Service was extra warm & welcoming - we had our pup with us & it was a not so great weekend weather wise & while we offered to order & sit outside at a table as to not disrupt other diners, they managed to put us in their back room so no one had to eat out in the cold (Pepper can't write her own review, but she says thank you, two paws up!) While the menu is small, one item is better than the next & you can't go wrong no matter what you choose! Prices are reasonable for everything you get & in today's economy, it's a rare find! The apple pancakes were to die for & honestly, the biggest pancakes I've ever seen! Fresh biscuits with maple butter (YUM!) Don't pass up on the extra creamy & delicious chocolate milk! Seriously - can I get an IV drip of that? This place is the embodiment of farm to table (obviously). Zero frills, but full authenticity of a working farm. Wonderful place & wonderful people. So we went around to the takeout window, which is NOT handicap accessible (steps only, no ramp), and stand on line to finally learn that the dinner would not be ready for at least 25 minutes (this was at 5:30 PM, not exactly an off hour for dinner service). Did they honestly expect my disabled husband to stand in the blazing summer sun for half an hour? (There were no seats available by the window). I knocked on the door of the dining room hoping we could at least sit down to wait, but they didn't even answer. We left, we will NEVER return, and I will make sure to tell everyone I know in this little town to stay away unless you actually want to be treated badly. I don't care if your food is cordon-bleu, no business should treat their customers with such disregard. I guess they think that, since they are the only restaurant in town that isn't a bar, it's okay to be rude and unaccommodating. The hamburgers are made with fresh ground beef and made by hand patties. Make sure you give a temp on the burgers or they arrive at a medium temp. The small burger is seven ounces of beef and sets high on the toasted bun. The chicken salad is house made and is seasoned with an Italian blend of spices. It was served as a melt on toasted, buttered sour dough bread. A very good sandwich. The other meal was the steak sandwich. The roll was toasted and piled high with beef and cheese. The French Fries and Tater Tots are from frozen but prepared well. The menu has a very strong breakfast variety but we didn't see or order a breakfast item. The price is very reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. If something out of the norm is something you like, give this place a chance. You will be pleasantly surprised!!!
