Tonight I had perhaps one of the five worst restaurant meals I have ever had. Ordered a ribeye steak sandwich. Brought me a ribeye steak dinner. Should have kept it. Sandwich meat was very small and cooked like shoe leather. My side of fries arrived about a half hour after the sandwich. My wife was done eating by the time my sandwich came. I will never come back and will never recommend to anyone. Positive. The waitress was awesome. She was polite professional and truly sorry for how things were going. read more

Received coupon for a free pizza and visited Jonathan's at lunch time. Presented coupon to bartender and she said I would need to sit down for pizza, but then did not see that it was printed on coupon. She called down to the owner sitting at the end of the bar and he came up to her and told her I could take the pizza out. She started to quote a price for take-out and tax, but he stepped in and told her "No charge". The pizza was ready in 10 minutes, and I thanked the owner when he gave me the pizza. Went to Jonathan's on my first night in town with my parents. The decor is outdated... it's dark... a little dingy/dirty feeling.... it's Binghamton... it's HOME! Yes, some of the complaints on here have been about the older/outdated decor, but to me I grew up in places like this with my parents. So to me, it just feels like "home." We ordered an antipasto salad, a dozen wings, and a pizza. The antipasto came out very quickly. The toppings on the salad were great, but the lettuce didn't look the freshest. The pizza was okay, a pretty standard pie for the area. I will say that I agree with other yelpers on here that the middle of the slices tend to get a little soggy. I would describe it as floppy rather than crisp. The slice wouldn't stick straight out if you were holding it by the crust, it would be a sad and saggy. But the WINGS .... COOKED TO PERFECTION. Crispy on the outside but still had plenty of meat in the middle. This is what I probably miss the most about this area - people who know how to cook chicken wings! I would recommend the wings for sure! The waitress that was serving us was attentive and sweet. We had a nice time. read more

The prime rib was gray and cold! The only part of the dinner that looked fresh?was the steamed broccoli. Baked potato was gray inside. Side salads had onions that smelled like B.O. I can't say enough bad about this place. In my humble opinion the food is probably the worst in Broome County definitely the worst in Endwell. Again in my humble opinion their customer Service is actually worse than the food. They love hidden fees. They have take out only coupons that include an additional hidden take out fee. Used to love go to this place. Has changed so much and not for the better. Went to order food to go. Ended up asking someone who came behind the bar for something else to put our order in as we sat there for some time waiting for someone to take our order. This place is terrible, we went there last week, it was around 4pm, not busy at all but to prepare a salad and a pizza took a long time. The pizza was swimming in grease, we used a pile of napkins to soak up all the oily grease, the salad was terrible, soggy green stuff, when we complained we were told that we got the end of a bag and they were just opening another bag, they should never have served it at all. The good news is that we will never experience it again, hope this review deters others from going. read more

We get pizza and wings here all the time and I have to say only once were the wings way over fried to point you couldn't really enjoy them. I always ask for browner crisper pizza crust because most places here do not bake at extremely hot temps . It's the whole area except one place. I have to admit, that place hasn't been remodeled in over 25 years so it's definitely in need of a make over ... a light & airy makeover would be nice and better wi-di which is almost nonexistent!! read more

Skip it! My friend and I tried this place for a change of scenery (we usually hit up the Galley up the road) and were very disappointed. We seated ourselves and waited a good 15 minutes before being approached by a waitress, who was horrificially slow all night with our beverages. We each started with a side salad, which was okay, then split a pizza, which was lukewarm by time it reached the table and the crust was thin and soggy in the center. We had to eat it with a fork. We each had Diet Cokes - which arrived at the table watered down, filled with tons of ice and had virtually no carbonation left in them! Too boot, when we got the bill it was $34! For a gross pizza, okay salads and three watered down sodas each. We were charged for each refill! We each wound up forking over about $20 for a meal we didn't even like. Next time, we will definitely pass. read more

