This is a high end fusion thai restaurant. Think thai food meets steak house meets Indian food with a touch of nepali/Tibetan as well. The restaurant is stunning. The food was delicious. However for the thai enthusiast who grew up eating thai food in thai neighborhoods (think Elmhurst in Queens), it left me wanting more authenticity. We get our nails done next door and LOVE Thai food, but it was always take-out only & too far to take it home. But last week the "take out only" sign was down and we decided to try it. There are only a few tables, and there is no ambiance. I don't understand why these little places are always a mess and look so dumpy. The Tom Kha soup, however, was amazing. The seasoning was perfect & I'm looking forward to having it again. Otherwise, my suggestion would be to just do take out. I begrudge giving a 15 or 20% tip to a server that sits at the cash register the whole time & only gets up to bring your plate from the kitchen to your table & doesn't check on you. Still takeout only as of July 2022. We ordered online and it was ready at the estimated time. I asked for no utensils or straw in the instructions and they followed it, and I messed up while placing the first order and had to make another to add an item, and they also followed the instruction I left on the second order to package the two together. I had the Eggplant Basil Tofu and a Thai Iced Tea and it hit the spot. The tea was good, just sweet enough and with an authentic flavour. The entrée was very flavourful. There was a little bit of spiciness but the main flavour was the herbal basil. The portion size was just right, with big pieces of tofu and eggplant. You can replace the default jasmine rice for most entrees with another side (for $1.80 extra); I was really craving noodles so I got the steamed noodles. They were a little sticky coming out of the takeout container but they loosened right up with some sauce. Well, what a difference a year or two makes... Not sure if the ownership changed but Thai on Main once absolutely wowed us and this visit, simply disappointed. While the food appeared to be pleasant, gone were the intense flavors and diverse veggies in the curry. The green curry that I once wrote about now housed a blend of carrot, broccoli, mushroom and bamboo shoots. The sauce so thin that it was challenging to eat off of a plate, yet no bowls were provided and we had to request some spoons. We left the entire dish of sauce instead of treating it like a prized treat. Even the papaya salad was mundane. Service a bit frazzled, water not refilled. The food was seriously fantastic. The portions are large and their prices are very fair. It would be a full on 5 star review but the entire place inside reeks of a dirty litter box. Honestly, I was hesitant to eat my lunch because it my perception signaled all things unsanitary, simply due to the odor (although it physically appeared to be very clean). I hope they don't actually have cats there. Or possibly it was a pet store previously? Either way, the odor was so strong that my clothes smelled like it after only being in there for 5-10 minutes and my cat allergies were in full effect. Curry Puffs: Very delicate, soft, savory and light pastry. Highly recommend trying. Glass Vermicelli: Noodles were soft. Flavored well but not overwhelming. A touch of sweetness under the umami. Udon Basil: Nice amount of tomato flavor. Subtle hint of basil. Very delicious. Royal Tom Yum: if you aren't used to the aroma of regular Tom Yum, this soup is the one for you. This is a review fo BOTH take out and dine-in: Take out(3/5): usually takes more than an hour and half to get food and their price is not consistent. I called in after I checked the price at Grubhub but they charged me more after I got food because apparently they didn't update their price on Grubhub. The food was good but my group was so confused because of it. Dine-in(4/5): their drunken noodle is better than any Thai restaurant in Binghamton and I highley recommend getting it from here. I also love their Thai curry. They serve food pretty quickly if you dine in and give good portion that can fill you up for the whole day. Endicott's little far for people from downtown or Vestal but still worth visiting the restaurant. Thai tea taste as same as any other Thai reataurants. read more

