The food and service was top notch. We were given a 1-5 spicy rating choice - had chose 3 which was just what I was looking for . I've had their Thai iced before which is very unique but today enjoyed the Singha Thai beer - everything was great and leftovers came out great! Love the ambience there as well - very clean and calm environment. read more

I was driving through Oneonta and came across Simply Thai, so I decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I did. It's a quaint spot in a quaint town, and honestly, I went in with tempered expectations. I figured it might not compare to the elevated, flavorful Thai food I'm used to in Los Angeles. But I was pleasantly surprised. What stood out to me most was the hospitality. I had accidentally ordered the wrong item and needed to cancel it, and the staff was incredibly kind and flexible about removing it. That level of graciousness really leaves an impression. The house salad was so good, I genuinely wished it came as a full main dish. I also had the vegan mock chicken Penang curry, and that absolutely did not disappoint. It was flavorful, satisfying, and worth ordering again. If you're in Oneonta and craving something a little different, I would absolutely recommend Simply Thai. A lovely surprise in a small New York town. read more

Parking is down the street a bit unless you get lucky enough to get one of the 3 spots out front on the busy road. I was seated right away and after was poured. I like a little heart in my Thai food but I also like to taste it. The server said the 1-5 levels start a bit spicy. I typically order 3 so she suggested 2.i had the pork green curry level 2 and it was perfect for me. It took about 5 minutes to get to my table and I had to let it cool before I could eat it. There was not a lot of pork and could not taste the coconut milk at all. So the curry was kind of bland. It was okay, just bland. The restrooms are small and awkward but like the rest of the place it was clean. I wouldn't work as hard as I did to find parking to come here again. My favorite Thai food is curry but I would have a noodle dish if I ever came back. read more

Service was great, can't complain there. Food was decent. Pad see ew was flavorful! Fried rice had good taste except meat tasted old. Like it was old meat and they still cooked it. Veg rolls were not good, and you only get 3 small pc. They were only fluffy under the crispy layer. Little to no veggie inside. VERY small portions for the price, would not recommend. Not worth the price. Restaurant appeared clean. 2 separate restrooms Male and Female. Plenty of staff. read more

Simply Thai is my number one favorite place in Oneonta! The service has always been exceptional a family connection I adore every one who is apart of the simply thai family, the food is flawless in my opinion we always order too much because we can't decide what to order because we love it all. From the tom yum soup to the eggplant long song and the crispy basil duck. Nothing bad in my opinion definitely worth the visit! read more

Food is authentic and not bad. Service is pretty good. It's a nice find in the neighborhood.

Had a good meal here, ordered takeout. Got Shrimp Pad Thai, Chicken Massaman Curry and then a third curry which i forget which one it was. I liked the food, tasted fresh and authentic, however was less spiced than I'm used to (I used to live in Thai Town in LA and the Spices, not just the heat level, felt really subdued which would make sense for this location). I'd like to return in person to give it another try and ask them to amp up the spice! read more

Ate there last night and everything was outstanding. I had the fried vegetable appetizer with sweet chili sauce and it was hot plentiful and delicious. I had rad prick. The fish was incredibly crispy outside and still moist and perfectly cooked inside. The accompanied fried peppers and onions were still a little crispy, and the sweet-and-sour sauce was perfectly balanced. All that was covered by a handful of deep-fried holy basil leaves. I've never had better. My wife had Penang Curry and ate every bite. The service was great. It was a lovely meal and a lovely August evening. I will definitely be back to try other things. Highly recommended.. read more

YUMMY!!! Great spot in upstate NY. Beautifully decorated with photos of Thailand. The food was wonderful and delicious. The staff was friendly and very attentive. All the dishes were tasty and distinct. They will make to your spicy level, which is nice. There were lots of take out orders but they were very prompt and timely with our dishes. We shared family style and the waitress said it reminded her of home. Since we shared dishes, the waitress asked if she could bring them out as they became ready. Which lead to a stream of dishes being presented pipping hot from the kitchen. Off menu was the special dessert that day..Thai tea crème brûlée...two thumbs up for sure! Great place for families. On street parking or parking lot wasn't difficult. Definitely recommend and will come again when in the upstate area. read more

