After our first amazing experience - I had to bring my husband. And believe it or not, our experience was probably even better! We ordered tots & their famous chicken tenders to start - and when I tell you they arrived in minutes, I mean minutes. I was shocked how quickly they came out! We got 5 different sliders & they were all equally as delicious. Our favorite part was the PB&J Sour on draft from Upstate - it was so nice to have a sour option, as they are our favorite and we hardly ever find places that offer them! Worst dining experience. Period. To start, our food was not cooked through. The fried pickles still had uncooked batter. My black bean sliders fell apart the minute I picked them up. My friend's burger was completely raw in the middle. Second, our waitress was awful. We had to ask a bartender to find her for us because she was nowhere to be found. (Visited 7/13/2020.) So as we are navigating our way through the pandemic some places are doing better than others. Binghamton, NY is one of those places. They're allowed to have indoor dining and all of that good stuff! So while I'm working here for the week I decided to check this place out. Here's how it went. Atmosphere/Appearance: This place gave me a very, hipster, southern California kind of vibe. There's a giant garage door that can be opened to transform the restaurant into an "outdoor" spot. It's clever. The place isn't very big and it's elongated so once you're in the front door(s) you can see the bar off to the right with some high-top seating in front of it. The bathroom is all the way at the back with some more seating off to the left. It wasn't very busy so it wasn't too loud, but I can see this place gettin' fairly lively! Service: Liam took care of me and he was excellent. He got me everything that I needed and was excellent. Food: So this place is known for its small plates and I love places like that. They feature over 15 different sliders made from beef, to chicken, to shrimp, sushi and of course, non-meat options. They are also well-known for super-huge, super-creative shakes! Lol. While I was then I dabbled with 2 flavors of their wings, the hot and the garlic parmesan. Both flavors were excellent and they truly tasted unique, like nothing I've ever had before. I also was able to stuff in a Dubbel Decker slider, which is 2 stacked CRAFT burgers complete with lettuce, tomato American cheese, Craft sauce and a B&B pickle. I got it without a bun so that it could be a tad bit healthier, but I really enjoyed it. Value: Pretty good if I must say so myself. So the wings are sold by the pound and it's $10.99 per pound. I got about 9 wings in my order and was able to split the order in half so that I can get 2 sauces. My slider was $5.99 since it was in the "specialty sliders" section. In conclusion, I really enjoyed myself here. It was a quick bite, the food was straightforward and the atmosphere was decent. Craft is definitely a classic collegetown place to drink, hangout, and just vibe. The ambiance is definitely great with the string lightbulb lights, outdoor seating, and board games to play. I've come here for restaurant week, and the tater tots are so crispy and delicious. I also went to brunch here and their California egg slider is fresh containing avocado, and their korean pork belly slider is also pretty decent. However, their fish filet slider could be a bit better and the sliders have a much larger bun portion to actual food content in there. What's a trip to craft without a milkshake? I had their Brooklyn Blackout before and if you're a huge chocolate lover then you would definitely like this milkshake. At brunch, I got their Cookies and Cream Milkshake and you can actually spike it too if you're feeling crazy. Overall, I would recommend this place for good times and good food! read more

I've not oft been disappointed in a restaurant, as I was here at Craft. The restaurant appeared clean and was mildly busy seem like it had a decent ambience. After seating ourselves, it took 15+ minutes for a waitress to even greet us, and she just let us know our waitress would be with us shortly. About five more minutes before we were finally able to place our drink order, and since we had plenty of time to peruse the menu, we placed our orders. They're pure to be three or four waitresses for a restaurant that was about a third full, and our food still didn't come until we had been there for 50 minutes. I ordered a Smash Slider and fried Pickles. The smash slider was way undercooked (which is hard to do with such a thin slice of hamburger). I felt as if it had zero seasoning. I ordered the craft slider and the blue monday, tots, the cookies and cream sundae, and a glass of wine for $20. First off, due to how overpacked the restaurant was, it took at least 45 minutes for the food to come, which was less than ideal. When it did arrive, the true star of the show was the tots. The sliders were mediocre and, out of the two, I definitely preferred the craft slider. The dessert was a nice touch, but this dinner was certainly nothing to write home about! Yes, it was yummy and filling, but we waited far too long and the food was not nearly as amazing as it usually is. Horrible experience. There were three people running the restaurant at 4pm and they were swamped. The waitress said that she was the only one taking care of tables. My family and I ordered