A local favorite basing on review's so we made sure to swing by during our visit of the town. Brewery is always on our list whenever we do an out of town trip. Though lately, my husband and I are trying to avoid alcoholic drinks due to health reason, just enjoying the vibes make us happy. Complimentary popcorn gave a good head start. Our mocktails ( blueberrry lemonade) hit a spot , no alcohol but the taste is satisfying. Our garlic Parmesan chicken wings and fries which were sumptuous by the way are beyond our expectations. We came on a midafternoon weekday visit but heard they offer music during weekend nights. I assumed that the place is packed with guests who is wanting some fun times. Decor is cool. My husband and I found this gem while visiting Catskills and we were in for a treat! We were able to bring our pups inside as they are dog-friendly. We made this stop right after hiking and the beers just hit the spot. I had the Streamside Pilsner and I fell in love. My husband also enjoyed his Eagle IPA. The beers were smooth, not too hoppy, rich, and high- quality. We also shared the brisket poutine that came with fries, brisket, and cheese curds. We enjoyed that as well but thought it could use a little less salt. Overall, the service here was great and everyone was so friendly! The vibe is super cozy and relaxed. I am still not allowed to have any alcoholic beverage, but my wife and I are so used to visiting and eating at a brewery when having a weekend escape. Roscoe Beer Co. was the closest brewery restaurant from the place that we were staying, so we went there. The place looks cool outside, they have an outdoor seating at the back. I love that they have a great indoor atmosphere, a nice, cool place, and family-friendly. Wooden tables and chairs all over the place with interesting decor, very homey and cozy. There is a fish tank after the entrance door which has a trout in it. We chose to be seated at one of the tall tables, setting was noticeably casual. Upon looking at the menu, I noticed they have a limited beer selection, offering mostly their house brews. Good wide food selections and bar snacks. We opted to have poutine French fries, garlic Parmesan wings (bone-in), Diet Coke and a blueberry lemonade. We ordered and paid at the bar cashier and was given a pager to notify us when food is ready. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming to customers. They offer free self-serve popcorn while waiting for the orders. Then pager went buzzing so I went to get our food at their designated food pick-up corner. Food plating for the French fries was not great as oil and sauce were spilling on the floor while I walk towards our table. The food taste great but a little too oily for me. Fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, chicken wings were of medium sized and has a juicy tender meat inside. Both are really tasty, flavorful and well seasoned. My wife and I have enjoyed and were satisfied with our experience at this joint, I just regret that I was unable to taste their house brews because I've heard that they taste well. Roscoe Beer Company is a hidden gem off route 17 in, you guessed it, Roscoe, NY. I've been here a handful of times starting back in 2016. Many taps of their own beer, beer to go, great food, and a unique ambiance. I recommend the American Amber Ale, a classic that never disappoints. If you can't decide, they offer flights. The food is phenomenal and very filling. We tried the fries and chicken bites. Some of the best we've had anywhere. Swag is on point, so don't forget to grab a shirt, hat, or glass before you leave. A nice change of pace when a brewery serves real food (and it was decent too)! However, immediately when walking in, you're hit with the weirdest scent that permeates seemingly everything. Someone in our group said it is related to the hops, which I sure hope it is because it smells like a pet store! They had a really nice live singer and set aside a separate area for a large group and some cool merch. Unfortunately, we tried a bunch of their beers and only liked two of them and only one of them enough to order a full glass to share (the fruited wheat which tasted like a sour the end). I likely won't be in the area again, but if I am, I would see if they have anything else new on tap! read more

I stopped in on Sunday to grab a 4 pack of their brown ale to go. Hints of chocolate and coffee - with a malty mouthfeel. Delicious. The nice folks working the bar will give you a taste if you have a hard time deciding. They have an outdoor area in addition to their indoor space. I think they were setting up for music at that time. We may very well come back to take advantage of the outdoor space if we ever make it back to this part of the catskills. read more

