Drove by and saw a bakery next to the pho restaurant and decided to see what was inside. The sign says French bakery and upon entering it smells like it! Butter!!! The place seems to still be building up its interior but is spacious and still welcoming. The owner said he opened up just in April, mid pandemic!!! Opening a good based business is hard, and doing so during this crazy pandemic is harder, so we gotta help out businesses like his. The owner was super nice and friendly. When I visited, there were: plain, chocolate, almond, and everything croissants. Brioche. Palmers. Eclairs m paris-brest. Giant macarons. Tarts. Financiers. Raisin snails/swirls. All were reasonably priced $3 to $5. I got the everything croissants, which was filled with cream cheese, and the the raisin swirl. These croissants had really great, airy, flaky layers with good crunch in each layer. I'd never tasted anything like this everything croissants with cream cheese. It was so amazing I wish this was next door so I could get some every weekend! The raisin swirl was one of the best I've had. The sweetness was on point, the croissant dough had soo many layers and were real crispy, and there was ample raisins. I'd love to return and get more of their phenomenal croissants, try some paris brest, and continue to see this little business grow. My wife and I frequent this small French bakery on the corner of 112th and Hwy 99 in Everett. When you walk in you get that fresh smell of pastries right out of the oven. The owner, Papa Seck, is the Baker and you can tell he takes pride in his work. He is from Senegal and wanted to bring a bit of home with him to the states while he fulfilled his passion. In the store you can see pictures and memorabilia from his country. You also can take it home with you for a price. He serves the coffee from Senegal which is also what the Cafe is named after. You will always feel welcome when you get there and most likely you will get to meet Papa and understand what I am talking about. Now the pastries, which are a great variety for everyone. They have many but I will just name a few of my favorites. Obviously they have the everyday go-to Croissant (you can get it with almonds, everything, jalapeno & cream cheese, even turkey), then there is the Canneles De Bordeaux which is one of my favorites. And you can't leave without getting Pain Au Chocolat which I love with my coffee. Some other items, Tarte's with fruit or chocolate or lemon, danish, Macaron, and many others. On some days he will even make a creme brulee but you better get there early because they go fast. And for take home you can get fresh baked bread of sorts. Called first to make sure Touba Bakery was open and then underway northbound (6/28/20). This bakeshop is located at the Evergreen Center at 112th and Evergreen Way in South Everett. The very first impression upon entering was that this was bare bones not much to say interior wise. I can see a peep of a big industrial mixer. But then who cares, once I inhaled that tantalizing, omg heavenly baked goods smell! God, I miss that smell from pastry school and working another lifetime ago in the industry. A flurry of inner happy dance memories came flooding through. Exchanged pleasantries with the gentleman who popped out from the production area (assumed he is the owner/pastry chef and who kindly answered the phone earlier). He said that this bakeshop opened end of April...props for opening during the pandemic! Empty stomach, big eyed, and surrounded by heady aroma...I selected a brioche, croissant, palmier, pain au chocolat, and a lemon tart. In the oven, were danishes and almond croissants I was told. Omg, nearly wanted to set up camp when he said danishes. I will have to return, for sure! All were packaged nicely and was told to be careful with the lemon tart. Yes, sir! I understand the pride and effort put into baking. You definitely don't want to haphazardly effup and destroy the end product. Actually, once at home I gazed at it for awhile before putting it in another container to place in the fridge. Despite being a pain au chocolat fan, I went immediately for the brioche. I remember the technique prepping this rich, eggy dough into signature baking cups. Opened it in 3 pieces and that scent and on point flavor! Also being Filipino American, spot on reminiscent of freshly baked ensymada. More photos later after trying the remaining items with The Homie. It is good to know that this is just one exit further north of my worksite. Yes, aesthetics can help, but I know the efforts are fully concentrated on the available pastry line. Definitely recommended for amazing viennoisserie and patisserie! *I-5 North, take 128th South Everett exit. Their pastries ARE SO AMAZING! We ordered a few chocolate almond/ almond croissants, a pear tart, and a few danishes to share with friends coming over to our home. It's best to come in the morning so you can get fresh pastries but even when it's not first thing in the morning it's still good. Their croissants are the best. They also have other pastries but we usually come for their croissants. They have multiple options. The owner is also very friendly. The customer service is always excellent! He is a Muslim of Senegalese descent and bakes awesome pastries and bread. His ratings on review websites are at a 5 or close to it. Everyone loves Papa! The bakery has been open for a year and is gaining in popularity. We visited close to closing time. Some of the items were sold out. We bought some pastries and a couple of baguettes. Papa threw in a sourdough loaf and a milk bread for us to try. The pastries and the breads were all delicious. We recommend Touba wholeheartedly. You won't be disappointed. Got a couple of different items here: - Chocolate cake - Chocolate almond croissant The chocolate cake was rich and chocolatey, very tasty. My only criticism is the frosting to cake ratio wasn't for me, I tend to prefer a little more cake. The chocolate almond croissant was flaky and delicious. Plus, it was quite large, part was through I was wondering if I would be able to finish it. There wasn't a lot of filling, but coupled with the chocolate and the sweetness of the top, it worked well. Make sure you get there earlier in the day as they sell out of items. I had originally wanted an almond croissant (without the chocolate), but since this is a popular item by the time we got there it was sold out. read more