don't go for the hamburgers unless you like them well done. I ordered a 'rare to medium rare' burger and received a well done. had them take it back and the next one was even more well done. everyone at my table that ordered a hamburger medium-rare received a well done. it's obvious the cook doesn't care how you want it cooked. i love a juicy pink burger, plus the few bites i did take to taste the burger were very bland and greasy, so i'll never go back here for a burger. pizza is ok. wings are lame. they say they offer 'hot' but it's not hot by any means. then if you order suicidal the sauce is no longer authentic hot wing sauce and they just throw in some jalapenos that aren't even that hot either. and yes, the bathrooms are dank. decor is way outdated. it's worth a try but there is far better out there. read more

We have been going here for years with no complaints . seems as though in the last 6 months they have revamped staff and cooks... Waitress was awesome.. The hostess was lack luster and should probably find a new profession. The buffalo chicken pizza is not as you would think and I was very disappointed.. I wrote this before, but apparently they had it removed. So, when you get take out, they do not tell you on the phone, in person, or anywhere at all that there is a take-out fee. I had to ask why my bill was higher than quoted. If you ask about it or even say anything about the charge they will be awful to you. Rude, dismissive...etc. Their food is the worst as well. They gave me 2 dozen RAW/UNDERCOOKED wings. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. read more

Endwell's kind of a gray area for me, I don't spend much time out there so there's a lot of places that I haven't tried yet. Recently I tried Jonathan's and it was just ok. the food wasn't really bad but not good enough to really keep me coming back I tried some of the pizza, which I had high hopes for because I know that one of the Fatas from Brothers 2 is involved in the business, but the pizza here wasn't as unique as brothers 2 (RIP). I also tried the Grover sandwich. For those of you who don't know, Grover's was the area's introduction to BBQ, it was a Texas style pig stand that operated from the 30s or 40s up until the 70s, and the Fata brothers used to work at the endwell one. Well Jonathans has a sandwich that's an homage to it. It's not a typical pulled pork sandwich, the meat is actually shaved thin and the meat here did seem smoked, but unfortunately they didn't put much meat on the sandwich, which was especially a bummer because the roll was on the large side. I did like that they served the sauce on the side. The sauce wasn't homemade though, it was Open Pit brand bbq sauce, which is a decent sauce, not too sweet like most standard bbq sauces. I think my favorite thing I tried here were the wings. I got the "hot bbq" ones and they were nice and crisp, they even grilled the sauce into them a little! The service was fine, the vibe was whatever, just kinda seemed like an after work bar, I feel like it would be a better place for something casual, if I was looking for a place for a special meal then I'd look elsewhere. read more

First dining experience out after Covid. Terrible experience! Our waitress was an incredibly rude young lady and although there were only a handful of tables filled at the restaurant we still received minimal service at best. After finishing our dinner and stepping outside to smoke, my boyfriend paid our bill at the bar because our waitress was nowhere to be found. As we walked to our vehicle the same nasty waitress chases us down and stated we didn't pay our bill. My boyfriend calmly stated it was paid along with her tip at the bar, to which she continued to question. I then went in and spoke to the manager and let him know we wouldn't be returning to a dump like this again. Save yourself a bad experience don't eat here! read more

We've been long time patrons, but hadn't been there in a while. Decided to stop tonight for takeout. The waitstaff were unpleasant and we felt like we were bothering them to order. Overheard the bartender say how miserable she was and hates holidays. Ordered takeout and waited 45 minutes before we got 2 pizzas and a burger. Then waited 10 minutes for miserable bartender to collect out payment and that was only after another patron had to tell her. Even though she walked past us 4 times! She then proceeded to be rude to the other patron and told him that she was busy! This used to be our go to place to hang out, but this place has changed for the worse. The atmosphere was dead, no music, just quiet and miserable staff. Pizzas were burned and burger wasn't what we ordered. 1 star only because I can't go lower. Very disappointed. We live nearby so we read the posted info. We really enjoy the Monday night special of Spaghetti & Meatballs! I would recommend the bar or nearby section for people who want to watch sports on TV. The dining room is great for large groups or family seating. There is another room for private parties. The service is good! read more

