I had the Santa Fe wrap which was excellent. The fries were not greasy at all and seasoned well. My friend was jonesing for a Monte Cristo and got that with sweet potato fries and an unsweetened iced tea, and enjoyed all of it. We loved the old school diner vibe of the exterior -- the interior is comfortable and bright. We encountered a few people there all of whom took really great care of us -- and even though it got busy during lunchtime, we weren't rushed through our meal. The person behind the register where we paid on the way out was warm and charming, and we told him we planned to return. Beautiful drive there and home as well!

We ordered the French onion soup and it was excellent. I knew the soup would be great as Kevin is a chef and takes pride in every aspect of his creations. My wife had the hanger steak salad which is served on top of large plate of leafy green with fresh vegetables and some wedge fries, it was solid! This was one of the daily specials and did not disappoint. I had another one of the specials an oyster po-boy. The bread was delicious and they must make it in house. The greens were fresh and the tomatoes sweet however there were only two small oysters on each half of the sandwich? Very small and really unnoticeable give the size of the sandwich. I was really disappointed because I love oysters and was surprised that they didn't add more to the sandwich. It was served with a nice spicy mayonnaise and homemade fries. Maybe they were running out of oysters, which they should have just taken it off the menu. Either way I'd rather have a traditional Po-boy loaded with oysters and less of the greens and tomatoes. She was so friendly and welcoming, and you could tell she really cared about the restaurant. She told me her parents have owned it for 21 years. I was craving a chicken sandwich, so she recommended The One Stop. She nailed it. The chicken was juicy, the breading was light, the bread tasted homemade, and that melted mozzarella was so good. Everything tasted fresh. I honestly ate the sandwich way too fast. The pasta salad was also really good... I could've eaten a lot more of it. She even came back to check how everything was, and I gave her a thumbs-up with my mouth completely full. It's a clean, welcoming place with a huge drink selection, but the hospitality really made the visit for me. They have small cozy area for you to chill and enjoy your meal and the service is always quick and friendly. Many of the towns in the Hudson Valley have been revitalizing their downtown areas with great success but Catskill Village seems to be moving a lot slower compared to those other areas.
