The fried chicken really hit the spot. It was crispy on the outside and juicy once you bite into it. The ribs were on point as well and really good with the sweet yam side. I wasn't crazy about the potato salad but I normally don't eat potato salad so can't really compare it. Banana pudding was smooth a hit of vanilla and slightly warm which I loved. Will definitely be back to try their other menu items.

We were in Oneonta for a week for Cooperstown All-Star Village tournament. We attempted to go here 3 times. Twice, we drove up and it was totally empty even though their hours said they were open online. When we came up, they were closed for a reservation. Once, we got in line and waited for 30 minutes and the line moved about 10ft total. We were still 20ft from the window. This is not a joke. If you want to try it, I would suggest checking their social media or calling in advance. There is no real schedule during baseball season and it can be an extremely frustrating experience. Good luck!

My chicken was average at best, and my wife didnt like her hamburger it had no taste and was soggy. Really the only thing that was normal was the salad bar. The waitress never came over to let us know when the food was coming, which is customary when waiting a long time. Also the home made fries were kind of soggy,, and the smaller pieces were outright crunchy and way overcooked. This placed used to be top notch, with great food, good service, and prices. We have ate at this place probably around 40 times, when it was good, back in the day. Hopefully it will get back to where it was before.

The chicken here like I stated in the pass is off the charts delicious. Nothing even comes close to them. The Mac and cheese on this trip was good as well as the macaroni salad. Make sure when you come here you get a couple bbq sauces. The sauce is so delicious. So good that you can even find them sold in your local Walmarts. I ordered online which is super easy to do and ready when they say it's going to be. On Easter Sunday this place was jam packed in the dine in section which made my decision to order and take out online worth it. Just pulling into the parking lot your greeted ti the aroma of bbq and their smokers working overtime. Absolutely amazing. So after a 4 year hiatus, I'm glad to say that this experience was great.

Full disclosure, the food's not bad and the guy making it was very friendly. That said, these are tacos so white I'm surprised they don't come slathered in mayonnaise. No Al Pastor. No Barria. No Barbacoa. Legit chorizo comes in a tube that costs like a dollar. Where's that? I ordered a BBQ Pulled Pork Taco thinking it might be Ty's answer to Carnitas, but it was just pulled pork on a tortilla. It was fine, but it wasn't a taco. It was decent pulled pork BBQ on a tortilla. No flavorfully Mexican take on pulled pork BBQ. I can't imagine what's in the Street Corn or Classic Beef, the only tacos masquerading as authentic Mexican food. Greek chicken or falafel? Are you kidding me? Why bother? A Greek chicken taco is called a Souvlaki, and a falafel is, well, a Falafel. Star Mix is right up the street, and if you're looking for a souvlaki or falafel, it's pretty great, and a lot cheaper. And that's my real beef with Ty's. Mediocre white-people-tacos are a common scourge of any college town, but $17 for three tacos? $6 to $6.50 for one? Who's buying these tacos with the regularity to keep this stand in business? Authentic Mexican restaurants around the country - sit-down restaurants with far more overhead - manage to offer guests free chips and salsa. Ty's charges $3 for salsa, and another $5 for the chips. That's like charging $3 for the cigarette and $5 for the light. And as those countless, authentic restaurants have proven, Ty's doesn't need it.
