This is a hidden gem on the border of PA and NY. Great food and drinks at good prices. There's a ton of history with the establishment and it has a great small town dive feel to it. Great place to have lunch or dinner! The place looks much nicer now that its been rebuilt after the TWO fires that burned it down. Inside is big and modern. State of PA has installed these new "slot machines" that look more like arcade game....didn't try them but lots of people seemed to be enjoying them. Also Gaming online in the state of PA is legal now too in addition to these "slots". This place has great wifi and a Verizon repeater system if you want to get online. Only thing to keep in mind is they charge $1 to use a credit card if your bill is under $30. read more

Went there tonight, one beer on our way home. The bartender completely ignored us, not even a hello. We waited 15 minutes, still nothing. Just left, three people at the bar. Probably could have used our tip. As a bartender I don't often have anything bad to say, but this guy was awful. read more

Tonight, when my wings were not done to my liking, the owner Greg came out to tell me he cooked them Like I wanted then and walked away. I guess the customer is not right here. Ordered wings for takeout tonight March 20, 2022 - on-line menu stated $8.99 a dozen - I ordered two dozens wings and a draft beer - bill was for over $34.00 , not counting tip. Two people at the bar, besides me. The waitress could not wait to serve drinks and get out on the porch to smoke with her friends, so I did not take the time to "bother her" and question her about the bill - as it appeared she didn't want to be bothered by the customers WINGS WERE FANASTIC ! I recently stopped in EARLY evenings several times and only 2 or 3 people there at the bar. I ordered soup a couple of times and it was so watered down it was just flavored water. Absolutely no substance to it at all. When we ordered clam chowder my father asked the waitress if she could take it back and let the clam swim in it a little longer. You have a gold mine here. A perfect place for a fast soup and sandwich for lunch and a great gathering place for locals for the early evening. Get some bartenders and waitresses with some personalities and make this a great place for people to refer others to. The fact that no exact street address comes up when one googles "The Brackney Inn" is very telling of the place. It's a dive bar in the middle of nowhere. A country dive bar. Which is to say, very different than an urban dive bar. Whether it was the $1 cans of Bud. The collection of wife-beater wearing Pennsylvania good'ol boys at the bar. Or the history of the place being a brothel for Philadelphia businessmen. It was a total culture shock. But I loved it. The place has character. It has history. It's a local joint, so expect to get your fare share of suspicious glances. But a taste of something very different from any other dive bar. They also have food there. Affectionately (if not sarcastically) known by Quaker Lakers as "The Brackney Hilton," This place is always a classic. You could wear sweatpants or your prom dress (you might be a bit overdressed, but no one will care). No rules, cheap lager, darts, pool, shufflepuck... and to top it all off, the rather comforting feeling that this place has always been there and will always be there in the future. The smoke filled haze that hits you as you enter the Brackney lets you know you are no longer within city limits. You will see the same people sitting in the same bar stools on any given night. The burgers and wings are good and the waitresses are attentive. The real stand out is the Thursday night Prime Rib special. For a mere $12.99 you get soup or salad, a very generous hunk of well seasoned beef, vegetable, and potato. The Brackney is great. You feel like you're going well below the Mason Dixon line when you go here however it never comes off feeling overly redneckish or conservative. The ceilings are only about 7 feet high, which feels a bit strange, but the actual bar layout is really cool with a large C shaped bar right in the middle and pool on one side and seating on the other. A lot of people tend to only go here after last call in NY, because it's open until 2am instead of 1am.. so heading out from Binghamton you'll get about an extra 40 minutes of drinking. However, it's worth stopping in and trying the food whenever. The burgers are good and the city chicken isn't bad. read more

The brackney hilton is a classic. I mean in 2016 how many bars do you know that stay open only because the owners try to attract the smokers from a neighboring state? It's a shame to the people of that area that really believe they are in good hands as far as the food they are being served. Little do they know what happens in that kitchen. The "great" chicken wings sit in a bucket on the floor all day waiting for orders. While the cooks and whoever else walk around smoking cigarettes in the kitchen. I've witness a co owner scrape off the blue mold off a steak just because someone ordered it. This place should be shut down. Cannot believe it is still open. You've been warned. Drink up. i got food a few more times after my initial visit, and while the burgers and chicken sandwiches are great, i've found a few faults. the wings are pretty good, but could stand to be a little crispier. and the fries seem to be inconsistent, i never know what style of fry they will have in stock. and i finally got around to trying their pizza. awful. one of the worst i've ever had. dough wasn't stretched out evenly, the crust was huge but the body was so thin that it just flopped down when you tried to pick it up. this was a problem because they put a ton of cheese on it. that doesn't sound like a bad thing, but this cheese was pretty hard to chew and the pizza was really greasy. i was not a fan of the sauce either, overly spiced with chunks of tomato. i'll still come here to drink and to eat, but i'm just gunna steer clear of the pizza. another thing to mention, they have the worst vending machine ever! 99% of the time it won't take your dollar, so you have to make change and even then some of the quarters you put in don't get counted, and then it's a gamble if the item you pick is even going to come out of the machine! read more

We had been going to the Brackney Inn for years, but after Saturday night, never again. We went around 5pm with my Wife and mother. My mother ordered the open face turkey sandwich, my wife ordered the buffalo chicken wrap, and I got the wings. We sat in the non smoking dining room where your feet stick to the floor. According to the menu, the turkey sandwich was supposed to come out hot on garlic bread with gravy and mozzarella cheese. Instead it was served on 2 skinny pieces of white bread with 2 slabs of turkey. Each turkey slice was about 2 inches thick and still cold. To make matters worse it was still pink in several spots. My wings came out with the turkey sandwich, but my wife's buffalo chicken wrap and fries were still missing. My mother moved the turkey around and only tried 1 piece before sending it back. The waitress offered another dish, but my mom declined grossed out. I finished a dozen of my wings and yet the wrap and fries were still missing. The waitress said it was still waiting on the fries. I don't understand how 2 dozen wings came out and yet fries were still missing. It wasn't even busy. So the wrap finally arrives and it has tomatoes on it which she said she didn't want. As she dissected the wrap it had 2 tiny pieces of chicken on 1 half and 3 on the other half. They should have labeled it the buffalo lettuce wrap. She ate the fries and a few pieces of the chicken and that was it. We got our bill and it still had the turkey sandwich on it. My mother said to the waitress that she wasn't going to pay for that, to which the waitress said that she saw it half eaten, and could talk to her manager about possibly taking half off. She said that the turkey was cooked yesterday and that the chef said it was cooked all the way. The sandwich costs $6.50 so it's not even a matter of the cost. The fact that the waitress kept correcting us and telling us that we were essentially in the wrong was appalling. The worst customer service I've ever experienced from a restaurant. The manager was nice enough to take half off. So, we were nice enough to let her take the other half home as a tip. read more
