First, let me preface my review by saying that they changed ownership during 2025 and I have not yet been back under the new ownership though they assure they're going to keep much the same...we'll see! Love a place that has a really solid beer like Genny. Cream Ale on tap for an affordable price was $2.50 a pint every day of the year. Their food was always very good and the people fantastic. I had the rehearsal dinner for my wedding here and they absoliutely rose to the occasion. The ambiance is amazing from the sidewalk dining to the large outdoor dining area compete with bar to a great L-shaped bar with high and low top tables opposite the bar to a quaint dining room and even a30+ person private party room called the speakeasy with a full bar. Again a terrific space with great food managed by GREAT, FRIENDLY, LOCALS - not transplants from NYC. I only met the young lady new owner once right after the sale but before any transaction. She seemed very nice and receptive to keeping the greatness going. I really wish them well and sincerely hope they keep enough things the same to continue the greatness and give a home for locals and an oasis for travelers alike. We were lucky to find this spot still serving food at close to 9 when everything else in the area had shut down. Not only were they still open but they had live music and a lively atmosphere. Our group of 4 had a Caesar salad, Buffalo chicken sandwich, bangers & mash and the fish and chips. All were solid and enjoyed by the group. If I had one complaint it would be that the sausages weren't cooked to be quite as taught as I like. I prefer them to have a little plumpness/grill to them and these seemed like they were maybe boiled for 30 seconds before being plated. Stopped for a late lunch with my sister and nephew and we were glad we did! The French onion soup was delicious and the Mexican street corn dip was very tasty. Went here with my girlfriend on a Wednesday for trivia night. The trivia host could not even read the questions, and had to spell the words she did not understand. it was horrible! the food bill was almost $80 for two cups of soup and a burger that we split along with two beer and a glass of wine. We were doing well in the trivia competition when a waitress accused my girlfriend of cheating, and said that the pub would not honor the discounts we had won. I will never be back. read more

My boyfriend and I just walked in here and sat at the bar, trying to just have a drink. The bar tender didn't even ask for our IDs, but since we both look young we always take them out and show before we get asked. She walks away with JUST my boyfriend's ID and walks away for about 5 minutes with it and comes back claiming his ID is fake. She says it's not real, although it clearly is, as was mine. I SEE her scan them into her computer and she said they both say "0" which WASN'T true, considering they're REAL IDs. This woman wouldn't let us talk to anyone else and clearly was just claiming they were fake because my boyfriend isn't white like everyone else in the restaurant. It was one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen and I'm appalled that people like this exist. Fuck this place. read more

Staff is friendly and always right there when you need them. Let me start off by saying that I know the restaurant just re-opened this past Wednesday. HOWEVER, they RE-opened. They have been opened since 2010. They know what their customer flow is like AND they know they'll be busy after not being opened since the summer. I called to ask when the kitchen closed, I was told 10, my friend called to ask when they closed the kitchen(she didn't know I already called) they told her 9:30. So the staff is either lying about when the kitchen closes or are just not knowledgeable about their hours. My friends and I had a reservation for 830. We waited half an hour to be seated, regardless of the reservation. We then waited about 10 minutes to receive even water. Our drink, appand food order were taken at the same time. It took about another ten minutes for our drinks to come out. I ordered a cranberry vodka, my drink was so watered down that you couldn't taste any vodka to the point where I didn't think there was any in it at all. We then waited about 20 minutes for our apps and then about another 20 minutes for our food. I got the chicken. The first half of it was alright, and the second half was really dry that I didnt even eat it. Then when we were brought our bill, it was $93 because the waitress screwed up the checks and charged us for things we didn't even order AND charged my cranberry juice as a double. We also ordered two cheesecakes to go and I had to ask for it three times before it was brought to us. Like I said, I know they're just re-opening. But this is unacceptable, especially when it's a RE-open. They've been doing this for years. Update: my friend went there separately. She's a vegetarian. She got a cardio club salad and asked for it without chicken. Instead of fixing it, they said they'd give her a drink token.... and the salad looked sad. read more

Super-friendly waitstaff, yummy pub food, eclectic menu, pleasant ambiance, and a decent beer selection make this place a good stop in you're seeking libations and/or sustenance in Delhi. Bonus point for a beer list includes local-esque options (such as Ommegang) and some locally sourced menu items, including beef and veggies. Our burgers were delicious and the garlic fries rocked. We'll definitely be back to try other menu items like the fried pickles (which could either be the world's best idea, or the world's worst). Very good live music, too, on the night we were there. We came in for lunch twice during our visit to Delhi. The food and service were great - lots of standard pub fare with a couple of healthier options mixed in. I love this place! The renovations are amazing, and the food is great. There's something for everyone including vegetarian/vegan options. I love the Mediterranean board. So, the service was unfriendly, borderline hostile. My steak was cooked on the grill from frozen, leaving the middle of the steak raw and cold. Disappointed that although the interior is much nicer than before, the food and service is very poor. I'm hoping to try again this summer when things are back in full swing. My three friends and I were in Delhi this past weekend visiting from downstate. On previous visits to Delhi we had driven past O'Neill's but were under the impression it was merely a bar. We visited on Sunday and were pleasantly surprised that while there is a bar in O'Neill's the restaurant section is well done and the food selection and quality is great. Three of us had the pork schnitzel and the other had the roasted chicken. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was great. read more

Went in with my husband tonight after driving up from Brooklyn. We were excited to be up from Brooklyn out of the hustle bustle for some laid back fun. My husband really wanted to see the Blackhawks game and we passed by this place which seemed great. We were carded at the door by a nice gentleman and headed to the bar for a beer. Next up the bartender asked for our ID again ( thanks considering I'm 34 and my hubby is 37.) They wouldn't serve us! They refused and treated us like we were trying to trick them. At first it was funny but after her taking his ID and consulting with the rest of the staff for 6 minutes in the kitchen it got to be annoying. I guess people in Delhi look really old? I mean to be 16 years over 21 and refused alcohol is at first a compliment until you really want to watch the game and have a damn beer. Please can you train your staff to recognize real ID's??? Food has been ok to pretty good, but the place is dumpy - needs a good scrubbing and refresh. The back room, where most people eat, is dark and worn looking. Feels like a basement. The entryway. Which is confusing in its side of bldg location, is cramped and dirty. The space has potential so it just feels neglected. Too bad. I wish they'd really just go all out on the 'irish pub' theme instead of the current 'hillbilly' theme! Service has been hit or miss - there is one regular server who's kinda rough in manners. She's not outright rude but you're clearly bothering her...on a most recent visit she walked us to our booth first and set up the table and poured waters before she let us sit. Never had that happen anywhere before. We just stood there behind her while she did everything then she walked off without a word and we assumed we could now actually sit. I've had a variety of items here at lunch and dinner: crab cakes are good, and the burgers are too, and the salads as well. Easily the best restaurant in Delhi. The menu is on par - definitely the best buffalo chicken sandwich I've ever had, and the turkey club is massive. The weekly specials are always great. The various bar pickles are homemade and definitely something to try, and you can never go wrong with a burger here. And the best part is the beer - local breweries, and rotating seasonal draught. They host different events most evenings, so there's always something to do. Thursday karaoke and Saturday's live bands are always a good time. read more