If I could give it a zero I would the place was dead on a Friday night I should have taken that as a clue all the tables were dirty and when we mentioned it to the staff we were handed a rag to clean it ourselves we sat next to a fish tank that had MOLD floating in it and smelt so bad we had to move when the food came everything was burnt burger was a hockey puck not even eatable as a chief you saw that it was burnt why serve that?? Came in around 430 on a Sunday and we were the only ones there. Bar tender was very nice. Overall the place is very cute, feels like a fishing lodge or something. Tons of places to sit and games scattered around at almost each table. We love connect four and we're happy to see they had that. I tried the bozzy water and that was interesting it tasted like a flavored water and my husband got a few beers and liked those. They do have food but we didn't try any during our visit. Stopped at Roscoe Beer Company this summer. There were multiple options of drinks to choose from including light and dark beers, seltzers and even "boozy water". I got a flight to try a few and was not disappointed. You can enjoy your drinks inside where you can shop their merch in their small shop and watch them bottle their beer or you can drink outside where they have picnic tables and great views. We visited Roscoe Beer on a weekend in the Catskills with friends, and we enjoyed ourselves! Despite the snowy day, we trekked our way out and easily found the spot. We were surprised to learn their wifi was out, which made for difficulties in paying, etc. The space is pretty big, and luckily we snagged the table that was reserved for large groups. The vibe is very cool - very cabin-y and cozy, perfect for the area. I did notice a 20% off merch coupon when you checked in on Yelp, which I brought up to the employees; they looked at me like I had 3 heads, but they ultimately accepted it (once I got the internet to work for a minute). After that, they redeemed themselves with giving good recs on beers but I was surprised when the sole employee later in the evening left the brewery to take a smoke break - that left a poor taste in my mouth (even though he asked for our permission). But anyway, the actual beer and food! They had a few flight options, which my husband opted for and enjoyed trying a bunch of options. I went for 2 separate pours - the first being the Red, Wit, and Blue, which was crisp and refreshing, and the second being the Vaccine-19, stronger than #1 but a nice, full-bodied IPA. Both were tasty, although probably not in the tops of all the beers I've had. Food was fairly standard - I got the caprese sandwich, which hit the spot but was nothing to write home about. My husband got the reuben, which he enjoyed but had the same sentiments about. The rest of our crew enjoyed their beer and food, and we really enjoyed all being able to sit together and enjoy some brews in a really cool spot. I would definitely make it back to Roscoe Beer to try some other seasonal beers and some of their other food items. Hopefully next time they have wifi working! read more

This place was so fun! I came here on a Saturday and there was a live band playing. The place was packed and the band was good! It sounded like they definitely had some dedicated fans! The ambiance here was pretty cool. The layout was fun too - there were couches in the back, a bar area to the side and on the other side of the brewery, there was a space for the band to play and tables and chairs around there. I loved the beer here! I didn't try the food here but would like to next time I'm here. I'd come back here again! read more

Worth a stop if you're in the area and looking for a chill place to hang out one afternoon! Grab some beer and a couple snacks and listen to the live music (we came on a Saturday around 2pm). There was quite a crowd by 2:30, so much so that there was a long line of people waiting to order at the bar, but we got lucky having gotten there a bit earlier to grab a table and put our order in. It's a decently big space with lots of high tops and tables, but it seems to be *the* spot to go in Roscoe so I'd expect a crowd. The fish tacos were very tasty, and the pretzels were solid, especially with the queso and brown mustard! The sandwiches seemed to be a go-to for the local crowd. The beers were okay. I like the Raging Bear Stout and the Posted Pale Ale, but wasn't a big fan of the others I tried. That said, it's a fun place to try out a few beers. read more

Super cool spot, especially if you're looking for something to do in this strange little town. The beer selection has enough to please any taste bud, and the music/entertainment is really cool. There was a band when we were there and they were awesome. The only reason I take a star away is cause they can really improve on the food. We got fries and wings. The fries were nearly burnt (which normally is totally fine because I love my fries like that) but they stuck to the paper that they were cooked on so unless you want to chew some paper, you can't eat a lot of them. Stopped in on Saturday, July 6. They were having a 4th of July celebration. This was our first visit. Would give their beers a solid 5. Tried the Two Headed Stout, Rainbow Red, Two Rivers IPA, and Nighty Night New England. All very interesting and a bit different. Was particularly pleased with the New England, which was a black! We also had salads. One with chicken. Very good. Nice that they provide free popcorn. We ate outside. Would have liked to be in to enjoy the atmosphere. But, the band was far too loud. Not bad. Just didn't need to be playing at a volume more appropriate for a stadium than a small, crowded room. One other negative that is not the Brewery's fault. Why do people feel that it is okay to put their dogs up on a table where people are going to eat to get a cute picture? Would try it again on a quieter day if we were passing through. read more