Stopped in there last Saturday afternoon for drink before heading to a wedding reception. The bartender was extremely friendly and welcoming. Even when some people ordered a drink she had never heard of she was very accommodating. The drink prices were more than fair. If I lived closer I would be there a lot more often. read more

For steaks, its the best bang for your buck in the Southern Tier, bar-none!!! You can get a 24 ounce Delmonico Steak with a salad and fries for $19.99 plus tax and tips!!! I spent less than $30 on the 24 ounce Delmonico steak meal including 2 drinks and a 20% tip!!! They also cook a great Prime Rib for the cheapest price I've ever paid. read more

I'm only rating one star because that it is the lowest offered. Went there for the first time over the past weekend. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK. I had seven people in my group. Meals were all served one at a time. My parents and boyfriend got steak with a baked potato for a side. They were half way finished with their steak before the potato was brought out. My entire party was eating their meal before mine was served to me. Three of us had pasta and no bread was served. I've never been to a restaurant, where, not only was the entree served one at a time, but the sides were not served with the entree. Our poor waitress, Allison, was serving two large tables and ran the ENTIRE time we were there. Which brings me on to that. Sat down for dinner at 5:45, never even left until 7:30; and we didn't even sit and hang out after we ate. The food was sub-standard. The atmosphere was drab and offensive. There were four people at the bar so intoxicated that their yelling was offensive. Yes, I understand that Jonathan's is a restaurant/bar, but to allow your patrons to use such vulgar, derogatory language while families (some with small children) are trying to enjoy a meal is unacceptable. The only highlight of the meal was the disposition of Allison. She needs to find a new job. She is far too classy for that place. read more

My wife and I stopped in to Jonathans last night for Dinner about 8:00pm. I had a coupon for up to $6.00 a second dinner when one is purchased. I gave the waitress the coupon before we ordered our meals. I ordered a meatball parmesan dinner which the menu said came with salad, garlic bread and a side of spaghetti. My wife ordered a steak sandwich. Hers also came with a salad. When we received our meals, mine came with meatballs on a roll. No spagetti. I asked the waitress if this was the dinner. She said yes. So I asked her about the side of spaghetti. She said it doesn't come with spaghetti. My wife's steak sandwich had less than a quarter of an inch of meat on it and was all grizzle and she couldn't eat it. Throughout our whole experience, the servich was lousy. The waitress was more interested in socializing at the bar with other waitresses. This restaurant was not busy. At the end, the waitress said we couldn't use our coupon because we only ordered one dinner. Why didn't she tell us this when we ordered. I also asked to see a menu where I showed her that the dinner I ordered was supposed to have a side of spaghetti. She then said if I really want a side she could bring me an order if I wanted to pay for it. MY meatball dinner was on an overdone roll and the meatballs were tasteless. probably frozen and were not made at the restaurant. In all, not a very friendly restaurant. I used to meet my family on Mondays for the $5 pizza. Service was always slow and the servers were very short with us. We always just dealt with it because well, it's a $5 pizza. Two weeks ago is the last time I will be entering Jonathon's. When I walked into the restaurant I told the hostess I was there to meet my family she said to me grumpily that they were probably somewhere in the back. I found my family and sat down, the server took my drink order 10 minutes later. During dinner the grumpy hostess decided that another table needed the Parmesan cheese that was placed directly in front of me more because she actually reached directly in front of me without saying a word to grab it. Shortly after that another server was cleaning another table off and as she was walking by my families table she set down all the dirty dishes on our table! After that we waited 20 full minutes for our check. Our server has worked there longer than a year mind you so this is not a new server making errors.
