I really loved the honey cake here. Deep, caramelized and slightly charred honey flavor, mixed with an ultra creamy layering with a slight tang. Perfect texture and tasted really fresh. Family-owned bakery with cozy ambiance! We had the savory crepe (spinach,egg,feta), a potato and mushroom pirozhki, the honey cake, and a cappuccino. The Savory crepe was exceptionally good and unique with its crispy texture. The honey cake also definitely lived up to the hype. I give the cappuccino a 5/10 as it felt watery and was overall disappointing. The staff was efficient and friendly, but I noticed our server put down our plates onto the table rather aggressively, but I think it was unintentional. I LOVE Katya's! I first stumbled across this with my mom in 2021. We loved their desserts! I adore their Honey Cake! I also tried their Borscht soup which was delicious! Fast forward -- my cousins, bf and I came by this week and while we couldn't check out the bakery since they were already closed, we saw that the new addition of the European Market was opened! We saw a lot of European chocolates, chocolate liqueur, produce, bread, cookies etc and desserts! We wanted dessert and saw they have a few items! We got the date mini croissant pastries (literally finger food size!) and the dessert that looks like a cannoli but tastes like a cream puff....only BETTER! They were labeled specifically but they tasted so well with our tea at home! We loved these treats bc they were not too sweet at all! I enjoyed this bakery. Having grown up in Europe, there was a European profile to the baked goods. Nothing tasted overly sweet nor American. It had a very specific taste and texture reminiscent of possibly Eastern Europe. I could be wrong but the nostalgia really made me happy. Everything is good here and it's a really nice pit stop if traveling back to Seattle or to Everett. Ambiance is cozy. Visited in May 2026. The food and service was great as usual but the dining room was very cold. I asked the server to turn up the heat but she said the owner in the kitchen would not. I asked her to tell the owner that a customer requested it, but she said she already did that from another customer. Nice server but poor attitude by the owner toward a reasonable customer request. So they have a selection of Russian and Armenia items and next door an import sore from Europe. Lots of Eastern European desserts, salads, cakes that are huge but also a cafe where you can sit and drink teas and eat food (like pelmeni) and desserts. They also make blini with tvorog and vaflya and plov. Anyway everything I've tried here so far has been superb. Still wonderful. On our recent visit, we tried the cabbage rolls and savory crepe. First, a disclaimer - we are not very familiar with Russian food and therefore any comments may lack that context/background. The cabbage rolls were good. We've had these elsewhere and they were made with ground beef. Here they were made with corned beef, which fortunately we like. They were pretty good. The savory crepe was interesting. The crepe itself was very light, but fried with a breading which created a nice contrast of crunch and soft. Overall, I would say it was pretty good. I'm not certain I would order it again, but I would not try to sway someone else from trying it. It is well made. The sweets were wonderful, as always! And still well priced (good value). Service was good and they added some flower planters and tables outside, which is a nice touch. Also - it looks like they are opening a European Market right next door! read more

Besides of the caffe, this place extended own area into a store Katyas European market . There is some food on a sale , but be careful, some food is expired . My family had an experience to be very sick of those spoiled food. In addition, there is very poor customer service and rude communication. They offended my family by swearing and yelling, and pushing away with the threatening, when there were suggestions on the products source. Absolutely one of the best cake places I've ever gotten. I am such a big fan of fan of European cakes and this was one of my favorite bakeries that did outstanding work. The flavor, the details, and the taste were just overall so good! The service itself was so easy, we just called and told them what we wanted which was the layered chocolate cake that said Happy Birthday and they were done within two days! Parking was easy and free in front of the place, the environment looks like any other normal bakery, it's quite small in here but more cozy. This is one of the few bakeries that are open on Mondays. My son and I went in there at about 2 o'clock in the afternoon. There are a few tables and chairs to sit down and eat, and the place was clean. We purchased a variety of different pastries(tiramisu cup, walnuts, eclair, cream filled cones, macarons) we hand selected as well as a large round plastic container pre-filled with different items (meringues and some other items). The pastries were all a gift, so I didn't really taste anything other than a macaron I purchased for myself, which was good. I was definitely disappointed that when we arrived, there were only two cannolis left, and two chocolate filled cones, all of which were purchased by the person in front of us. I did ask if they had any more cannolis, and after a quick discussion in the back room, was told there were none. The employee that helped us was friendly enough, but offered no suggestions. This was a $75 visit, and while there was some availability of foods that could be heated up like lunch items, there was pretty much only one of each in the case, and they did not look appealing. I may try to return at an earlier time to see if the case has a wider variety. read more