I love roscoe and I really dig the beer company too. They have changed it up a bit inside since the last time I was here but it's even better! They now have some killer tasty looking bar food and expanded their beer selection. I loved both the sour and cider! More seating inside and some cozy sofas. Dog friendly is where it's at too!! Met two cool puppers! Bathrooms were clean and space was too. Only one bartender behind the taps so it made getting beer and checking out quite a long process but it wasn't too big of a deal. I finally got the chance to stop here on my way through back to Connecticut. What a great little gem. First off, I went to park and there was a sign for an EV charging station in their lot. I feel like that alone deserves extra points. The place is like a super cool lodge. There were plenty of tables and a few couches near a nice fireplace too. Nice and cozy. There was also live music when I was there on Sunday afternoon. I could not have found a better place for a halfway stop. I sipped some beer, listened to the really great band, and watched some football. I was quite impressed with the variety of beers they had. There was a stout, a porter, a gose, and a variety of lagers, IPAs, and more. They had 12 on tap at the bar and there were another 4 (all different) on tap on a side wall that you could pour from if you were a part of their club. Their flights come as a choose 4. The 4 I had were really good. I was pretty impressed. Most places I have been to do not have stouts or porters and they not only had one of each, but they were both pretty tasty to boot. Cheers to that! If you want to take and share wealth, they did have growlers and some cans available. There was also popcorn and food too! There is a small kitchen that offered wings, fries, and some hot sandwiches. Everything you could possibly want in one spot for a nice afternoon. Stopped at Roscoe Beer Company on Sunday afternoon. A relatively simple beer list, but with solid food and a nice outdoor space, not a bad spot to find yourself on a casual afternoon. Quality: Roscoe Beer Company has a pretty basic beer list. The majority of their beers are just classic styles without too much pageantry. It is beers made for after you hike, hunt, or fish. During our visit we tried the Vaccine 19, a NE IPA, the Red Wit & Blue, a fruited wheat ale, and the Brown Ale. All perfectly fine beers, but none requiring a detour. A great thing about the brewery is their kitchen, which had all sorts of excellent snacks. We ordered the heavy Garlic Parm Truffle Fries, which were fantastic. Though, it didn't look like you could go wrong with their food menu. Quantity: The pours were fine, even though I did not love the plastic cups. The Fries were more than enough for two to share. Value: $6-$8 for a Draft Pour. $11 for Garlic Parm Truffle Fries. Ambiance: Roscoe Beer Company is located in the small upstate town of Roscoe. It felt like a good place to stop for a bite and a drink between the Finger Lakes and the City. The inside of the taproom is decked out with hunting and fishing gear. They have a bunch of tables as well as several televisions showing football and car racing. Outside they have a big patio area, which includes a large tent. This was the more popular area as they had live music even with light rain falling. Expect to find kids and dogs running around and playing lawn games. Crowd: A decent crowd on Sunday afternoon. With live music outside and football inside, folks had multiple options to enjoy the day. It was also a big draw for children and dogs, which seemed to be part of every group. Service: They were not very efficient in their setup. Even though there was not a huge crowd, there was always a long line. The fact that the bartenders needed to run over to the kitchen for every order slowed things down as well as constant issues with several of the taps. Roscoe Beer Company was a really pleasant surprise. We had been looking for a place to stop for lunch in the middle of a long 6 hour drive, and initially thought of the Roscoe Diner, but we couldn't pass up the opportunity to check out a new brewery! The decor is so different than your average brewery - it looks and feels like a cozy lodge. Complete with a working fireplace! It even has a fish tank and all sorts of greenery/various outdoor items on the ceiling and just all over. They paid serious attention to theming - even the flight of beers came in a fish-shaped tray! The atmosphere is definitely an A+ from me. I liked the idea of having a limited grilled cheese menu - even when the focus is on the beer, it's always a plus to offer some sort of food option. Unfortunately for me though, the grilled cheeses just weren't satisfying. They were too cheesy and greasy, and I prefer a better balance of cheese and bread. We had planned on "cutting" some of this anticipated cheesiness with the Fiesta Leaf Bowl, but it was unavailable. The kettle chips that came with the grilled cheese were a plus, as was the free popcorn! We didn't try much of the beer, as this was a pitstop on a long drive, but they were good. Not memorable, though. All in all, I think Roscoe Beer Company is a super cozy, laidback place to hang out with friends for a while and it's worth a visit if you're in the area. read more

First time visiting this weekend for their summerfest. Friendly staff! After tastings few beers I really liked their summer blonde, I'm definitely a light beer drinker, however, when I tasted the stout my taste buds came to life! Wow! Soooooo tasty that I had 2. The also had cool vendors from henna tattoos, jewelry, honey, but I do wish they had more food variety, I'm also still not complaining...good variety. Live band was Hillbillie Parade, and they were phenomenal, and I'm not into country music at all. Food is decent although a bit overpriced for what you get especially since you have to order food in order to have a beer thanks to NY's moron of a governor. The beers were all good and fairly priced for the quality of the beers. The only real negative is that they haven't figured out to how to be efficient. They should have a separate line for those who are just buying beer after they have their food. Unfortunately a line of eight customers deep takes about 20 minutes until you get your beer or order food. Then it takes at least 20 minutes for the food to be ready. read more

What a fun spot to stop for cold brews, some finger foods and some entertainment. With a trout/redneck theme, I was unsure what to expect from this local brewery on the way home from a Woodstock celebration. But the crowd was chill, a short wait for our food (some fries, boneless wings and a grilled cheese sandwich) and the beer was tasty and affordable. I got a flight, and while I enjoyed all the beers, I like their Amber ale the best. My father enjoyed their brown ale so much, he purchased a growler of it (which he rarely does) . The music duo that performed provided the perfect music for the atmosphere (several Woodstock themed songs too which I appreciated). And the best food item was definitely the boneless wings in a honey garlic sauce, these weren't your typical TGI Friday's boneless wings, they packed a punch with flavor and were tender and delicious. The outside patio area looked inviting and fun too! If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be back to enjoy a refreshing beer (and some of those boneless wings of course!) read more

The food and beer was worth the wait, we felt really bad for the bartender as the group in front of us were really nasty and couldn't understand why they would have to wait on a holiday. The bartender was nice enough to let everyone know the food would be a little bit but we happily got our flights and enjoyed them while waiting and the food was worth the wait, which was not even long! This place is great. Liked the beer and reasonably priced, $5, if I recall. Cool interior decor, convenient parking, comfortable seating. The place is a decent size, seating for about 50 or 60 or so, however it was fairly crowded at 3pm on a Monday, so my only concern is that it might get crowded during peak times.
