This looks like a bookstore from outside. I love the vibe when you walk in. It actually feels like a speakeasy. You have to open a secret door when you walk inside the lighting the decor is all phenomenal. We did have to have a reservation as the place is completely booked on a Friday night, even the bar was too capacity. We were seated right away as we had reservations, the nice part about the reservations as well as you could text them to get those reservations. We had dinner prior to our reservations, so we didn't get a chance to try the food although the menu that was in a folded binder was lit when it opened a very cool little feature. The drink menu could've been a little bit more extensive for their specialty drinks, however, they had what seemed like hundreds of liquor options for you to make your own or to choose something on the rocks. Our server Nate was excellent, he suggested and recommended different drinks for us, he also brought over a little cheesecake because it was Amanda's birthday this week. Just an outstanding location vibe service experience. All of that. We would highly recommend it and if we're back in Binghamton, we would definitely go. If I lived in Binghamton. This is the place I would bring all of my guests to. Would we go back, absolutely, so much so that we are hoping or would love to see this in our hometown

The space is large, the service is good, the drinks are good, and the food was well above average. Getting inside is way easier than expected, just, pull the very visible door knob. As luck would have it, it was Binghamton Restaurant Week and we attempted a walk in - first available was three+ hours later - but the hostess mentioned we could get the RW menu at the bar and two seats were calling. Lots of choices on the menu but friend and I ended up having the same meal! Cup of Cauliflower, potato and leek soup to start was yummy - very comforting, not too thick, good flavor - I could have stopped here! But fortunately did not! Main was spectacular! Salmon with everything bagel spices served over pearl couscous in a risotto style was inspired (honestly, I will try this at home)! I hope this is a menu regular because I will crave this for many more meals! Add a black Manhattan and this meal is a treat! (Took the dessert course to go - blueberry cronuts were better than chocolate but both likely suffered a wee bit from loss of ambiance and slight steaming that occurred on drive - good for sure but did not compare to the rest of the meal). Shout out to Tommy F for exceptional service - attentive but not intrusive. Ambiance is lovely (the lighting dimmed as we sat - hysterical) but we also scored the most comfortable seats in the house (I hate a high top stool with no back and no padding on the seat - those stools look nice but should go away). Also love the hook under the bar.

I think it was Lauren, she was nice enough but did not go above and beyond for her customers. She did not want to move us to a more comfortable table, despite our requesting multiple times and the place was literally empty. Finally she was able to make it happen but it was already unpleasant. She was good with bringing us hot waters with lemon as requested, but there was zero proactiveness to refill the hot water or any of the iced water. It was like us going out and trying to please the waitstaff. She did make a good suggestion for the lavender gimlet cocktail. Overall disappointing.

Crowbar is officially the best hangout space in Binghamton right now!…read more Nestled in a nook between State St. and Washington St., when you walk in the first thing you see is their incredible display of old LCD TVs circling the bar area, which really sets the tone for the vintage gaming aesthetic. Everything about this place is on-theme, right down to the items on the menu. While the food is definitely bar fare, don't underestimate it; every single one of their offerings is crafted to perfection! My favorites include the Sauer Loser hotdog (mouth-watering combo of sauerkraut and mustard on all beef franks) and the Flamin' Hot Smothered Cheetos (an elevated take on the spicy snack)! As for drinks, they have a fun array of game-themed cocktails and mocktails. Yes, you heard right, mocktails! And they are all incredible. My favorite is the Wowza Bowzer mocktail, which has a little bit of a kick with habanero bitters. The Waka-Waka-Waka cocktail (mule) features a Pac-Man shaped lemon slice eating a cherry, which is a fun touch! But, as we know, we come for the food and stay for the games, so what's available? Well, they have over 30 vintage games ranging from arcade classics like PacMan and Mortal Combat to more interactive favorites like DDR, hoops, and racing games (check out their website for a full listing). Plus, a couple pool tables and a few chill spots in the 2-story location (which includes a few quiet nooks with seating between the floors). While this space is definitely kid-friendly, it is only open to 21+ after 9pm, which provides a great experience for families and night crawlers alike!

The pepperoni pizza was also excellent, with seasoning mixed right into the cheese that took an already great pizza to the next level. That alone deserves five stars. Our outdoor server was incredible. She appeared to be handling both the outdoor dining area and the bar by herself, yet she remained friendly, organized, and efficient throughout the evening. Taking orders and serving a party of 31 is no small task, but everyone had their food within 45 minutes and I don't think there was a single order mistake. We were genuinely impressed. There was plenty of parking, and the outdoor seating area was enjoyable. The picnic tables have definitely seen better days, and one of our umbrellas was broken, but given the unexpected size of our group, we were just grateful to have a place where we could all sit together. The outdoor bar offered a nice selection of drinks as well. As for the food, my chicken fingers were a bit overcooked, and the house-made honey mustard was just okay. A few of the kids mentioned their Shirley Temples didn't taste quite right, and some thought the water had an unusual taste. On the other hand, the salads and tacos looked absolutely picture-perfect and received great feedback. Overall, this was a wonderful experience because of the outstanding customer service. Many restaurants would have turned away an unexpected party of 31 on a busy Saturday night, but The Pour House welcomed us and made it work with professionalism and a positive attitude. Thank you to the hardworking staff for turning a stressful situation into a memorable evening.

I was unaware the restaurant was not a stand alone, but rather in a building with other businesses (not a negative, just something to point out). We ate on a Tuesday, pretty early (5:15 reservation) and were there about an hour and 45 minutes, so if you're in a rush for a meal - this isn't the vibe for you. We didn't mind it, however, as we were not in any kind of time constraint. The restaurant itself isn't overly large; so the tables are all pretty close together. Our meals were very good. We both upgraded our salads that came with our meals; I went with the prime salad and my husband the Ceasar. Both were delicious! For our entrees I ordered the Chilean sea bass and my husband the chicken parm. Both were delicious, however my husband's pasta was a little starchy. The two large chicken cutlets with the soft cheese on top really made up for that though! Our server (Alfredo) was very kind and attentive; offering us Prosecco or Complimentary Dessert for our anniversary! We opted for the espresso cheesecake and it was truly the star of the show! Overall: I'd rate it a 4.5, but couldn't justify a 4 star so I gave it a 5. It's a nice place for a special celebration meal!
