This is a high end fusion thai restaurant. Think thai food meets steak house meets Indian food with a touch of nepali/Tibetan as well. The restaurant is stunning. The food was delicious. However for the thai enthusiast who grew up eating thai food in thai neighborhoods (think Elmhurst in Queens), it left me wanting more authenticity. If you're looking for a fancy thai restaurant for a nice dinner, definitely come here. If you're craving authentic thai food, I would go elsewhere.

Stopped by here to pick up some take-out on a Sunday night. My favorite Thai dish is pad see ew so I opted to try theirs with beef. It was just how I always like it: wide chewy rice noodles, broccoli, well cooked meat, all in a savory and sweet soy sauce. I really liked their preparation of the dish and it was a generous portion as well.

Still takeout only as of July 2022. We ordered online and it was ready at the estimated time. I asked for no utensils or straw in the instructions and they followed it, and I messed up while placing the first order and had to make another to add an item, and they also followed the instruction I left on the second order to package the two together. I had the Eggplant Basil Tofu and a Thai Iced Tea and it hit the spot. The tea was good, just sweet enough and with an authentic flavour. The entrée was very flavourful. There was a little bit of spiciness but the main flavour was the herbal basil. The portion size was just right, with big pieces of tofu and eggplant. You can replace the default jasmine rice for most entrees with another side (for $1.80 extra); I was really craving noodles so I got the steamed noodles. They were a little sticky coming out of the takeout container but they loosened right up with some sauce. The others I ordered with also enjoyed their food and we all agreed it's a place we'd go back to.

Well, what a difference a year or two makes... Not sure if the ownership changed but Thai on Main once absolutely wowed us and this visit, simply disappointed. While the food appeared to be pleasant, gone were the intense flavors and diverse veggies in the curry. The green curry that I once wrote about now housed a blend of carrot, broccoli, mushroom and bamboo shoots. The sauce so thin that it was challenging to eat off of a plate, yet no bowls were provided and we had to request some spoons. We left the entire dish of sauce instead of treating it like a prized treat. Even the papaya salad was mundane. Service a bit frazzled, water not refilled. Just sadly, a whole different experience.

Curry Puffs: Very delicate, soft, savory and light pastry. Highly recommend trying. Glass Vermicelli: Noodles were soft. Flavored well but not overwhelming. A touch of sweetness under the umami. Udon Basil: Nice amount of tomato flavor. Subtle hint of basil. Very delicious. Royal Tom Yum: if you aren't used to the aroma of regular Tom Yum, this soup is the one for you. Very umami, sweet and tart. Great service. Tasty food. Quality stuff. Thai on main surprised me.

This is a review fo BOTH take out and dine-in: Take out(3/5): usually takes more than an hour and half to get food and their price is not consistent. I called in after I checked the price at Grubhub but they charged me more after I got food because apparently they didn't update their price on Grubhub. The food was good but my group was so confused because of it. Dine-in(4/5): their drunken noodle is better than any Thai restaurant in Binghamton and I highley recommend getting it from here. I also love their Thai curry. They serve food pretty quickly if you dine in and give good portion that can fill you up for the whole day. Endicott's little far for people from downtown or Vestal but still worth visiting the restaurant. Thai tea taste as same as any other Thai reataurants.

So, definitely do not come here if you're expecting a good ambiance because it is far far far from that. The inside reminds me of your break room at work that hasn't been renovated in 25 years, has an old coffee machine that probably works if you turned it on but nobody in the office would dare to use because nobody has a clue of when the last time it was cleaned was, if you open the drawers you'll find old plastic utensils not in the plastic so again, nobody uses them because they don't know how long they've been in there for. You get the picture right? Cold, white walls, ugly tables, one frame on the wall, no decor, nothing that makes it feel like you're in a restaurant other than a server bringing you food. With that being said, the service and the food was quite tasty, and the reason for the 4 stars is the cost. We came in around 830 on a Sunday evening and there was one other couple in the place just finishing up their meal. We were seated in a booth and menus given to us shortly after. Their menu was your standard Thai menu, maybe a little bit smaller than menus I've seen in the past but it had your appetizers, soups, salads, curry dishes, noodles, fried rice and stir fry options. We started with a summer roll, chicken satay and steamed dumplings. Less than 5 or 6 minutes after ordering the appetizers were brought out to our table, great presentation. The summer rolls consisted of shrimp, lettuce, carrot, mint with a hoisin sauce. The rolls were fresh but too much lettuce, not enough shrimp was kind of like just eating a rolled ball of lettuce. Two came in the order. The chicken satay was awesome. The chicken tasted super fresh and it came with three skewers, had great seasoning, so juicy and tender and we really enjoyed the peanut dipping sauce it came with. They were also piping hot when they came to the table. The steamed dumplings were wild. They were presented in such a way we had never seen, came with four and the flavor was INSANE. So delicious we couldn't really identify what we were eating but the flavors going on inside those dumplings were amazing. They were made with a combination of chicken, crab and bamboo served with a black bean dipping sauce. Super different, highly recommend. We went with the exact same entrees; the pad nam prik prow, which was a stir fry dish consisting of chili paste, cashews, onion, scallions and bell peppers. We added chicken to our dish and broccoli as well. I specifically asked for brown rice instead of jasmine and also asked for no added salt. The dishes came out shortly after finishing appetizers. My dish was good but it could have been better. It needed more sauce, it was a little bit bland, which is probably my own fault for asking for no added salt. The chicken was interesting, it had a bit of a crisp to it so it made me think the chicken was flash fried, but I'm not certain. The broccoli was a necessary addition because it gave substance to the dish, it needed a little something extra. The brown rice was cooked to perfection and it's easy to mess up brown rice so I appreciated that. Like I said, it was okay but it could have been better. The bill for all of that food came to $39 so we thought that was a more than reasonable price and we left full. The service was good, food was tasty the space itself is just so blah. It needs some color on the walls with some decoration, nicer tables, you'll see.

