Loved this place not a lot of options for a nice bar scene thru a secret book case. You get the idea it's a speakeasy and the cocktails were great and the atmosphere too...we have the Caesar salad and Brussels sprouts which were crispy and the jerk chicken special was great and love portion

Dropped in for a dram!! Nice selection and atmosphere. Service was prompt and friendly. Will need to stop in again next time I am in town.

A close-up of a cooked steak with a dark, seasoned crust and a pink, medium-rare interior is presented on a plate. The steak appears juicy, with a slight sheen from its juices. The background shows a glass of water and a blurred restaurant interior with dim lighting, indicating a fine dining environment.

Finally got back here to try the food. Wound up getting the chef's special filet mignon with carrots after starting off with a caesar salad. WOW! The steak is as good as any other in town, and you can't beat the ambiance and friendly service. It always feels like you are in a different era in here. Can't wait to get back.

Excellent food, great ambiance and service from waiters. Don't feel the extra charge for ice cubes with 205 on them is appropriate considering our meal with drinks was well over two hundred dollars and closer to $300.00 with tip. Had it not been for the ice cube upcharge, I'd give them five stars.

Best whiskey I've had so far - Two men are smiling and posing for a photo in a dimly lit indoor setting, likely a bar or restaurant. One man is holding a bottle of Crown Royal whiskey with a decorative topper, and both are smiling. There are other people visible in the background, seated at tables, with a dark ambiance and warm lighting.

Can't begin to explain how much I love it here, between the amazing food and crafted cocktails, I've been about 4 times in the past few months and just find myself to keep coming back. The staff is absolutely amazing super kind and very knowledgeable about their whiskey selection (which is huge for me). I love the looks inside and out of this place, the menu is great and so is the selection! Staff even came over took a selfie with the whiskey that I had which was awesome extremely friendly and funny 100/10 for service.

As a lover of speakeasies, I was delighted to find this one in my new city of residence. The store front looks like it's a bookstore but behind the bookcase, is one really beautiful place to enjoy some of the finest drinks and food! We were kindly greeted by the hostess and door man. Everyone working at this establishment sort of dresses like they are back in the prohibition era. It's a nice touch. The hostess advised us that they put a two-hour limit on tables. It was packed by the time we left there so we understood why. Loud music plays a mix of old songs and jazzy remakes of pop classics. The food offerings are very casual (handheld sandwiches, fries, burgers). They also had one pasta dish and a filet mignon on the menu. The meat and cheese board was probably the fanciest thing on the menu and it did not disappoint! It was beautifully presented, and generous in portions and variety. The drinks are where this establishment really shines! We got to enjoy some Johnnie Walker Rare Ghost whiskey as well as some of the craft cocktails. Our server Garrett took great care of us. We look forward to returning.

205 Dry In Binghamton. - The image shows a glass door with the text '205 Dry' and decorative scrolls, serving as the entrance to a business. The reflection on the glass reveals a bookshelf filled with books and a tiled floor inside the space. The door frame is painted green, and there is a brass door handle and lock on the left side.

This place looks so cool! Walking around Binghamton I discovered this speakeasy/club/bar. I have to visit when it's open. Check it out!

Deliciousness - A man with dark hair and a beard is sitting at a restaurant table, holding a piece of food. The table has a salad, a skillet dish, chips, and drinks including a cocktail and a pitcher of water. The background shows other diners, bookshelves, chandeliers, and a warm, decorated interior.

We had so much fun at this place! Right after I read about it on line, it was recommended by a construction worker at the Binghamton Airport, my Uber driver, then the nail tech at Tommy Nails- all within a couple of hours of each other. I'm from Milwaukee, so I don't know the area that well. My boyfriend was impressed with my investigative skills b/c this is his town and he had no idea about this place. We had such a great date night here, every single thing was delicious, the cocktails were awesome and we cannot wait to go back! In the year and half we've been together, this was our favorite meal so far! It doesn't matter if you have no room for dessert- get it anyway! Share one! Great job, guys!!!

I really enjoyed Bar Argos. My girlfriend and I wandered in right at 4 pm - opening time lol - and…read morewere immediately greeted by a woman who checked our IDs and handed us menus with quiet efficiency. The place was totally empty, which is to expected at that time. Bar Argos is definitely a vibe. Think: antique chic with a touch of eccentric elegance. Ornate chairs, old-school lamps, and fancy mismatched furniture are scattered throughout, making you feel like you've wandered into a vintage movie set where cocktails play a leading role. There are multiple rooms, including one with a long table and huge windows that let the light spill in dramatically. I was lowkey stunned by how pretty it all was. Girlfriend and I shared the Clarified Lassi ($13), which is under the "Delightfully Unusual" section of their cocktail spectrum - right in between "Colloquial" and "What?!" It was fruity, creamy, and weird in a cool, sophisticated way. My Hotelie friend later explained in the car (upon mention of the drink) that clarified cocktails use a process where milk is added to a mixed drink and then curdled on purpose. The curds trap impurities, and when you strain them out, you're left with a crystal-clear drink that still has the creamy mouthfeel. Definitely checks out with the Clarified Lassi that we drank... Overall, the experience felt like stepping into a fancy secret. 10/10 would come back, undoubtedly!!

