California Burger

Ordered California burger and seasoned curly fries. Burger was decent. Was hoping for a more flavorful event but still okay.

After a nightshift, I find myself coming here with my coworkers. It hits the spot as we're always craving some good pancakes, bacon, eggs, etc.. I can say their breakfast is delicious. The servers are always nice and check on us frequently. The vibes are exactly how you'd expect... very home-like like a diner ! It does seem like the waitress is quick to rush us out every time though. We always get the check pretty early but stay to chat for a bit anyway. Also, I've gotten the pineapple mimosa every time and it is a tad inconsistent. First time, I tasted more like juice. Second time, definitely more alcohol and got me a tad tipsy. Bottom line, I would go here again!

French toast bites

20 years ago I had a very bad experience here and haven't been back since. But, on NYD we were looking for somewhere to eat that wasn't too busy. Bam, Towson Diner seemed to have plenty of room. I had the French toast bites and a side of sausage. It was the thick diner style sausage (which I honestly wish was available more places). The French toast bites is simply cut up French toast squares covered in strawberry slices and doused in whipped cream. Wow did that make a flavor explosion in my mouth. The French toast was nice and soft inside with a slight crust on the outside. The inside is well lit during the day thanks to the large diner windows. The booths are comfortable. The waitress was prompt, friendly, and got everything right. Now I have another diner to choose from.

Basket of unseasoned chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings.

This is a typical diner that stays busy, and our visit was no exception. The food was ok, nothing really outstanding. My husband went with his standby, the cheesesteak sub with French fries. It was passable. I ordered the appetizer basket, which had 4 deep fried chicken wings, 3 mozzarella sticks, and onion rings. The wings were unflavored, boring as could be-there was no mention of any flavors for them in the menu and the server did not ask if i wanted them flavored. The accompanying ranch dressing did not help much, and the rest was fine. The server did bring some marinara sauce upon request. The bill was just shy of $40,with 1 soft drink. The service was excellent.

Greek Omelette. Comes with fried potatoes and toast.

We walked in on a Saturday morning around 1130 and were seated right away. It looks a little tight but we were at one of the tables, not a booth, and I felt like we had plenty of space around us. This place is similar to the other big chain of diners around the Baltimore beltway but their menu is not as large....but still very extensive. Our order was taken promptly and our meals came out within an acceptable time frame. I loved my Greek Omelette and my husband loved his scrapple and eggs! Both servings were huge, a real bargain for the price. We were satisfied. The parking is quite tight there and it's right on a very busy road but if you hit it at the right time of day all should be fine.

The food is just amazing and tastes so yummy and creamy. If you come early like as soon as they open you will have seats immediately! They are very quick workers and very polite. They understand everything that I say to them! It looks so nice on the inside and it looks very 90's diner. Overall, 10/10 would recommend!!

Very small part of the menu

Horrible experience. Crowded, dirty, slow service, nasty food, small portions. I will never visit this diner again.

First, parking--as usual. There is paid street parking nearby, but it's pretty limited. There's also a covered parking garage on the next block, which is probably the easier option. Hannah's Cafe is a small spot located on the first floor of an office building, just to give you an idea of the size and atmosphere. My mom ordered the meatball sub with a lemonade, and she said everything was really good. My daughter went with the pancakes and tater tots, which she also enjoyed. I ordered the steak and cheese with fries and a lemonade. Mine was decent overall, but there was a small issue with the order. I asked for light mayo and hot peppers only, with no lettuce or tomatoes. Unfortunately, I didn't get any hot peppers, and the sandwich came with both lettuce and tomatoes. The fries were pretty standard, although they were a little overcooked in my opinion. The lemonade, however, was really tasty. All in all, everyone enjoyed their food, aside from the mishap with my sandwich. I'd still recommend Hannah's Cafe if you're around Towson and looking for a decent, quick bite to eat. 4 out of 5 stars.