Visiting Oneonta during baseball season and found this place. We were help fairly quickly by host and lead the way to our table. Place has a more upscale vibe to it so I appreciate the extra effort. We ordered 2 appetizers that came out super fast! Which made me think how fresh is this food?! But it was great! Veggies rolls could use more vegetables lol but over all good. We also ordered Calamari which very tender and not over fried. It was as great! I decided to go with a spicy chicken salad. 10 for efforts because of their presentation!! It was good but nothing to go crazy over. The "spicy" dressing wasn't spicy at all. Not sure if you can ask for the spicy level but I wasn't ask. But the peanut spicy dressing was ok. I would recommend this place just be mindful to ask just a little more before ordering. read more

Simply Thai has decent, reasonably priced Thai food. I would recommend it and we would go back again.

We ordered take out and it was terrific. Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Green Curry and Spring rolls were excellent. Living on the West Coast we are used to authentic Thai cuisine. Simply Thai was a pleasant surprise and can compete with the best. Definitely worth a visit or for dining in as the ambiance was quite enjoyable. read more

I ordered the Pork Pad Thai, and it was super tasty. I enjoyed the blend of flavors. Out Server was quick with service and was super sweet. Simply amazing. The King's on the wall so rest assured it's authentic Thai owned. The flavor has so many layers and so much umami in the meat. We ordered: Chicken Thai salad - homemade peanut sauce (so good) with lettuce, tomatoes, and satay grilled chicken that was so moist Pork basil Must get. The meat is so tender and the way they pre treat the pork has no meaty raw taste. The basil was very fragrant and it's not overly salty either like most places I've eaten at, it was perfectly balanced. Pad krah khing with chicken We wanted a different stir fry that would be different from pork basil so we tried this dish. The flavor was sooo good, little spicy but not overbearing becAuse the spice was more of a tangy numb spice. It almost taste like Tom yum flavor but the flavor has so many layers. We also liked the crunch from the long beans. read more

Service was brilliant and helpful. Ambiance was cute and would have been quiet but for the many many people also eating here. Food is phenomenal. Indian husband did order Thai hot and he was almost spiced out, so do be cautious once you're up there in terms of spice level. Highly highly HIGHLY recommend eating here. read more

I ordered the spicy wings, the tom kha soup with shrimp, a salad with the warm peanut dressing and the red snapper rad prik. Easily one of the best meals I've ever had in a very long time. The flavors were new and exciting and everything was cooked perfectly. It's obvious a lot of love and care was put into my meal. I can't wait to go back! The servers were polite and timely and even the owner pitches in to help (always a good sign). The staff seemed happy and it shows in the food. Clean space with appealing decor. So happy to have this spot here in Oneonta. Food is always fresh, and done quick. Staff is accommodating. Decent size menu for the area. My go to for comfort food. Can be a bit pricey, but you get 2 meals out of one order, so you always have leftovers to look forward to. Beware of the spicy, staff will warn you. I really like spicy, so I always go level 3 and up, especially if I have a cold or something during the winters. Never had a bad experience, even when I ordered something new that I have never had before. Highly recommend spicy thai basil with chicken, and a thai iced coffee, pairs well together to sooth the spicy. read more

Great lunch spot. In the area visiting and we were craving Thai . We had a recommendation to try a nearby place but it was not open so we ventured into this one. One of my many go-to places in Oneonta. Pros: Delicious dishes, has good lunch special portions and prices for college kids, good location, cute plates, delicious food, has a bathroom, near the OPT main stop, and has outlets along the window seats. Cons: I've called for delivery 2 times and was told that there was no one to deliver stuff because they needed to be trained. What better way of training than by practicing though? Also, they're closed on Wednesdays so there were a few times where we wrote down what everyone wanted and couldn't get Thai. No A/C in the summer. Some of my favorite dishes are: Thai fried rice, tom kha soup, and pineapple fried rice. read more

It's okay. The apps are amazing and taste fresh, however my meal looked and tasted like "left overs." I ordered Pad Thai with tofu and was put off by the mushy old noodles and lack of fresh ingredients. My husband had a different experience, and agreed that my food tasted old. The service was great and the waitress was amazing. I do feel bad about this review, but they gave me old food. Maybe other patrons can't tell the difference, but I can because mama didn't raise no fool. I'm also a foodie with experience. read more

