I was stressing how I would host 40 people for my wife's 50th birthday and still be able to enjoy the time with our guests and my wife. The answer came when we were invited to a private event at the Pheasant Tail a couple of months ago. I knew right away this was the way to go. The space was perfect and Craig and his team were so accommodating that there was no doubt this was where we would celebrate this important milestone. Craig worked with me to determine the buffet menu and the price and he took care of the rest. He even took care of a special request for dessert for my sister who was also celebrating her birthday. When we arrived the food was ready to go and Adam manned the bar. Everything went perfectly and when it was all over the team made sure all of the food that was leftover was packed up in trays and boxes for us to take with us. Our guests raved about the food but it was how easy and convenient Craig made the whole experience that I am most grateful for. Been there a few times. Just ok. Last time there was just a huge disappointment. Ordered the rid special. I got 4 ribs and bad mash potatoes and gravy served barely warm. For $20. The other food coming out of the kitchen didn't look that much better. If I eat there in the future I'm just going to get a burger. Skip anything that is just a little special. Soups and burgers. Staff was ok but new and learning the ropes. read more

Pheasant tail is nice to have in deposit since there aren't many other options for a sit-down restaurant. The food is good, the space is sizable and can fit quite a large amount of people. The employees have all been nice and there isn't anything bad about it aside from the menu diversity. Came here this past Saturday and enjoyed our meal. We had the poutine which was good. Fries were still nice and crispy under the gravy and cheese. Gooey yumminess! For my entree I had the shrimp po boy which was tasty. Hubby had French onion soup and chicken blt both of which he said were good. The wait staff were very attentive. Our only complaint was that the kitchen seemed slow. Maybe they're short staffed back there? Also my husband ordered onion rings but got fries. It took so long for the food to come out that he didn't bother asking for them. All in all it was a good meal. read more

I read reviews and expected very slow service. It was terribly slow!!! I believe it was the young waitress's first night. She was a sweet girl but was not trained at all. I had the special-prime rib- and it was really good! The chef did a great job on my meal. My husband had vodka penne with shrimp. The shrimp was slightly undercooked. The sauce was tasty. I would rate this restaurant higher but the waitress really needs to shadow the older waitress to gain knowledge and expertise. Also, need to cook the shrimp so it is not served undercooked. We had dinner here last Sunday. The restaurant atmosphere is very nice and bright and their wait staff were wonderful and attentive and the food we all bought something different but we really enjoyed all of our meals and I will be returning. read more

Nicely decorated new restaurant. Stopped in for lunch. It was quiet, service was friendly and good. We ordered sandwiches and they were delicious. Plenty of TVs for watching sports. Next trip to Deposit we will try it for dinner. read more

I went to pheasant tail on a Friday and they were surprisingly busy. I was concerned my family of 7 would not get great service but boy was I wrong. The service was great and so was the food. I got the shrimp scampi and my life partner got the salmon. Highly recommend. The atmosphere was very comforting and my kids loved the decor on the walls. Six stars. Will be back for sure read more

Expected better than canned sausage gravy . Save your money. They did a beautiful job decor wise but it's just another spot to cater to the fisherman. They obviously don't care if the food is good or not because the people they want to cater to will come even if it's bad. read more

My family and I happened upon this place. Love the decor, decent craft beer, and good food.

I'd like to give it 5 stars but they disappointed me upon arrival. I called the evening before to make a reservation. Was asked what kind of seating I desired. I asked for booth seating. When I walked in and all but one booth was taken and that booth had a reserved sign. I was sure it was for us until I was told otherwise. And although we were there and the other party wasn't yet we were turned away and seated at a very uncomfortable high top table. Then we became invisible for about 15 minutes. We were ready to walk out when our waitress (who, by the way made everything else seem irrevalnt because she was so nice and then attentive) our drinks were good and the food was much to our surprise....excellent! I'm not sure if we'll ever go back. I always like to give second chances and the food was really good. But I'm hoping if I make a reservation next time it will be honored. read more