I'm not sure I even know where to start. Me and my best friend rolled up (without reservations -…read moreoops) but were greeted and seated almost immediately. The area near the front window almost feels like a private table. It was definitely giving a great vibe. We checked the menu prior to picking this place and they had EXACTLY what I wanted. I had a big ole brunch of their Grand Marnier Strawberry French Toast which was a three stack of THICCCCC cut Texas bread. It was better than I hoped for! And I brought at least half of it home, because ole greedy butt over here also got the platter with the home fries (I asked for onions and got this caramelized onion topping that was almost a jam. Yummm), the bacon and the eggs your way (scrambled with cheese). My companion had this big ole omelette with a lot of veggies and shared my french toast. The sauce they served with the home fries was sooooo good - it was almost like Heinz 57 sauce but with less of a vinegary bite. The jam that came for my English Muffin was delicious and praise GOD they served butter that wasn't ice cold and unspreadable so yeah hella points for that. For the mimosas, we did the "buy the carafe and the bottle", with a carafe of cranberry juice and a bottle of Cava Prosecco. I loved that we were able to select WHICH bubbles we wanted and for two people it worked out very well price wise. The host (tall guy with a mohawk) and our server (Robyn) were absolutely fantastic. Personable and friendly and very attentive, very much able to answer any questions we had (THANK YOU ROBYN!!!). In short - this place is a gem and yall should go! Be mindful of the parking in the area, but dont let that stop you from a delicious meal in a lovely setting!!

The last time we were here, there was an issue with my allergy not being respected-- that didn't happen this time. I ordered the shrimp, grits, and greens but they were able to sub the greens with sauteed swiss chard because the greens are made with bacon and I can't eat it. I wish the grits had more salt or the sauce because it was a bit lacking, so I am glad I ordered the biscuit to add that salt. My husband ordered the duck monte cristo and he really enjoyed it. The cuts of meat were substantial on his sandwich and he liked the French toast bread. The shrimp was cooked nicely for mine and the grits were creamy. The space is still very cool to be inside and sit with a view of the street outside. I enjoyed being here on a rainy day. I also ordered the apple bourbon cider and it was good. Could use a bit more spices maybe, but still good. Our server was fantastic and took very good care of her. We will definitely be back again for some more good food.

Sadly, our server, Hope, I think, said the item had been taken off the menus despite many requests for it from patrons over time. While our other selections, crab cakes, salads, were very good we had been psyched for the now "86ed" chicken and waffles. The waitress recommended I reach out to Steve, as manager, to add the C&W on the menu, at least as a special occasionally. I would happily return to sample it, if this were to happen. Thanks. It was not good at all. Advertised thin crust was not thin at all and reminded of cardboard. Toppings were not much better and we agreed it was average frozen pizza quality. Pretty much a waste of calories and carbs. We have had better food from here from regular menu and wished they would offer specials from that. Towson just seems a bit sad these days and this place kind of feels same. A shame since it was on our regular rotation many years ago.

There was a pop-up up Tim Burton nightmare before Christmas themed bar here that I attended. I've…read morealways been into Halloween themed events so this was right up my alley. I pre-purchased the tickets online for a Sunday evening. The main side of the bar were still open to the general public, but they had a private dining area where they had the event. It was very nicely done. They did have a MC some music and entertained us with trivia. My team actually won the trivia for the evening though. Everybody was just there to have a good time. They had a lot of Halloween themed cocktails. I got a Smashburger that came with a side of fries and a toy. They call it the adult happy meal. The burger was very good, not overcooked and not undercooked. I only had the welcome cocktail, which was some type of punch and a Stella from my alcoholic beverages. They do have mocktails on their menu so I got one of those to end the evening. Definitely had a great time and would be interested in coming back for some of their other themed pop-up events.

This review is solely for the pop-up Nightmare Bar for Halloween…read more I'll start with the pros: the decor and staff costumes were super fun, the drink and menu concepts were fun, and the overall vibe is there. The smashburger was good and I liked that it came with a little beanie baby toy (so cute.) But that's about where the positives end. I'm sorry to say but the host and organization of the evening were *entirely too much* and yet somehow not enough. The trivia and games were disorganized, half the time you couldn't hear the answer, and the "points system" was based on an arbitrary "who had their hand up first". It was just a mess. Also half the games not everyone could participate in so it was kind of boring. Someone get a teacher in there to plan the games (lol). The drinks were *terrible*. The welcome cocktail was meh, the espresso martini was OK, and the bourbon apple cider drink was un-drinkable. The crabby tots were cold. I also HATE when they try to incentivize 5 star reviews (free shots for the first few people to leave a google review. Ew.) Also I understand they do two seatings a night, so if you don't want to get kicked out after 1.5 hours of loud disorganized chaos, choose the second seating. The event has good bones (pun intended) but really missed the mark.
