    Fried Avocado

Seeing the average rating I wasn't expecting to be blown away, but we were impressed! We came on a Monday afternoon for late lunch. It was really easy to find street parking since most places were closed, and the restaurant wasn't crowded. The inside is cool with interesting decor - true to its name, it has a garage theme with some fun decorations. The waitress was incredibly sweet, friendly, professional, and serviceable. She was extremely attentive and went out of her way to proactively offer everything we needed - even taking the time to explain the different (homemade) hot sauces to us. One of my dining companions got a strawberry margarita with a chili rim, which the server explained used their housemade tajin-like blend. Good flavor to the drink. They had a large menu of cocktails and mocktails, and half priced basic ("broke") margs on Mondays. Looking at the menu, it was really hard to decide because they had so many great options. We started with the fried avocado which were DELIGHTFUL. Our whole table loved them. Not greasy at all, well seasoned. The outsides were perfectly crispy and inside was like biting into guacamole. A really fun menu option. I went with the cauliflower tacos, and they were perfect. The cauliflower was cooked perfectly, crisp but light and not greasy. All of the flavors and textures were evenly balanced. I'm not the hugest fan of cilantro but I didn't even detect it. I thought that the prices were a little high initially but two tacos (+ a side of choice) was PLENTY. The flavor and quality was top notch, and we were all really full and satisfied. I tried a bite of someone else's fish tacos and they were BOMB. Might have to order those next time. This was really a five star experience all around, and we were all already talking about returning in the future even though it's a drive for all of us.

This is the best food in binghamton ny!! It's genuinely so freaking good I loved my food its like the best food in binghamton. Genuinely whoever gave them less than a 5 star review is just trying to be different they've got a customer for life

We come here for Brianna She's the best server ever!!! So easy going, soooo nice and so efficient!!! And the picture of our food speaks for itself. Fast ‍service! The "broke" margaritas were fantastic (two for one). Thank you !!!

Terrible experience. Can't review the food because after more than an hour wait, we gave up and left. Abysmal effort. Just a bunch of employees standing around in a half-filled bar looking confused, lost and utterly helpless. Tacos are a lot of things but they are NOT complicated. Tacos are street food - made fast to move fast. Garage Taco has no sense of propulsion, much less service or customer experience. Again, awful. If this place existed in a town that had any semblance of competition or pace they would be out of business yesterday.

Another great experience, food was excellent and server was so friendly and chill. Forget his name but he did a great job. Love this place!

Fun atmosphere, food you can eat with your hands, and a friendly staff? Sign me up. They have wine in a can. This place ain't pretentious! The tacos are the highlight, and don't sleep on their side salad. It's also a good place to knock back a few on a date or after work (if you work downtown, that is, otherwise parking can be tricky). You get the fun and liveliness of downtown without all the "extra" of being closer to State St. Wait times for tables can be up to 40 minutes, but the bar is first come first serve, so if you see a spot, grab it. You'll be able to order from the full menu. Portion sizes are generous, so you won't be hungry when you walk out.

Stopped by for dinner on our mini family vacation and was feeling some Mexican food. The food was subpar but the service was good. Server was friendly and answered a lot of questions. Tacos from Barbacoa to fish didn't have much flavor. Tortilla seemed very large and not house-made. Loaded nachos was tasty but what you expect on a drunken night. The worst is the quesadilla. I would not recommend that item. It's hard to butcher a quesadilla but this one was loaded with too much sauce and drippy cheese that wasn't Monterey cheese. Seemed like sauce or queso.