So thankful I stumbled upon this. Adorable, European bakery! I had a craving for something sweet and looked up bakeries in the area because I was up in the area visiting my grandmother. My grandmother is Italian and I found pizzelle at the bakery, so I got one for her! I got what they called a potato pastry, but it was really chocolate, butter, etc in the shape of a little log. It didn't taste overly sweet. I'm a very big fan of chocolate and I loved it. We finally got to try a piroshky. We'd been trying to find an open place in the evening, since all other piroshky places are too far or close early. We arrived 20 minutes before closing and they barely had anything (good sign), so we just ordered what little they had: two piroshkys, two small desserts and two large coffees. Pros: the cabbage piroshky tasted pretty good. Well seasoned, enough filling... the meat one was okay. Cons: - We were not greeted at all, no smiles. - They didn't want to make us coffee, at first. They claimed they had started cleaning the machine so they couldn't make any, but then reconsidered and made an exception. - They packaged our food to-go without asking. We sat to eat anyway because our kids were hungry. - The girl kept saying: "is that all?" After each item we ordered, instead of having some patience and maybe trying to sell more with an "anything else?". - They set everything up to close and almost kicked us out at 19:00; we noticed the movement and left before they said anything. Finished our food in the car. We were not the last ones in or out of the store. We left annoyed and disappointed at the service, to say the least. Management needs to train these girls better. Piroshki's and dumplings seem to be must try items in WA and Katya's Bakery has delicious choices! Their cake slices alone are reason to come by, $5 for a giant, beautiful slice of cake! They are a cafe with a mom and pop feel, cute interior, and very friendly staff. You'll want to come early, although there's lots to choose from and theres sometimes more being brought out throughout the day so you wont have a hard time finding a few things to try. We tried the mushroom piroshki, peach, and baklava. The mushroom one is delicious, loaded with veggies and tastes like a warm stew inside pretzel like bread roll. The peach was my choice. It's smaller but adorable and the perfect amount of sweetness. My husband wanted the baklava and he was very happy with his choice. The syrupy honey inside was not my thing but the texture of it was very good. Perfectly flaky and baked to a light golden crisp that's mouth watering when you see it. The bakery not in a popular looking area but we came on a Saturday around 2 and there was a line of 4 or so people. It looked like they had been busy, there are just a few tables but most needed to be cleaned up. We were ordering to go anyway and since it's a smaller cafe that seems like the way to go on busy weekends. I'd love to come by on a weekday though and try their dumplings or borscht. They serve good lattes and food here. One time I got the large tray of assorted goodies (peach cookies, meringues, etc) just to try it out for a party. All of their baked items are pretty good but maybe I'm just not used to eating European sweets like that - it wasn't all that for me. Ive ordered the honey cake a few times (love that!) and it was only recently that I actually sat down for food and coffee. The vanilla latte I got was on point, not too sweet, lots of foam, and perfectly presented. The 3rd or so time I came back and tried the Pelmeni dish. I never had this before but it was delicious, comes with a side of sour cream and some cabbage. I'm hoping to get my hands on the piroshkis as they offer salmon, chicken, and beef. A European bakery in South Everett that is a hidden gem. All the items in the menu are European and hence unique. We have been going there for months now and have tried a lot of their food. They cater sweet and savory Piroshky's along with some other pastries and cake that have the right sweet level. Recently tried the shrimp Piroshky and wanted to eat more right away. I really like this bakery, the selections offered are truly unique and the attention to detail is evident. I called ahead to verify hours, and what if not all items were available. If you call ahead they will also prepare and place your selections to the side which will minimize your time there. For my birthday weekend I wanted a something unique but really good, of course I selected the honey cake; the one word I would use to describe it is "decadent." The servers are always different and lack the personal skills to prioritize orders based on when they receive them. The honey cake is SO amazing. So fluffy, light, moist and perfectly lightly sweet. I've never had a cake with this kind of flavor. Very unique and I really loved it. Very sad when it was gone! Next time I'll have to buy the whole 9" cake! Chocolate cake (spartak)... hard decision on which is my favorite. Chocolate is also perfectly sweet, not too chocolatey rich. And the perfect layers are so beautiful. Belochka - has a nice hazelnut crunch in the center is yummy and gives a welcomed texture. I also had the spinach and cheese and the chicken/bacon/mushroom pirozhki which was delicious. Such soft bread with a creamy cheese spinach inside. Perfect warmed up and slightly toasted. Really amazing find! I'm very happy I discovered this European bakery on Yelp. Their peaches and Italian pizelle were top favorites at my party. The peaches looked super cute and too good to eat, we were surprised by their delicious fig and paste filling. The macaroons are excellent in flavor and held their shapes when we cut into them. The almond bites were excellent and I can't get enough of their condensed milk filling. They are pretty reasonably priced too. I love that they are open most days till 7 pm. My main critique would be of their savory foods - the piroshkies were not good. There was too much dough and not enough meat, the flavors were meh, desserts are clearly their strong suite. I also wish their dessert cones were filled all the way with that delicious creamy filling, unfortunately they were only half filled. I didn't even have my piroshki warmed up and it was still good. The cake? My gosh, it was to die-for! The lady who helped me was patient. Informed her that it was my first time there and she gave me her honest opinions of some items. I appreciated that. The place is intimate but very quiet and welcoming!