sliders etc. the wait was very long. I ordered another slider to go to eat later. When I ate the slider that evening, I took a bite and discovered it was completely raw. I've called three times now to discuss this issue and I'm told that only a manger can do a refund and that the manager only works 5 days a week and after 4pm. You know this is a collegetown type of place when the menu is solely available by scanning a QR code on the table. But I found it strange that there's absolutely no non-alcoholic drinks listed anywhere on that menu. I'm usually fine with water anyway, but it just seems like a basic feature that's lacking. As far as the food, it was touch and go. Like another reviewer said, it is a bit like rolling the dice. Nothing was bad, per se, but I found extremes between mindblowingly amazing and "this is all bun" kind of flavor. So let's start with the best. The sushi slider. It's a little messy, so prepare for some fall-out, but the flavor was perfect. The soy marinade on the ahi tuna paired perfectly with the tangy pickled slaw and bun, which was like a fried rice tater tot. Crispy yet creamy and starchy. It was a match made in heaven, and I would happily go there just to order that again. The Unicorn shake was also great. Blended perfectly with a nice creamy strawberry flavor. And all the pizzazz of those stylish overfilled shakes but, thankfully, that top was just whipped cream so it was not a mess at all. We did not try it spiked, but they have those options, too, if you're interested. But do note that some people might consider these shakes a meal in themselves! It's a lot. Now for the "meh"... Basically all other sliders I tried on a bun, which were the Social Slider and the Grilled Shroom Slider. The amount of filling made it so the entire slider was fully overwhelmed by the bun. All I could taste was bun, with a hint of filling. Having tried the sushi one first, these came as a major disappointment. So considering ALL of their sliders except the sushi one has the same normal bun, I'm skeptical that I won't be disappointed coming back to try more. If you're coming here for the milkshakes, craft beer, or the sushi slider, you'll love it. Otherwise, it just seems a bit "meh". If I didn't absolutely love the sushi slider this would have easily been 3 stars. read more

Ok hear me out.... If you are coming here for the milkshakes you won't be disappointed if you go here for anything else you might be rolling the dice. I came here with one goal in mind- order a milkshake, finish the milkshake, love the milkshake. Goal accomplished. It's a very college student vibe (which I haven't been for a while) but grown-ups deserve epic desserts too (maybe more). The table was sticky even after our wonderful server wiped it down- most likely the tables have the wrong varnish for the environment and cleaning products. I digress you're here to know if the milkshake was as epic as it seems. The answer is- it's better. The ice cream is well blended and easy to sip through the straw. Although friendly, the only time you see them is to take your order and deliver your food. I would give 2/5 for korean pork belly because I'm not even sure if they actually used pork belly for this. The meat was too chewy and dried and didn't taste like pork belly at all. I LOVE spicy food but wish the sauce was little less spicy. Shrimp slider was fine but considering it was 2 times more expensive than the other sliders, I wouldn't say it's worth it. It was very bland and tasted like it's missing some flavor. However, the patry was very thick and crispy. The sliders were 3.99 each and I think the shrimp one was 5.99. Wish the sliders were bigger or they were little cheaper than the current price (especially because it's in the college town). I would still visit again to try other fun sliders and milkshakes. Gotta be honest, thought I was going to hate this place after finding out it was a milkshake craft beer and burger bar. They're opening these kinds of places all over now, over the top fancy looking milkshakes that are totally instagram worthy but after two or three times here, are you really going come back for milkshakes every week? So that was my mindset upon entering. The space is nice, a tad cold feeling with the hardwood floors and industrial decor but nice. We came in around 9 on a Wednesday night and the place was pretty full. We were lucky that two people were getting up from their bar stools just as we walked over. They were being handed two milkshakes to go and yes, they looked fantastic, if you're into milkshakes, which I'm not. Warning: This is not the place for you if you have food allergies. Nothing was dairy free in terms of milkshakes and nothing was labeled gluten free. Being that both dairy free and gluten free are part of my dietary restrictions, the menu was limiting for me. The bar stools are kind of low so your coat drags on the floor when you hang in on the chair. The bar was cool, a giant blackboard behind the bar with a list of their specialty cocktails, wine and extensive beer list. Tons of craft beers on tap. They were out of a few beers when we got there but that can be expected at any craft beer joint. Was indifferent about the hand held games at the bar; the tic tac toe game, Rubik's cube, connect four and triangle peg game. A good distraction while you're waiting for your food but after pretending to know how