The moment I stepped foot in the diner, I was instantly enveloped in a nostalgic and cozy atmosphere. It was full of charm with all the decorations. Definitely what you would picture in those classic movies/shows. Food was 10/10!! I ordered the buttermilk pancakes which is what they are most famous for and for good reason too! Fluffy and light and amazing portions (5 big pancakes with mixed berries)! The pancakes were so good that we bought a bag of pancake mix to take home. My sister ordered the eggs any way and she loved everything that came with it: eggs, choice of bacon or sausage, potatoes, and toast. Everything on the menu looked absolutely delicious and it was hard to decide what to order. They have weekly specials as well. Our waitress Susie was an absolute sweetheart and made our entire experience memorable. That being that we had asked her for some more water and by the time she came back around, someone else had already stopped by and filled up our glasses. She apologized for the delay by giving us a free chocolate chip cookie and it was the best damn cookie I've had in a long time. She went above and beyond for something that wasn't a big deal, but we appreciated the thought. I'd definitely come back here if I'm near the area.

That was a power move on our part. It started to get packed quickly! The food was good! I got the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were nice and buttery. So soft. The gravy was great, too. It was lacking a TAD bit of flavor. I wish the sausage pieces were a little larger, too. The pancakes, which they are known for, were good! They were soft and pillowy. Delish. The service was good. Our waiter was spread thin for a little while her coworkers came in about an hour after we were seated. They had merch to buy and of course I had to partake! Such cute little souvenirs! Overall, a great place to visit!!! Especially if you're a Severance fan!

The atmosphere immediately invites you to stay awhile: relaxed, cozy, spotless, and effortlessly trendy without trying too hard. It's the kind of place that feels both comfortable and current. The menu offered an excellent variety, making it hard to choose, but we started with the goat cheese and mushroom flatbread appetizer paired with cocktails, and it was the perfect beginning to the evening. Flavorful, balanced, and beautifully prepared. For dinner, we sampled two outstanding entrées. The wild shrimp dish was incredibly fresh, served over a vibrant mix of garden-picked greens, avocado, watermelon radish, and a flavorful kicker dressing that tied everything together perfectly. The Faroe Island salmon was equally impressive -- perfectly cooked and topped with locally picked ramp-infused butter, served over asparagus and fingerling potatoes. Every bite tasted fresh, seasonal, and thoughtfully crafted. Overall, this was a wonderful dining experience with warm hospitality, a welcoming vibe, and food that truly delivers. We will definitely back for dinner and stay for the live music as well.

Excellent food and friendly staff. Filled with locals who all seem to know each other. My girlfriend and I spent two nights in a B&B just a block away, and we stopped in on a Saturday night. It was packed, and the only space was at the large communal table in the middle of the room. Our food took 40 minutes to come out, but the waitstaff was incredibly apologetic and offered to comp a round of drinks, and we were in no rush just enjoying the atmosphere, so no worries there. We had a flatbread with arugula and prosciutto and pasta with grilled chicken. Both were incredible. My girlfriend has spent a lot of time in Italy and has laughably high standards when it comes to pasta, and she wouldn't stop raving about how good her penne was. There was a corner filled with musical instruments, so it looks like they host live music as well, though not while we were there. Overall this is a great restaurant in a rural area that is worth driving to if needed.

The space inside feels about as wide as a railroad car but as homey as a local gem can get. The menu reads like a classic diner's, with everything from breakfast to dessert. I ordered the Hungry Man Special, which comes with a stack of pancakes, two eggs, bacon AND sausage, and home fries. For $16, this was an enormous value and practically a wealth of food. My husband ordered the chicken salad, and they were more than amenable to his ask for grilled chicken instead of the menu-standard crispy. The chicken was tender and cut into easy-to-eat strips. Everything was well cooked and got to our table within minutes of ordering. Service remained fantastic throughout, and judging from the friendly conversations around me, it's clear that there were lots of regulars and return visitors. Definitely step in if you're in the area and in search of dependably good food.

My visit on August 30, 2025, left me with the kind of satisfaction that only a solid diner experience can deliver--one that makes you want to return just to try more of the menu. To start, the garlic bread with marinara was exactly what you'd hope for in diner comfort food: warm, golden-brown edges with just the right crunch on the outside and a soft, buttery center. The garlic wasn't overwhelming, and dipping it into the tangy marinara added that classic, crave-worthy touch. It was the kind of simple appetizer that sets the right tone for what's to come. The Santa Fe Wrap was a highlight--grilled chicken cooked to a juicy tenderness, paired with creamy avocado that balanced beautifully against the smoky bacon. The cheddar added sharpness, while the lettuce and tomato kept it fresh and crisp. It's a hearty, flavor-packed wrap that manages to feel indulgent without being heavy, something you could happily order for either lunch or dinner. On the spicier side, the Buffalo Chicken Wrap brought a zesty kick. The buffalo sauce was bold and tangy, just spicy enough to wake up the taste buds without overwhelming them. The blue cheese inside mellowed the heat, adding a cool creaminess that tied the whole wrap together. Each bite felt satisfying, with the wrap itself holding everything neatly--a small detail, but an important one when you're eating something saucy and bold. Service throughout the meal was friendly and efficient, with staff that seemed genuinely attentive without being overbearing. The diner itself has that cozy, casual atmosphere you want in a local spot--welcoming and lively without being too noisy. Value-wise, the generous portions and solid flavors made the price point feel more than fair. Overall, I'd give New Munson Diner a strong 4 stars--a reliable, tasty stop with plenty of menu options to keep you coming back. The wraps in particular stand out as fresh, flavorful choices, and paired with a shareable appetizer like the garlic bread, you've got yourself a diner meal that's both comforting and satisfying.

First around it was an assortment of housemaid dips, including a garlic cream spinach, which somehow was both Rich and Light.a silken hummus and a zesty feta with green olives. The pita was warm and abundant. The main course was a beautifully braised beef shank served along with its own marrow bone which could have easily taken the spotlight. . The entire vibe of this place is incredibly warm and welcoming with an energy provided by the staff that makes you feel as if you are a guest in their kitchen. I would highly recommend making this place a priority on your list.

It was poppin all night long w tables coming and going and a bar filled. We got the perfect time going around 6 and got a table for five immediately. All the food was carefully curated and not your run of the mill, generic Sysco brand. Everything we had was amazing and delicious, and with the prices being very reasonable- we fully enjoyed ourselves. One thing I did notice was the lack of service. The servers were bustling about but didn't check on our table enough. We all had one drink and had they checked in more we all would have had seconds and maybe a third. That's the only light complaint bc otherwise everything was pristine and cozy.

The room was clean and tidy, and the layout was very tasteful. It had a warm and retro atmosphere, which made people relax as soon as they entered the door. The owner (or the front desk) was very enthusiastic and recommended several great restaurants and attractions nearby. It felt like living in a friend's house. The bed was very comfortable, the sheets and towels were of high quality, and even the fragrance made people feel at ease. The breakfast was simple but exquisite, and the food was carefully prepared. The location is also very good, the surroundings are quiet but not remote, and it is very convenient to drive to nearby natural attractions and towns. Cleanliness: 5/5 Service attitude: 5/5 Comfort: 5/5 Value for money: Very high! If you like the kind of small inn that is not commercialized and full of human touch, you must stay at Hamden Inn once. Next time I come here, I will definitely choose here again!
