This has been our go to for wings for a while Since we started having issues at other places not cooking them well or other issues. They were excellent for a while. Super crispy but not dried out, saucy and a good size for quite a few orders. The last two orders have been soggy and chewy, gross... despite ordering crispy or extra crispy they definitely didn't cook them long enough. Sauce is good but lacking any spice. Everyone loves a good dive and this is the epitome of your neighborhood dive bar. I've only been here maybe 3 times but each time it's been an interesting experience. I like this place because you can literally come in whenever, wearing whatever and you fit in regardless. I've come in dressed to the nines wearing my heels and I've come in wearing my ripped jeans and sneakers and feel just as comfortable. Their back room is so odd, in a creepy way. Every time I come to use the bathroom and take a peak at the back room it's usually empty and doesn't seem like it fits. Anyways, the bartenders are super chill and nice, they have spiked seltzers and cheap beer with a decent food menu, typical bar food. It's your no frills bar, does the trick. read more

Male bartender was very rude. Served us the wrong drinks and when my husband said this is not what I ordered the bartender said " There are lots of other bars , go to one of them" So we left. Service can't be beat, price is awesome food (wings) are great! Atmosphere inside and outside leaves a lot to be desired but it's a corner pub and not a fancy manhattan bar.... so why would you fault it. read more

We popped in on a Saturday night looking for a pool table and found just what we needed. With a name like Close Quarters, you might be thinking they cut their pool cues in half to fit but no! They're full size and they actually have a few big rooms so there's plenty of space to swing around. There was just 1 bartender despite a decent sized crowd and she kept up fine and poured some mean pitchers of Yuengling. read more

New ownership and management are making good, fast changes! New TV's. Saturday morning $2 sausages. New floors coming soon. NFL Ticket coming. New menu features coming. Pros are great chicken wings. You know most everyone in there. Decent prices. Cons are the front door could be less obvious and hidden. Look for more and more improvements and fans... many people know the new management team! read more

Absolutely true... I'm the ex-employees mom... after talking with the manager who changed her story several times during the conversation, I realized she was using this as an excuse to get rid of him, my son notified the bar when he would be coming back but as he had no knowledge that Teri Gavin was the "legal manager" of CQ, he had no clue he was supposed to "talk with me 'her' personally"... I contacted the heiress absentee owner, as she had told my son before he left for the funeral in Ohio to take all the time he needed... who not only informed me because Teri Gavin was buying the bar she had to support her decision... then she diatribed about all sorts of fantasy complaints of my son's job performance (mostly having to do with disrespect to Teri Gavin) and actually said my son's "pain over the loss of his father could not possibly be compared to her pain!" Even if they did want to get rid of him... an hour before his fathers services via voice mail was a low cowardly blow. I would like to say that other employees, Jack and Tommy will probably be as shocked as I was to hear of these doings and cannot believe they had anything to do with this poor behavior. read more