to do a Rubik's cube for 30 seconds, I thought about all the dirty hands that had touched this and how I was about to go down and take a bite of my slide and realized that this was definitely going to lead me to a nasty cold, flu season, not the best thing to have at the bar. So after scrubbing my hands in their bathrooms, which were nice and clean I was able to enjoy my slider. Again, was limited to what I could order. You can swap out burger buns for lettuce, which is awesome and took advantage of that. I don't eat ground beef, but all of the meatless options were fried so social slider it was; brie cheese and balsamic onion jam on top presented in a leaf of lettuce. It was supposed to come with arugula but it didn't and I'm assuming that was because I got a lettuce wrap, but I would have liked the arugula. They had a slider with buffalo cauliflower, so a good option to vegans, but again, fried, womp womp. They had beer battered cod, also fried, burrata, obviously fried and chicken also beer battered. So yes, for those people who don't eat ground beef there were other options, but everything was fried, nothing heathy. They did have a sushi and shrimp burger, thinking there were fried ingredients on those too, can't recall. Luckily, on the back of their menu they had a section with "bowls" or salad type options if you will and there was definitely something that could be found in that section that satisfied my annoying gluten free dairy free needs and was still healthy. Their options for sides were french fries, sweet potato tater tots and chips. None of those sides worked for me so I just stuck with the social slider on lettuce. They didn't give us any silverware, which was strange, but then my boyfriend reminded me I was eating burger and to just pick it up with the lettuce and bite. For me, I still would have like to look civilized and have some silverware. The beef burger was actually delicious. They didn't take a temperature but it was completely cooked through and still super juicy and delicious. That was definitely my red meat fix for the year and the burger itself was worth it, but there was too much onion jam that you couldn't taste the brie cheese. My boyfriend had the fried burrata and hot chicken sliders on buns like a normal person and he loved them. He said the hot chicken was SIZZLIN' Hot so beware! Since I'm not the kind of girl who can waltz into a restaurant and always find something I can eat, the service can make or break a place for me. I'd definitely return here solely because of the service. The bartenders were awesome; extremely professional, always looking to refill your drink or give a suggestion. They were all lively and seemed super pumped about the opening of this restaurant. It's nice to see people who actually care about the place that they work for and it was evident the bartenders took pride in this place. Just from the look of the menu, you can see that things are slightly on the pricy side. I ordered 2 different sliders but when the food arrived, I got two of the same sliders. I didn't want to bother asking to change the slider. Luckily, when the check came, it did say that I got two different sliders but there was no price difference. I also ordered a side of Tator tots and they were delicious but it was over fried in my opinion. It was way too crunchy that you couldn't really taste the softness inside the Tator Tots as you typically would. There were maybe three waitresses at the time that we went and the restaurant was not super packed. However, things were super slow. When I asked another waitress for utensils, I waited almost 5 minutes until I realized that she was talking with another waitress at the bar. My friends waived their hand in the air and once she saw us she went to the back of the restuarant to inform our waitress we needed utensils. It seems to be that only our waitress can serve our table. Every time we waived our hand in the air, another waitress would go to the back of the restaurant and call over the lady that serves us. Stopped here my first night in town, cute place and great concept. We got here around 3PM, wasn't too busy - we waited about 20 minutes before our waitress came over (from the bar area) to greet us. This was after we asked three different servers if they had our table, once she came over her service was okay. She didn't really know the menu said she was the bartender (okayyyyy guess she had never eaten there). We finally figured out we had to ask for everything we ended when we had her in front of us because once she left the table it was hell trying to see her or get anything from anyone else. We had to ask her to check on our food after 45 mins of waiting. I had the Fish Fry and the Cajun Shrimp Slider, the fish slider was good. The Cajun shrimp slider came out cold, I asked for a new one...unfortunately that came out cold as well. The buns to both the sandwiches were cold, not warmed or toasted....just cold. We had the tater tots which were seasoned well. We were a party of three, who were there to eat, drink, and hangout. Unfortunately once we were done eating four different people came over and asked if we wanted our check, if we were ready to leave, it was very uncomfortable. I asked the girl seating us if smoking was allowed in the fenced off sidewalk seating area. She said "I don't know" which means "I don't care". So we moved seats.