The most incredible (and only) speakeasy in the Finger Lakes…read more After hours of driving, we knew we needed a cool spot to go to at night for some delicious wine. Of course, the Finger Lakes are KNOWN for wine so we're just thinking we're making reservations for a wine bar (with "speakeasy" vibes). Which that would've been totally cool with us. After continuous back and forth, changing our reservations 50 million times, adding and taking people out, we finally made it to Vinifera on a Friday night and were super apologetic since we had to make yet another change. The staff was absolutely incredible and accommodating, they made sure our party of 10 would be in the same room/table. The only "downfall" was that we'd have to share the room with another small party. Which was absolutely not a problem and we ended up being BFF'S with them by the end of the night. We met the owner Jim - the most incredible human - and he took us down to the speakeasy (which passes right through a super secretive door in the back of the main room upstairs). Side note - the main room upstairs is a vibe on it's own btw and we would've been absolutely fine and happy there. It's an actual wine store and you can purchase all kind of local wines. Be sure to ask and get all the recommendations you want. Not only did we get to enjoy an incredible time but we got a super cool VIP experience and learned the story and so much history about this place, the concept, the origin and what sparked the idea of creating it. That itself, was a treat. On to the actual speakeasy experience. When you go downstairs (through that fun super cool super secretive door) - you're instantly transported to another era, another time. It's dark, it's velvety, chandeliers, spiderwebs (the aesthetic kind, idk if there were actually any but it fit the vibe in my head), Leonardo Da Vinci, Mona Lisa, candles, curtains. There are two super cool rooms, one to the right (which is where our large party sat at) and one to the left - totally recommended for smaller groups, it's cozy, it's chill, you can interact and share with other guests too. Just by this, I'm wowed. As if this wasn't enough, the drinks were absolutely incredible. I ended up ordering some kind of a smoked drink and they happily substituted the regular old fashioned for mezcal. What a dream. Everyone was happy with their drink orders, some ordered some off the menu things and they happily made them - even though they technically only serve what's on the menu. Wine flights are also available if you're in the wine vibe. Bottom line: we loved this place SO much, we came back 2 night's later for our last night. We sat in the other room and absolutely loved and enjoyed it. I had a lavender drink and it was delish. This place is a GEM and you should absolutely check it out and support it if you're in the area. If you're not, well now you have a place I know you'll love to go to!

MIX Kitchen & Bar - Weekend in Cancun!

I've had brunch, lunch, and dinner at MIX, and all with varying levels of enjoyment. My recent…read morebrunch experience included ordering a Where the West Begins omelette, which includes "Braised short rib, butternut squash, red onion jam, spinach, smoked gouda". I wasn't sure how to feel about butternut squash with everything else (I'm not necessarily a huge squash fan - but I'm trying to learn to enjoy it), but the omelette was decent... it's the other side on my plate that looked less than appetizing. The biscuit was still covered in flour (and who wants to bite down on a clump of flour?), the cheddar hashbrown casserole lacked in flavor, and the brown sugar cinnamon oatmeal just... wasn't doin' it for me. Other recent experiences have been similar... there's usually one item on the plate that's flavorful or imventive (sometimes a main dish, sometimes a side), and the other parts of the plate are lacking. In reality, I think MIX is suffering a bit from rising food costs and inconsistency in their service and offerings. They've also changed the style of their menu from the original tapas-style to now being more typical entree options. Again... they've lost some of their innovative, experimental approach. In terms of ambiance, it really depends. I've been here for a work event and, because of the number of people, it was SO LOUD... they had also done a buffet offering for the event. As you can imagine, the food from the buffet was lacking, but that's often what happens when you're more mass producing your food (and it's left in a chafing dish, trying to be kept warm). On the other hand, I've been here for a dinner on a random night and was able to enjoy one of their Thai noodle bowls (and split some other apps with friends). The reality is that experiences at MIX are... well... a mix. Whether service, menu offerings, etc., I've found MIX's recent inconsistencies to be a disappointment. Will probably only visit in the future if it's suggested by others.