So, definitely do not come here if you're expecting a good ambiance because it is far far far from that. The inside reminds me of your break room at work that hasn't been renovated in 25 years, has an old coffee machine that probably works if you turned it on but nobody in the office would dare to use because nobody has a clue of when the last time it was cleaned was, if you open the drawers you'll find old plastic utensils not in the plastic so again, nobody uses them because they don't know how long they've been in there for. You get the picture right? Cold, white walls, ugly tables, one frame on the wall, no decor, nothing that makes it feel like you're in a restaurant other than a server bringing you food. With that being said, the service and the food was quite tasty, and the reason for the 4 stars is the cost. We came in around 830 on a Sunday evening and there was one other couple in the place just finishing up their meal. We were seated in a booth and menus given to us shortly after. Their menu was your standard Thai menu, maybe a little bit smaller than menus I've seen in the past but it had your appetizers, soups, salads, curry dishes, noodles, fried rice and stir fry options. We started with a summer roll, chicken satay and steamed dumplings. Less than 5 or 6 minutes after ordering the appetizers were brought out to our table, great presentation. The summer rolls consisted of shrimp, lettuce, carrot, mint with a hoisin sauce. The rolls were fresh but too much lettuce, not enough shrimp was kind of like just eating a rolled ball of lettuce. Two came in the order. The chicken satay was awesome. The chicken tasted super fresh and it came with three skewers, had great seasoning, so juicy and tender and we really enjoyed the peanut dipping sauce it came with. They were also piping hot when they came to the table. The steamed dumplings were wild. They were presented in such a way we had never seen, came with four and the flavor was INSANE. So delicious we couldn't really identify what we were eating but the flavors going on inside those dumplings were amazing. They were made with a combination of chicken, crab and bamboo served with a black bean dipping sauce. Super different, highly recommend. We went with the exact same entrees; the pad nam prik prow, which was a stir fry dish consisting of chili paste, cashews, onion, scallions and bell peppers. We added chicken to our dish and broccoli as well. I specifically asked for brown rice instead of jasmine and also asked for no added salt. The dishes came out shortly after finishing appetizers. My dish was good but it could have been better. It needed more sauce, it was a little bit bland, which is probably my own fault for asking for no added salt. The chicken was interesting, it had a bit of a crisp to it so it made me think the chicken was flash fried, but I'm not certain. The broccoli was a necessary addition because it gave substance to the dish, it needed a little something extra. The brown rice was cooked to perfection and it's easy to mess up brown rice so I appreciated that. Like I said, it was okay but it could have been better. The bill for all of that food came to $39 so we thought that was a more than reasonable price and we left full. The service was good, food was tasty the space itself is just so blah. Very good food here! The summer rolls were excellent with a nice peanut dipping sauce, and my tofu red curry was fantastic. Others in my party ordered sesame chicken (chunks), teriyaki chicken (which is a piece of chicken breast, not fried, which was unexpected), and drunken noodles with veggies. Everyone was happy with the portions, quality, and presentation of the food. The restaurant is not very fancy, but the food is great. The employees were friendly and welcoming and the bathroom was clean. I definitely will be back, and I recommend it highly! I look forward to trying other menu items next time! read more

For whatever reason, there are quite a few Thai restaurants (6 that comes to mind) in the tri-cities area. Thai on main is one of the newest. It occupies the old Moon Star location. Then location has been completely renovated, everything is new and bright - a very inviting place to dine in. They have the standard selection of Thai items with the addition of a few items such as papaya salad that you don't see everyday. Presentation of the dishes are wonderful, food always comes out looking beautiful, fresh and inciting. The flavors are very good as well, powerful and pungent as Thai food should be. Service is also top notch, servers are quick and attentive. Only downside is their prices seem a tad high for what you get but not completely out of line with other Thai places, just on the higher end. (i.e.. You can can get dinner at other Thai places for the price you pay for lunch here). Lunch is $7 and you get a small soup or salad with it. Dinner starts at $10. I would definitely stop by if in the area as I think this is the best Thai place in Endwell/Endicott. You won't be disappointed. read more

