This TP Tea location was conveniently right next to where we had dinner. Loved the drinks here it was so delicious. Easy ordering through the kiosk. Drinks came out quickly. There were some nice small tables to hang out at inside. The tea flavor here is really good. I got 25% sweetness and it was perfect. My friends all really liked their drinks as well. Always love a good stop into TP Tea.

Summary * Takeout * Skewers stayed crispy * Good service (ordered at restaurant) Food * Pork neck * Chicken gizzard * Beef skewers * Mantou Pork neck was my favorite. Chicken gizzard isnt my usual jam. Beef was good tho pork neck had a balance of meat and fat.

Placed an order ahead of time online, and the drink was ready to pick up literally as I pulled into parking space. Nicely decorated for the holidays. Prices are still reasonable. Got the YGF family milk tea which is Tie Guanyin Oolong with the 3 toppings - and it just HIT so hard. Give it a try!

My friends and I decided to check out this place because we heard about the new Lychee drinks. I got the Velvet Lychee Fresh Milk Tea, 50% sweet, less ice, and with boba. The drink was ready in about 7 minutes. I'm typically not a fan of fruit milk teas because they tend to separate and not taste quite as cohesive as I would like, but I loved this drink! The milk tea struck a perfect balance of tea, milk, and lychee flavor. The boba was perfectly soft chewy, the milk tea was smooth, and the drink had a light sweetness to it. It was a Thursday evening, and there were quite a few people were there for the bogo deal. There are a few tables for seating, but most people were doing grab and go orders anyways. They had one kiosk for ordering. They had a restroom in the back which we had to ask the staff for access. This location is located in a plaza, so there was plenty of parking! I'm not sure if these drinks are here for a limited time only, but I definitely would come back again for this drink!

People keep saying TP Tea is good, but I did not have this experience. We came to this plaza with another lunch plan but saw the tea shop was open so we went in. It was before 11:30am and apparently they were not ready to open. So they told us not to order on the kiosk, not in a nice tone. Then we waited outside, the waitress came out and closed the door without saying a word. Rather rude in the whole encountering. Nevertheless, we went back after lunch for milk tea. It's the regular milk tea with boba. I found their tea too milky and lacking the tea flavor, the boba is also smaller than other places, making it hard to chew even though they were cooked softly and chewy. The place was clean with comfortable and stylish seating arrangements, but most people came for a take out order. The music was Chinese pop songs, not too bad. All matcha were not available. The only good impression is the price is relatively reasonable compared to some tea places, but still in the $6+ range.

15% sweet is perfect for Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea. I always order this one no boba on door dash or when i use snack pass to order ahead. I dont think the wait is too bad if u drop in and order depending on the day and time. Overall solid milk tea.

Still one of my favorite, go to milk tea chains from Taiwan. I have been going here consistently since they opened in 2018, always opt for the Winter Melon Tea Latte here when Im in the mood for something a bit sweet no adjustments. When I want something a bit less sweet, I always get their Tie Guan Yin Latte 80% sweet and less ice. Overall if you like your milk tea creamy and tea forward tasting, this is your place. I recommend ordering on snackpass to avoid the long lines as this spot is always busy , not a lot of space to sit inside, and you can get points towards a free drink. ** Also fun fact I learned from my recent trip to Taipei, TP Tea is a chain opened up by another chain in Taiwan called Chun Shui Tang, known as the creator of bubble tea!**

Taro milk 2/5 - this was not good.. we got 75% sweet and there was no flavor. Just tasted like milk. Two stars only because they use real taro but the taro doesn't mix with the milk. Would've been better if they blended the taro into the milk.

I got their Mango Tea Latte with Boba ($7.50) and their Strawberry Milk Tea with boba ($7.50). Boba per drink was an additional $0.75. Mango drink was a 3.5/5 stars. The mango flavor was nice but the overall drink was average. The strawberry drink was better, a 4/5 stars as the smoothie texture and flavor was nicely done. The white sofas inside were nice and comfortable and some Halloween decorations were up. There is only one kiosk and the customer ahead of me took an incredibly long time to choose her order so my wait time during this visit was incredibly long because the drinks came out very slow as well.

ABSOLUTE SLAYYYYY!!!! Such a rich milk tea with fun toppings! I fell in love with the qq noodles they were soooo fun to chew hehehehe

I enjoy their wintermelon and their green tea! I think the cube jelly is a great topping and I would recommend trying it if you like something chewy like boba but want a change. Not a huge fan of the golden jelly because I think tea top is better for that. Lots of sweetness levels to choose from. Snackpass is a great way to earn rewards and order ahead.

It turns out to be not that sweet and plain. So I don't totally like it really. I guess it could be just sweeter

I am still a huge fan of TP Tea and it's still my #1 boba shop in the Bay Area. Pro tip: order in advance on Snackpass if you are in a hurry or don't want to wait as long for boba. I think they've greatly improved the wait time over the years. They are still very busy though which is great because it means they're doing well! My go-to is the tie guan yin milk tea with pudding or grass jelly. I love that they have a 15% option for their drinks -- I like my drinks slightly sweetness and 15% is perfect! I wanted a non-caffeinated option today since it was late afternoon and went with Moo! My Taro. I think it was just okay - I wish that the taro paste and the milk mixed together a bit better. Taro paste is sweetened and delicious, milk is just milk. The experience of drinking it felt like I only drank loads of the paste or just milk, where I would've much preferred to be able to drink both at the same time (I tried to mix the paste and milk as much as I could too). They have some indoor seating now, as well as some outdoor seats. Not a lot though.

