go to lunch spot. This place is family owned and they treat their customers like family as well. They don't offer alcohol unless you order food (some weird NY law) but that works to customers advantage as the food is to die for. Make sure to order their maple glazed Salmon. Yum. Outstanding wings and great pizza. We got there very close to closing time so we could not order off the full menu but were limited to wings, pizza, and soup. We had the wings and the pizza and both were great. The wings were meaty and tasty too. We had an order of the garlic parmesan wings and an order of medium spicy wings. The plain pie was also quite tasty. The extremely friendly server who was nice enough to accommodate us at this late hour turned out to also be the owner. read more

Came to town with my friends to get out of NYC and Danny's was recommended to us by our Airbnb host. When we came to pick up our order, the two guys in the front by the pizza were not wearing their masks. They told us we had 10 more minutes for our order to be ready and my friend said something about the masks because she is high risk for COVID. We wanted to make sure the people in the kitchen wore masks while they cooked our food. When we came back, one of the guys was wearing a mask, but the other was not and he was MAKING A PIZZA. This is so irresponsible and sad to see in such a lovely town. Please stay safe for yourselves and those around you especially when preparing and serving food. read more

Danny's gluten free pizza is perfection! I got the individual , white pizza with spinach and onion...I could eat it everyday !!!

Found Danny's when passing through on a weekend trip. My French onion soup was amazing! I made the mistake of ordering a fried chicken sandwich. While it was yummy it was simply a chicken cutlet on a bun. Overall the food was decent, and I would come back. Decent service, friendly staff and good location. read more

Nothing amazing or unique, but pretty consistent, standard food. I have eaten here about a dozen times, and haven't had a bad meal. Sometimes the service is slow. Atmosphere is very casual, mix of young and old. Family friendly. The personal pizzas are very good, and a good deal. I don't like the ads in the menus, but a lot of local places do that. read more

We stopped in for lunch in between games while my son was in Walton for a basketball tournament. The chicken fingers and fries were really good. The fries were golden and extra crispy. The tenders--delicious with a tangy side of barbecue sauce. The slaw was ok. The pickle kinda bland. The service was decent, but the food took way too long. They weren't busy so that was a tad annoying. But, the food was pretty good. Family friendly as well. I'd probably go again. read more

Went here for dinner after rush hour ordered appetizers and wings and an hour later still never received our appetizers, I had mentioned to the bartender that we were still waiting and she said she would go check. She then came to the front with Courtney and said they will be out shortly. There were only 6 tables occupied so it was not crowded.I asked her to please bag up the dinners as we cannot wait any longer they both looked at each other and laughed. VERY RUDE!! At this point I told her to cancel the whole order as it is now an hour and 15 minutes later with no food yet. Courtney was very rude and tried to escort me out of the restaurant. Rule of thumb do not let your 20 year old daughter run your restaurant. She is very immature and so is your bartender. You don't treat paying customers like that. read more

You enter as guests and leave as family. Great food, great people and overall great everything. Soups are homemade and very delicious. Fresh popcorn served on each bar table and the bar. Went here for dinner, we visit the Catskills every year, and just found this place- garlic knots were amazing!!!! Pizza was good as well- broccoli cheddar soup delish. Have not had luck with tasty food in this area before, we were very happy to find good food like at home. Nothing crazy fancy, just good and what they do. Very mediocre food. I ordered chicken parm and they managed to overcook it to death. Service was abysmal. The server acted as if getting you another beverage was an inconvenience. She actually rolled her eyes when I asked for another iced tea. There were five of us dining together, and none of us will ever return. I was told that the owner is from New Jersey and instructs her staff to ignore the locals and kiss the butts of out of towners. Not a good business strategy in a small rural village.