Food was pretty good but takeout 30min longer than the estimate, a few more details on our takeout order: 1. Spicy Fried Rice was good (4/5 spiciness was spicy and perfect) 2. Salads were a little heavy on dressing 3. Pad Thai was a bit stuck together (sorta brick-like, but it was takeout). Flavor was a little bland (great with the extra salad dressing!) 4. Pad See Ew was decent 5. Eggplant dish was good Surprisingly solid for a smaller NE town. read more

Food is great, with excellent service. Quick arrival of orders, good selection of foods. Flavor is authentic. I took away 2 stars because I couldn't stand the hardcore Christian rock music. Nothing against the religion at all, just way too heavy on the Jesus. read more

Remind you, We are in the middle of the pandemic and winter break in a college town. So it's very slow and very quiet here. My husband and I came here for a few days to escape the city and enjoy the mountains. My husband called this place for take out and while on the phone he was asking them questions about the menu. We already knew what we wanted to order, but at some point he turned to ask me which level spiciness I wanted. The lady on the phone told him to figure out what he wants and give him a call back. With a big attitude and was very rude. So we canceled the order right away. Mu husband told her "please cancel my order, you have a bad attitude". She didn't respond abs hung up. I really don't want anyone with an attitude problem preparing our food. Not sure what's the point of being so rude when there is no business during Covid anyway. read more

Ordered take out for dinner. Service was courteous and the food was ready promptly, as estimated. My son is a Pad See Ew connoisseur, and while the noodles and sauce were enjoyable, we were missing the carrots and broccoli that typically are found in this popular Thai dish. Similarly, while the Pad Thai was fine, it just didn't measure up to other Thai restaurants we frequent. The portions were generous and prices were reasonable, so if you are in the area and in the mood for Thai, it's worth a visit. read more

They know me by Ben. I call in order fresh rolls and pad Thai. 30 minutes later I walk in and pick up my order. The food was awaiting my arrival. I have never in my life tasted something so delicious. Drops of heaven spoon fed to me by angels. The food is amazing with equally amazing service. My favorite food is made behind their doors. Always passed by this place, finally got to try it. It was busy on a Monday Evening. I'm used to nyc Thai, this was just as good. We had the spring rolls as an appetizer. The Tom Yum soup is a fav of mine and was excellent. I got the vegetable drunken noodles as my main. I asked for a level 3.5/5 for spicy. It was flavorful but I felt I could have went up a level. I just wish more broccoli came with the drunken noodles. I felt it was mostly carrots and onions. The owner explained everything will come out as it's ready. I'm not sure if this is always the policy or if it was because we came closer to closing time. I would def go again and try some more menu items! read more

Noodles are incredible. Rama and Pad thai are best. Recommend spicy level of 1 for the average person, higher if you like spicy.

I had their drunken noodles and I'm pretty sure the noodles were just sliced lasagna noodles. The texture was chewy and it all clumped together. the tofu was dreadful and dry-- it also had a strange taste to it.. The spice was great (I asked for a 4). I love Thai food but this place isn't it. read more

Simply Thai is simply AMAZING! As a big foodie who grew up eating various types of flavorful Asian foods, I really enjoyed Simply Thai. Since this was my first time to this restaurant, I really liked how the menu included photos. When you order, they ask you what spicy level you want your food, which I thought was very neat. I've never had that option at other restaurants. I had ordered the Pad See Ew and it was amazing. I ate the whole plate in about 5 minutes. It was simply delicious! There was so much savory goodness, I honestly wish I could have had more. The dish had a perfect amount of sauce. I've had Thai noodle dishes that were either too dry or drenched in sauce, I was very happy with the perfect balance. If you're extremely hungry like I was from a long day, I might suggest ordering more food because splitting an appetizer and having this dish did not make me full until I was in pain. But thinking about this dish makes me crave it! I'm so sad I don't have a place like this in my hometown! I would totally recommend this restaurant to anyone. It's great service, great food, very clean, reasonably priced, and a friendly environment! read more
