The space was cute and food was EXCELLENT. Everything was tasty but the standouts were the spring rolls and the pad thai. Great depth of flavor and good portions. Staff was friendly and we spoke with the owner. She was so warm and welcoming and knows how to cook! Will definitely be a new go to when I visit the area

Absolutely lovely service!! Cozy ambience. Our waitress recommended her favorite skin-less dumplings (triangle-shaped, veggie-stuffed), which was delicious! Egg rolls were good too. I liked that they brought the cider out in a mug so cold the cider started crystallizing. Unfortunately the tofu drunken noodles were not it... very soggy, flavor profile was not quite right. For that reason alone I'm docking the points. I would still come again if I was ever in the area tho! I would just not order that.

I've eaten a lot of Thai over the years in NYC, LA and elsewhere. Hands down this is one of the worst Thai restaurants I've been to period. (I don't like to write bad reviews but shaking my head in amazement at this place.) $45 dollars in total for som tum salad (not really som tum see below), green curry with shrimp and pad prik king with chicken. Portions so small couldn't feed two people. Plus one beer ($5, best thing about this place served with a chilled beer mug). Extra charge on the menu for rice (I still don't know what they charge. it's a secret they don't tell you ahead of time. And they don't give you an itemized receipt.). See my pic of the menu. At bottom hand written it says "For every dish that comes with rice you will be charged." Um, could they just say how much it is maybe? This place is just -- WEIRD!! First, we encountered what seems to be a young (under 18?) kid who dodges any questions about the menu. You have to order at window then sit down and he brings the very small portions to you. Did I mention prices are higher than where I live in Manhattan yet portions are smaller!? We had the Pad Prik King which is supposed to be made with firm, dried green bean but they appeared to be frozen green beans chopped into small pieces and over cooked. Sauce was passable, but watery. We ordered the Som Tom salad. I asked the kid if it had green papaya. He acted like I was from Mars. Yes google it, it's supposed to have green papaya, that's what Som Tom is. But the salad we got had NO GREEN PAPAYA. The dressing seemed right, but without the papaya, it was just a small pile of tomato, cabbage and carrots. Not enough to share between 2 people. Of everything the green curry with shrimp was alright, but tiny. And in both cases the rice was extra. Supposedly due to rice prices going up, they have to charge separately for rice. My husband and I were thinking, how much could it have gone up? 25 cents? I mean they must buy it in bulk right?! BOTTOM LINE. This place is bizarre and overpriced. I hate to say bad things about a place. I wish they would get their act together and treat their patrons with respect.

My family and I have been ordering from here for quite some time. We always loved the food and service, we still do enjoy the food but today we ordered two pad Thais and order of spring rolls. To my surprise we were charged 35 bucks for 3 spring rolls and 2 small servings of the pad Thais. I mean I get places are struggling and you need to find ways to make up the losses but the two main reasons we always came here was 1- prices were always fair and 2- you always got plenty for what you paid for. And to top it we were charged 5 extra dollars for us to pick it up and was even asked to tip on top of it all. I don't know what made them change but they lost a loyal customer today!

If you want authentic Thai food this place isn't it. This place cater towards yuppies. I'm so annoyed.

A gem in the middle of nowhere. The good news is that everything here is great; the bad news is that many of the dishes are very similar. We had a group of eight and asked the server to order for us. We had: Pad see ew Pad Thai Thai fried rice Pad woosen glass noodles All good but similar. I would order a more varied set of selections next time. And by the way, "pad" means stir fry. We started with spring roll, one fresh, one Thai spring roll. Very fresh and flavorful. Not greasy. Leave room for the housemade desserts which were both amazing. We have the mango sticky rice -- a must-have, in my opinion -- and the homemade coconut ice cream, The service was gracious and pretty fast (though we were the only people there in the middle of the afternoon and there was just one person running the place, so our experience may not be representative). Nice big place, attractive and clean, with a pleasant decor.

A fresh new taste that is filling, made fresh with each order. May take a little longer to get your food but well worth it.

As an alumni returning for a weekend visit, I was initially disheartened to discover that my beloved local Thai house, Lemongrass, had closed its doors. However, fate had a delicious surprise in store for me and my friends as we stumbled upon Bangkok Cafe, only to realize it was under the same management as Lemongrass! From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in the comforting aroma of authentic Thai spices and the welcoming ambiance of familiar faces. Each dish we ordered transported me back to my school days, with every bite reminiscent of the culinary magic I had come to cherish at Lemongrass. While every dish we sampled was incredible, the Pad See Ew stole the show! I love Thai food and have been to many amazing restaurants but this pad see ew will always be #1. The noodles are perfect in every aspect - size, shape, and texture. What truly sets Bangkok Cafe apart is not just the outstanding food, but also the affordability without compromising on quality. In a world where good food often comes with a hefty price tag, Bangkok Cafe remains a beacon of accessible excellence. The service is also always top notch. Everyone is so friendly and the food comes out quick! Needless to say, Bangkok Cafe has effortlessly claimed the title of my favorite Thai restaurant, a position it will undoubtedly hold for many years to come.

Everything was packed perfectly and nothing was missing. They even provided a cardboard cup holder for the drinks. At the counter, you can take your own cutlery, napkins, candy, and chopsticks. Everyone enjoyed the food. Mine was shrimp panang curry and I also tasted some mango sticky rice, thai iced tea, chicken satay and duck drunken noodles. They do have a smaller lunch portion, but I opted for the regular size which was enough for 2 meals. The panang curry hit the spot and had just the right spice level for me. The mango was perfectly ripe, thai iced tea perfectly sweet, chicken satay was tender and came with 2 sauces. The duck drunken noodles were cooked perfectly and there was a good duck to noodle ratio, but not really spicy. I did notice the restaurant was a bit cold inside, but I got takeout so did not stay to eat. Would love a way to pre-order pickup online - the websites available would only allow delivery ordering. Would order takeout from here again.