We were in Binghamton and Garage was close to our hotel and dog friendly and oh yeah we love tacos and margs! It had just rained but the staff was kind enough to give us some towels to dry off the outdoor seating. We were starving after a long day of traveling so we ordered chips and queso, a shrimp taco meal, Barbacoa taco meal and the absolutely necessary margarita. The food came out quick and it was good. The chips were fresh and the queso was creamy and had just enough zip. The taco meals were filling and had some yummy rice and beans to accompany the tacos. The shrimp was cooked well and was flavorful. The barbacoa was tender and flavorful, the twist is that it was cooked with Dr. Pepper. On top of the delicious food we had an amazing experience from the wonderful staff. They were beyond attentive, kind and checked on us several times. They made sure our dog had water, we had enough chips and beverages and that we were enjoying our meal. The host was actually a cook who was not able to cook right now due to a wrist injury but he was a phenomenal server/ host and even brought out some yummy home made hot sauce that is made here on site. The only bad part of this meal is that it's not close to home.

Excellent Food, slow service and great vibe. Granddaughter wanted to come here so we did. Service was good to take order, slow to get food but they were slammed. Unfortunately my son ordered something they brought the wrong plate and then 2nd one came out after we all were done eating. Still the wrong plate. My son ended up eating it but only half the other half was very spicy. Waitress apologized as she was new. But no compensation for wrong order. But you need yo get the churro dessert. That is what gave them a 3 star. Awesome and all 5 of us split it. Granddaughter was entertained in the outdoor seating area while we waited. It was a long dinner over 2 hours to eat.

A Siskel & Ebert thumbs up.

For the Triple Dipper we chose the Southwestern Eggrolls, Fried Mozzarella, and Honey-Chipotle Chicken Strips. Fried Mozzarella was perfectly crisp with so much cheese. Perfect cheese pull when eaten fresh. Served with Marinara sauce. Chicken Strips were meaty and juicy, but I found the Honey-Chipotle was a little too salty. Served with house-made ranch. Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas tastes exactly as you would expect. Includes grilled chicken, shredded cheese, chile spices, bacon, house-made ranch. Served with pico, sour cream, ranch. I would definitely come back for the Southwestern Eggrolls and the Friend Mozzarella. Our server was attentive when he saw that we finished paying at the table, he brought over to-go containers.

This lovely lounge did not disappoint. When I walked through the old doors, I entered a unique atmosphere with a mix of old timey and retro punk vibes. Since I was on my own, I asked for a table for one, fully aware that my heart was set on a bar stool. The bar spot turned out to be perfect for people-watching and a Yuzo Peach Collins. Served in the perfect glass, the Collins was definitely a balance of flavors. Since the vodka rigatoni is what peaked my curiosity, that is what I ordered. It was phenomenal. I decided to go with the "old-school" version at the encouragement of my server, which included Cayenne pepper. It came out perfectly spiced and piping hot. I also decided to start with a Caesar salad. The lettuce was super cold and crisp, and the dressing was served on the side so I could moderate it for myself. Log Dog Cafe is just what the doctor ordered after long day of touring campus. If you want an authentic experience with a positive vibe, pop in the check it out!

We came towards the end of the lunch rush (1-2PM?) and were seated immediately. The ambiance is hip and buzzy, with lots of colorful decor. The menu had some very tempting options, even for vegetarians. We started with the buffalo brussel sprouts, a stroke of genius. I'd never thought about dousing this tasty veggie in hot sauce and blue cheese, but it makes sense. This was a very tasty app, and the sprouts were roasted perfectly with crispy outer skins which provided the crunch needed for a good buffalo dish. The special that day was some kind of french dip sandwich which one of my dining companions got. Another one got a cajun catfish sandwich and graciously offered me a bite. It was flavorful. For my main, I got the spring roll bowl and decided to add tofu. It had noodles, peanuts, a sweet thai chili sauce, and lots of veggies. It was MASSIVE. Prices are a little high but the portions definitely made it worth it. I could have taken half home as leftovers if I'd wanted. The restaurant also has a coffee bar which we decided last minute to partake in instead of venturing out into the rain to find a different cafe. This was such a convenient option because we didn't have to fight to find parking or brave the weather to go to a second location. I did a pistachio latte. Someone else at my table got a Mexican hot chocolate. I treated myself to the homemade whipped cream. The coffee hit the spot. Throughout the whole experience the staff was wonderful. Our food came out quickly, and the servers were very friendly and joking with us. I'd come back if I was in the area.