I LOVEEE Thai food and I think that Thai on Main is the best place to go to for real Thai food! I've always been to Thai Time and Thai Thai, but I was never really satisfied. But this place is on point and I enjoyed it so much I decided to write my first review ever. I came here with a friend for lunch. The lunch special comes with either a salad or broth soup with some veggies in it. I had the salad. I expected it to taste like an average side salad other restaurants give. When I took a bite, I was very surprised by their dressing. I think they make their own special dressing with a Thai mix to it. It tasted so fresh and had a lot of flavors to it. I also had some curry puffs as our appetizer and it was DELICIOUS. Perfectly crisp on the outside and so soft inside. Probably one of the best curry puffs I've ever had. Way better than Thai Time in my opinion. It was fresh and didn't taste like it was microwaved. Even the pad thai was better than any other Thai restaurant in the Binghamton area. Very authentic. The peanut flavor wasn't overwhelming the entire dish; it was just right. One little complaint I would have is that it was a tinyyy bit too salty for my liking, but it wasn't a big deal at all. Still enjoyed my pad thai overall. Our food was brought to us very quickly. Waters were refilled all the time without us asking for more. They do have chopsticks available, you just have to ask for some. Overall, service was fine. Price was very good & reasonable. $7 lunch. Even the Thai iced tea was really good and costed $1.75 which is almost half the price most other Thai places. I'm not even a fan of Thai iced tea but it was so sweet and pleasant. This place is such a gem. Only 10 minutes away from campus. It's clean, quiet, and mostly empty with maybe just one other party at another table. After my first visit, I decided it would be a nice place to have dinner after graduation with my family. Made a reservation for next week and can't wait to come back again! read more

This has become my Thai takeout place since my lunch hours changed, and the restaurant I was going to has hours that don't work with my lunch. Great lunch specials, with decent sized portions. I especially love their currys. Plus they can adjust the spice level to whatever works for your comfort level. With that in mind, I will say this: when you order their food at the highest spice level, they aren't kidding when they say it is SPICY. Stopped in for lunch while in the area based on the reviews. Décor and ambiance were not the greatest as the place could use a makeover. Service was also a bit spotty as my pad thai lunch special came out 5 minutes before my guests chicken teriyaki. The pad thai itself was decent but not great. It came with 5 slightly overcooked shrimp and a good deal of modestly flavored noodles. I ended up putting some chili sauce on them to add more flavor. My guest said his chicken was good. In the spirit of accuracy and unbiased fairness, I've got to split this review into two phases: ordering and execution. Ordering: 1/10 I ordered a take-out order on a Saturday night around 7:45. I called the place- and spoke to a very inept person on the other line. After repeating my order several times, including spelling a pretty common menu item to him, I asked him to read the order back to me. He told me he had written it on his arm and was struggling to read it back. Then he hung up without so much as a total, estimated time for pick up, not to mention a thank you or literally any form of customer service at all. Flummoxed, I called back and got the guys name (omitted, read on, you'll see why) and also gave him my name (he hadn't asked for any name or number at all) and he quoted me for ten-fifteen minutes (wrong) Execution: Picking up the food lent me a pretty great look into the atmosphere of this place. This hole-in-the wall Thai place looks like the perfect place to grab some pad Thai on a second or fourth date, when one doesn't need to go formal, but still wants some good food. Once I got to the restaurant, a manager came out, reviewed my order with me, and in twenty minutes served me my food to-go. I asked him about the aforementioned person on the phone and he told me it was the employee's second day and that he was still learning the basics. I told him what had happened on the phone, but also that I understood completely and was still looking forward to my meal. I hope their phone service gets better because the food was a Solid 6.5/10, which is pretty high for what you would expect from this area. read more

This was a great place to stop. The insides are very simple not much decor. But very clean. The menu was very extensive. Everything looked so go. And the prices are way below what I expected. My soup and larb salad were amazing. Probably the best larb salad I've ever had. My husband had pad Thai. The portion was huge. He loved the flavor. The only issue was that the service was really really slow. We also were not able to get our drinks refilled. I am more than willing to go back again regardless the food was delicious. read more
