The fried chicken really hit the spot. It was crispy on the outside and juicy once you bite into it. The ribs were on point as well and really good with the sweet yam side. I wasn't crazy about the potato salad but I normally don't eat potato salad so can't really compare it. Banana pudding was smooth a hit of vanilla and slightly warm which I loved. Will definitely be back to try their other menu items.

We were in Oneonta for a week for Cooperstown All-Star Village tournament. We attempted to go here 3 times. Twice, we drove up and it was totally empty even though their hours said they were open online. When we came up, they were closed for a reservation. Once, we got in line and waited for 30 minutes and the line moved about 10ft total. We were still 20ft from the window. This is not a joke. If you want to try it, I would suggest checking their social media or calling in advance. There is no real schedule during baseball season and it can be an extremely frustrating experience. Good luck!

Brooks' BBQ chicken is some of the best I've ever had. It tastes very much like "Cornell chicken",…read morewhich has a vinegar based marinade & is very popular in the Ithaca/Lansing, NY area. I stop here whenever I'm in upstate NY to pick up bottles of this scrumptious sauce to bring home. This trip, I was delighted to find they had deep-sixed the "meh" buffet & now offered a full menu, including appetizers & desserts. A half chicken dinner ($19) includes their salad bar, a loaf of their homemade bread & one side. If you're not into chicken, which is what they're known for, they also offer ribs, brisket & other charbroiled meats. The salad bar had a good selection & everything tasted fresh & crisp. Their bread loaf is soft, white & served warm with whipped butter. We also ordered an appetizer of hush puppies, which were delicious with the whipped cinnamon butter that came with them. I chose baked beans for my side dish. Tasty & a good complement to the chicken. The chicken... perfectly charred, smoky, tender... wow!!! So delicious. Now for the weird part... we had leftovers & asked for take away containers. Our server brought us each a plastic box for the chicken. I asked for a small covered cup to take the rest of the beans & was told they don't give those out in the dining room. That was part of the meal I was paying for, so I asked her to please ask management if I could have a container. She came back with one but said, "We made an exception this time, but don't let it happen again." What?!? If it hadn't been for this, I would have rated it 5 stars.

The chicken here like I stated in the pass is off the charts delicious. Nothing even comes close to them. The Mac and cheese on this trip was good as well as the macaroni salad. Make sure when you come here you get a couple bbq sauces. The sauce is so delicious. So good that you can even find them sold in your local Walmarts. I ordered online which is super easy to do and ready when they say it's going to be. On Easter Sunday this place was jam packed in the dine in section which made my decision to order and take out online worth it. Just pulling into the parking lot your greeted ti the aroma of bbq and their smokers working overtime. Absolutely amazing. So after a 4 year hiatus, I'm glad to say that this experience was great.

A spiedie, (pronounced "speedy", ) famous in Binghamton, is simply a marinated chicken sandwich on a roll. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to you. I ordered a 6 inch sandwich. They have several different styles, but I simply went with the original. Oh, my, I can see why this sandwich has such a following. The sesame seed roll was tender, and oh the chicken... it was chock full of chicken, It was moist, it was tender, and yes, it was marinated very well. I don't know what they use, but it was just absolutely an amazing sandwich. A simple 6 inch sandwich, and I was stuffed. A sandwich and a soda, and I was 10 bucks and change out the door. Extremely reasonable. Thank you so much!

They are my personal favorite place in the area to get spiedies. They remodeled this old Pizza Hut building and moved across the parking lot into it a few years back, and their efforts definitely paid off. It can get quite busy in here, but the seating area is cozy, spacious, and comfortable enough to accommodate the traffic. Even when it is crazy busy, the staff does a wonderful job of keeping the line moving and getting your order to you in a timely manner. And the food is always delicious! If you're visiting Binghamton, you have to stop here to try some fantastic spiedies made the right way!