Super cute statue with a ladder next to it!

TP Tea Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - TP Tea

What kind of tea do they use in their strawberry milk tea? Is it green tea or black tea?

Do you still have tie guan yin tea latte on the menu? I don't see it on the Snackpass app

You could order it on the Yamimeal app.

    How to order online?

You can order from the Yamimeal App as well, same price as in store!

Are they open for indoor seating as of March 31, 2022?

No. However, they have limited outdoor seating options.

Does anyone know if tptea offers gift cards?

Unfortunately TP Tea does not offer gift cards.

Do they do catering? Calling gets no response.

Tp tea will try to answer all phone calls. If you have any questions regarding catering you can talk to the manager of the store for more information.

I see a lot of boba shops, but there is always a line around the building here. What is unique about their drinks vs other places, besides being the OG boba shop?

To add onto the first answer, which I totally agree that TP Tea is a lot stronger compared to other shops. I think something that makes them unique is their QQ noodle topping, you don't find it at other boba shops.

Have anyone try use yumimeal online orders app to order they tea yet? Is working well? I know they have door dash but since like they charge so much yumimeal's price looks ok

get snackpass. no service fees 😊

As of January 2021, do the milk teas (NOT tea latte) use non-dairy creamer?

They use dairy creamer, but if you want you can change it to a latte and request for oat milk

    Do they accept cash?

The last time I went in November 2020, they only accept credit/debit cards and no cash.

    Are they open on Monday?

They are open on mondays again!

    Can I order and pickup?

Yes. just call and if you're lucky, they'll pick up. If they don't pick up, then just drive there and order. You need a mask to enter the place to place your order.

    What's the order app?

They had an third party app to order with extra charge per drink, but it was suspended.

Do they take online order now?

You can call them and they will take your order! You need a minimum of 3 drinks and you need to pay by giving them card info. They will give you a number and you can pick it up.

The paper sign on the door says they will open 12-4pm effective March 16, 2020. I went today (March 24, 2020) at 2pm and the store was closed. Does anyone know if they decided to completely close due to the shelter-in-place?

    Yes they are closed 3/23-3/26

Has anyone tried their tea with cheese creama yet? Is it good?

Yes! They have seasonal drinks right now too, so you can get the cheese creama with Mango or Grapefruit Tea.

I went today and the cashier said that their milk teas (not just the lattes) use actual milk. Do they not have non-dairy creamer options anymore? Their menu doesn't make the allergy info clear

They use non-dairy creamer! The only time they use milk is for lattes and if you request it (it is an additional cost)

Do they use dairy for their milk teas?

Only for their "Lattes" contain dairy. They use non dairy creamers for their milk teas :)

What is the difference between milk tea and tea latte?

Tea Latte uses real milk while milk tea uses creamer

    Is there dairy-free milk?

When I asked, milk teas use non-dairy creamer while tea latte uses real milk.

It was near 5pm. I walked in and the place was empty. The gentleman behind the counter greeted me. I asked for a strawberry smoothie, then walked around to survey all the baked goods. It's a small bakery with lots of trays of individually packaged cakes and pastries. The smell was very pleasant and comforting. Using a flat basket (or tray) I grabbed a few selections. I picked 2 "Heart Pies" that resembled my favorite French Butterfly Cookies. Also 2 pound cakes. The total rang up to just over $21. There's some small tables for enjoying your purchases there, but I took my items to go. The icy cold fruit smoothie was very good and very cold! Not too sweet, it had a natural strawberry taste. The Heart Pies were good and fresh. But the Pound Cakes were probably "day old." I noticed there's no dates or "best by" tags on the packages. It's a nice place to visit, and I will return again. Free parking in plaza lot.

The items were in generic packaging without labels, so take a pic of the items you like so can order when visit next time. While my family enjoyed all the items, I really enjoyed the black sesame studded puffy rolls that I think were made with rice flour. There was a large group of older Asian ladies, including one who brought their lap dog, enjoying good conversations in their native language with their baked goods and tea or coffee. Another gentleman was taking a video call to help decide the best cake to buy. Will add this bake shop for a place to have a coffee meeting and to favorite in Too Good To Go.

Even at 100% sweetness, they actually weren't too sweet, I would even argue getting 125% to match other boba places 100% sweetness. I just ordered a drink for myself and for my brother. In and out in maybe 10minutes? There's a kiosk to order and a spot to pick up your drink-- very efficient. I got the basic jasmine milk tea because I love jasmine tea and knew that if any place were to make the best jasmine milk teas, it would be this place. Molly is Chinese for jasmine anywayyyyyy (shout out to my coworker for telling me this!). I did not try my brother's tea so I cannot comment on it. I liked my jasmine tea, I can tell it was higher quality than other places I've had jasmine tea, but is it worth the hype? I don't think so. It's good, don't get me wrong, but wait-in-a-3-hour-line good? nothing is. I think I've also become desensitized to the high tea prices that $7-8 is somehow normal? When it shouldn't be! My only frame of reference nowadays is seeing how much tea cost in Asia. And in Taiwan (the birthplace of boba) I got boba for $3 ;( *sigh oh well I live in one of the most expensive places in the country but also I cannot believe I let myself think this is okay. Anyway, it's a treat, not a habit I would give into everyday.

Which isn't to say this place is cheap; like many artisanal bakeries in California, it comes with a premium price tag, but at least it's not Dominique Ansel pricy. Croissante's croissant dough baked goods (viennoiserie) is pun-intended "proof" that you get what you pay for. The dining space is limited and lively.