What a wonderful little bakery. We discovered it while driving on the evergreen way, and we doubled back to pay them a visit. It was the right decision! The quality of the bake goods here are pretty high. The baker/owner has great skills. They offered many types of French pastry, from croissants, macarons, caneles, to chocolate tarts. As a baker,I know pastries and as a human, I know people and Touba Bakery has the best of both. Their pastries are beautiful and appealing to the eye. The lemon tart's crust is light and flakey and full of flavor, the filling is creamy light with just the right amount of lemon, a perfect marriage. The pear tart is sumptuously delightful. The pears are sweet and hold up well under the glaze. Again, this crust is light, crisp and flakey and the cream filling is decadent and not overly sweet. This baker knows what he is doing, how he is able to make his crusts so light and flakey in this climate filled with moisture is a skill attained by very few. I could taste the love he pours into his creations in every bite. As people, this owner and staff are pleasant, kind, engaging, and as sweet as their pastries. Kind people are my kind of people and these are my kind of people. The owner gave me a free baguette even though I only purchased 2 pastries. If I lived here, Touba would be my go to. The best bakery in Washington! Their croissant, chocolate cake, canele are soooo good

I chanced upon Touba when we came for to-go food next door. The windows are tinted dark so you can't really see inside. It says, Authentic French Bakery on the sign, but it seemed deceiving to me. Nevertheless, I can't ever pass a good French pastry so inside I went. The lights are dim inside as well... I thought to myself, "what is going on?" A sweet lady was at the counter and welcomed me. The shelves were half empty and I wasn't really sure what I was going to do next. I looked around and felt awkward so I chose the Lemon Brioche and 1000 Feille just to get it over with. The lady boxed up my purchase and I left. French bakeries to me were always well-lit, bright, cheery with display shelves full of yummy goodness amidst the sweet smell of sugar so I wasn't expecting much from this place. I got home and took a bite of both pastries and wow... both weren't overly sweet, and were very good! I read from the other reviews that the bakery has a lot of offerings when they open so I guess I need to get here before noon next time. read more

I've been wanting to try Touba for weeks, and I finally decided to order from them for breakfast this beautiful mellow Sunday morning. I ordered delivery, and noticed the menu on DoorDash was smaller than what their menu actually is, but I was able to pick a good variety of items. I ordered the financiers, turkey croissant, almond croissant, and the almond flaky bun. The order took awhile to arrive, maybe an hour, but when the box was dropped off I noticed it was warm and I excitedly brought it inside. The financiers must have JUST came out the oven. They were so fresh and warm, great crisp outside and moist inside with a tender piece of either peach or apricot inside. The croissants were very caramelized, chewy with a good amount of filling. They had great textural variety when chewing, each bite had chew, tender filling, crunchy outside and crispness in each bite. The almond flakey bun was huge, and was both light and chewy with a flakey interior and some form of almond flavoring. This bakery is VERY high quality and you can tell they put their heart into these pastries. Next time I'll order in person for one of their eclairs! Must try. read more

We've tried: - chocolate croissant - raspberry croissant - almond chocolate croissant - lemon meringue - apricot danish - lavender macaroon - earl grey macaroon - French baguette Everything I've tasted so far has been delectable! The macaroons are not overwhelmingly sweet. The croissant is flakey but not too buttery or greasy. The owner/pastry chef is from Senegal and spent a lot of time studying/perfecting French dessert. The interior decor of his shop is a tribute to his Senegalian root- there is great pride in where he grew up. Flavor was on point & pricing is reasonable. There's also plenty of parking. This is a hidden gem. For one, it's in a strip mall. For two, you have to go out of your way to find it. Once you walk in the door, you are greeted by the happiest guy in the world. He clearly loves what he does-- which is make really really really great pastries. We strolled in for some pastries to go. We got an everything and cream cheese croissant, a chocolate croissant, and turkey and cheese croissant. They were all simply delicious. They were all fresh and had vibrant flavors. Absolutely incredible. I picked up pastries today, for my wife's birthday, and came in just at opening. The owner was so friendly and helpful, and I left happier than when I arrived (groggy and trying to wake up). And then, the pastries. I had picked up a large assortment and each one was delightful. Such a surprise in a tiny strip mall. My husband and I had the almond, chocolate, and turkey and cheese croissants. The almond and chocolate were pretty standard but I was pleasantly surprised by the turkey and cheese. I think this shop might be halal friendly, hence the turkey over the traditional ham. The lamination was impressive and I only wished I had come earlier to grab a truly fresh and warm one. Nothing a little warming in your own oven can't fix though. The owner or chef didn't say hi to us when we walked in because he was too busy flirting with another customer (it was just me and the other customer there). I was a little disappointed in the food display and lack of baked goodies. There were maybe 8-10 options total and and we came at around 10am. I got the almond croissant and the raspberry chocolate croissant and the almond was was over baked and too crispy to my liking.