Perhaps you can reach out to Pat at Thai Thai restaurant on upper court Street in Binghamton and get her peanut sauce recipe? It is superior to any we've had. The grilled shrimp appetizer wasn't grilled but appeared to be done on a flat top. Cooked, not grilled. My Pad Thai was different than any I've had. Rice noodles were thinner and would stuck together making it difficult to eat. More like long thin rice spaghetti that needs a knife to eat. I found I was grabbing up globs of noodles without a knife. Chicken in the dish was ground having a different take on any others I've had. I liked it. Would be nice to have a spice rack when seated so we could add more spice rather than having to choose 1-5 and hope for the best. For the price they should give you extra napkins without asking and ice water when you sit down. I've never had Pad Thai as good as at the Thai Thai restaurant I mentioned earlier in Binghamton. I hope you reach out to Pat and get her recipe for that as well. It's the best! I always get chicken and shrimp Pad Thai there and it's the best we ever had. Delicious! As far as ambiance at the taste of thai, the place has none. Only a ladies room at the entrance, men's room closed. We'll go again in a month and hope they take our advice.

We started by sharing the spring rolls, which were very fresh and as a bonus did not fall apart as fresh spring rolls can be prone to. I had the wonton pad Thai for my entree, which I was drawn to because I'd never tried it or even seen it on a menu anywhere else. The wontons were crispy and lightly filled with a cream cheese mixture. They were delicious in the sauce, which was bursting with flavour! I was debating whether I should get spice level 3 or 4 (out of 5) and decided on 3 to be safe, but I was pleasantly surprised by how spicy 3 was. There were plenty of vegetables to balance out the fried tofu and wontons. I really recommend this if you want to try an interesting spin on pad Thai. I also tried my parents' lad na and spicy basil stir fry. Those were both delicious too. We shared a chocolate lava cake for dessert, which was obviously not Thai, but we're all lava cake fans. The lava cake was just a standard issue lava cake and didn't blow me away, but it was still very good and a nice ending for our meal. Their Thai iced tea was also great! They have a smaller and more focused menu than a lot of American Thai restaurants that try to serve everything, but there's still quite a few choices. Most entrees can be made with your choice of protein, so there seems to be lots of vegetarian options, but they aren't marked as such on the menu, so I would always recommend checking to make sure dishes are vegetarian/vegan if that's a requirement for you. Gluten-containing dishes are also marked on the menu. The entrees were the perfect size for a satisfying but not oversized meal. I debated taking off a star because the service was slow, I think because they got hit by a rush of takeout orders, but the rest of the experience made up for it. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and our food was hot and fresh when it came to the table. I order a Hot tea, the Sashimi lunch special which came with a Miso Soup & side of Rice as well as the Treasure Island appetizer to sample some of their more unique dishes. The Miso Soup was both warm and flavorful. The Treasure Island app was an interesting blend of sweet savory and fat flavors with fresh Mango, Avocado, Tobiko, Ponzu and diced fish's but it was unfortunately all just overtaken by the heavy Mayo and tempura flakes. The Sashimi lunch was presented fairly but the quality of the fish was sub par to say. All of the previous frozen variety and using Izumidai "tilapia" in place of Red Snapper. Overall it certainly was not the greatest Sushi dining experience for me personally and I would pass on the next opportunity to visit. That being said there seems to be very limited Sushi dining opinion this area and it was fairly reasonably priced 2 course lunch. 3.9/10 Very friendly staff, lower quality ingredients.
