Pure Nails stresses healthy solutions for nail care. I had a gel manicure at another salon for my wedding nearly 8 months ago that damaged my nails severely. Pure Nails was able to suggest a SNS application that made nails healthier, followed by a natural buff at the next appointment where previously I could not wear natural nails because of the flaking, splitting, and damage. No matter where you live, it is worth the drive to get the level of customized healthy care, they give to each client. Also the prices are very reasonable compared to other organic and natural salons and there is no strong scent in the shop-- so great for people who cannot tolerate strong odors. Clean, professional and convenient to my home. But very very expensive, I spent about $95 for a gel mani, regular pedi, and a gel take off. ( which the flier/ price sheet in the spa says take off is included... so I should have not had to pay $10 extra for this... she claims I should interpret it as it is free but only if they put it on... well there's no Mia-interpreting when it says in parentheses that the price includes take off) and unfortunately I didn't get a better job than what you get at the mall :( I'm still on the hunt for a better nail place. They get 1 star for each clean professional and convince. They lost a star for lying on the flier about prices just so they can overcharge and they lost a star Bc my manicure is not or even close to perfect... a few sideways filed nails, and a nail I messed up (by removing pedicure separators that were hurting) mid way through Tx, I told her and she did not fix it :-/ I was disappointed and they should have lost 2 starts for it, and no star lost but there is gel on my skin a week later... still there :-( $$85 plus $10 tip makes me never want to return. This is not even valued at a $65 job... sorry customer service and attention to detail needs to be above par to charge that much more that everyone else. read more

I went to Pure Nails and had a pedicure done by Shai Ann. I was overall very please with my experience. The outcome of my nails was exceptional. I loved the experience as well as the free mimosas they offered. Shai Ann really listened to what I wanted and presented me with more then I asked for, it was awesome. I highly recommend Pure Nails. I hate to write a bad review. I'm not one to complain or be picky, but when I pay $30 for a regular manicure (plus sugar scrub, which was the only nice part of the experience), I expect a quality job. I really felt like someone was playing a joke on me when the technician was doing my nails. It seemed like she was new and had never done nails before, but she mentioned she has been doing them for a few years. I couldn't imagine anyone would be happy with their nails after she did them, because she hardly did anything. My cuticles were barely trimmed and the polish job was awful! I mentioned that the nail polish looked a little bumpy and she attempted to fix it, but it just continued to get worse. Both her and the owner commented that my nail beds were probably the issue, but I get manicures regularly and they always look smooth and nice. The owner kindly offered to do my nails over, but I honestly just wanted to get out of there because it was a totally uncomfortable experience. The owner may be awesome, but I had one of the worst pedicures ever. The polish was old and goopy and two hours later my nails are still not dry and the polish is 'rolling'. Nails are okay, but polish is all over the place. Nothing special. Maybe I had an off day, but wasn't worth the $55. read more

My first visit to this nail salon for a french mani/pedi. The manicurist was a lovely and kind woman who did a fine job. My pedicurist, however, had a cold or allergies and constantly was sniffling. More displeasing, he was more interested in what was on TV than the work he was doing on my feet. It would not have been a problem had he not had a blunt object in his hands. Who watches TV while working? It is not appreciated in most professions! And, as a result of his inattentiveness to his work, I am left with a bit of skin he shaved off the side of my foot while doing his job. Not a good business practice. Furthermore, he inquired if I liked how my french pedicure was progressing. When I said,the initial few were a little uneven, he replied with "your toe nails are uneven". Okay! Well, I guess I could have told him he could trim or file them more evenly, but I think my honesty would have fallen on deaf ears. read more

I've been going to Camille for shellac for over two years and, honestly, I get asked almost daily who does my nails. I don't have any fancy nail art or flashy rhinestones. It is just that my nails are PERFECT. Camille isn't satisfied with anything less. Don't even try to tell her your nails look just fine. She wants PERFECT and she achieves it. She has recently purchased the business and moved into a great new space. She has a few new nail techs that she is training, along with Tiffany and Chanda (I hope I spelled that right) who are both awesome. Oh, and the new pedi chairs are hands down the most comfy back and neck massaging chairs I've ever sat in. They provide just the right amount of pressure and don't roll you around like most do. Combine that with a fantastic pedicure that lasts for weeks, and weeks, and weeks and you've really gotten your money's worth! read more

This place really is a gem. Everyone is so incredibly nice and take pride in their work. My nails are always perfect and I always have a wonderful time. It's a small salon (3 pedi chairs, 2 mani stations). Tons of upside to this, but the small downside is that you typically can't just walk in. You need to make an appointment. But...never fear! You can occasionally make last minute appointments (I did today) and they have a super convenient online booking tool that you can use to see what spots are available. You also don't have to worry about showing up and having to wait forever. They keep a tight schedule, which I appreciate. They play movies or let you catch up on last night's Bachelorette. Everyone in the salon ends up watching along, commenting, giggling, it really is fun. I always bring a book, but I've never yet pulled my book out during a visit. They'll have wine, popcorn, cake, and all sorts of fun things. They just celebrated Johnny Depp's birthday. Yep, had a birthday cake and everything. They had cake, mudslides, and watched old Depp movies all day. FUN! Another important part of the salon is that they do not use any chemicals. It's all natural products. It smells wonderful in the salon! No harsh chemically smell. No acrylic nail dust clogging your lungs. I wish I would have known about this place when I was pregnant. And the pedi chairs are awesome. They have soaking tubs that are removed and washed and filled. No drains or faucets with someone else's nasty feet leftovers. The chairs also have excellent massagers. Not the annoying ones that bounce you all over the place. These massage chairs are the best I've ever used. Oh yeah, there's also plenty of free covered parking. That's hard to come by in Austin. They will also host parties at the salon. You can rent out the entire salon for wedding party, bachelorette party, etc. They have a full kitchen, so you can bring in food, drinks, watch movies, get your nails did, and chit chat with your girls.
