My husband's go to dish here is the bean stew. One of the few places that does a traditional white bean stew. The place is a good place if you want some Turkish pide or bake bread meals. I like they serve pickled stuff as an accompaniment. They have parking in the front but it gets filled up on busy times. Outdoor seating is available too. A great way to spend a day is hit up Sojo spa and then head down for a warm Turkish meal. Finish off with a traditional tea and a dessert. read more

Went for Lunch Food - 3/5. Their house salad has fresh, crisp romaine and has a nice light oil and vinegar dressing. The complimentary bread was pretty stale and the taste was pretty obvious that it was old. The Lamb Shish Wrap had a very delicious lamb, but a very minuscule amount of the meat. French fries were great being very crispy. The Chicken Shish Kebab was very dry. I've dined at Marmaris Cafe many times before since their food quality is amazing so I believe they might have had an off day. However, to be quiet honest, the food today was very disappointing. Service - 4/5. Friendly and courteous. I'm not sure how their system works with cashier/waiter positions but it seems only one person was on waiter duty. Despite all that, she was quick with everything we asked for. Value - 3/5. They kind of have a specific lunch menu in that the sandwiches are only available for lunch but I personally think the prices are too high for a sandwich item. The Lamb Shish Wrap, which as I've mentioned comes with very little lamb, is $14 which I think is high for a lunch price. Stop by this delightful cafe on the way to Hoboken. I was planning to only grab a coffee but decided to extend the stay after glancing over the menu. After all, the menu did look very authentic and I wanted to properly enjoy my Turkish coffee. In addition to coffee, I also ordered the Lahmacun and was seated in its spacious dining area, which reminds one of Mediterranean. The folk Turkish music playing in the background adds to the Mediterranean ambience. The Lahmacun was an absolute surprise, the crust was thin and crispy while the minced meat covering the crust gave it a distinctive taste. Think this as a pizza with a Turkish twist! The staff was super nice to us. Best of all, the price was very reasonable - a serving of coffee, a cup of tea and a tray of Lahmacun were less than 10 dollars. Went in here for weekend lunch. They have a small patio space outside the restaurant to enjoy on a good weather day, even though it only overlooks the road. The restaurant was mostly empty on Saturday late lunch time.The menu has pictures of all menu items, which is great. We decided on ordering the chicken shish kabob plate and the salmon plate. Right after placing our order they brought us a plate of bread, with no butter, no olive oil or anything to eat it with. When I asked them if we could get butter or some olive oil with the bread, they told me that "after 5pm we give cheese with this but nothing comes with it before 5 pm". This was a quite weird and confusing explanation. Anyway, moving on to the main dishes - they were just okay. The chicken shish kabob plate comes with a bowl of fresh salad, and one side (I chose rice - which was decent). The chicken cubes were dry and some pieces were tough/hard. The salmon was good but the potatoes it comes with were nothing great. The main reason I took out 3 stars is because of their customer service. There were only 2 other tables, and 4 staff members. Even then, they did not check up on us. They were more busy in standing around talking and making fun of customers. read more

The food here is really good I always get the chicken skewers with rice and they give you enough where you're content and not exactly full but on the verge which is great. The location, ambiance, and service was all five stars. However, the food was okay nothing really to brag about. We ordered the baba ghanoush and we shared the mixed grill. Some of the meat was flavorful while some of it was a little under cooked and lacked flavor. The baba ghanoush was good but not great in all honesty. The bread however was fresh. We also ordered kunefa and had some turkish coffee (aka gorilla espresso) lol. Both were good bit complaints there. In my opinion this is an average Turkish restaurant, definitely not the best out there. On a side note be careful with parking. Marmaris is such a great spot to visit whether it is a Saturday night with your friends or a Monday afternoon. The food is really fresh and the lamb chops was the best I've had in a long time. My favorite thing about Marmaris though is the service. Duygu was our server this past weekend and even though it was really busy she was very attentive to our table. You guys, this one is going to be hard but I really have strong opinions about my last visit here. Service is friendly- there is no doubt in that but it's just bad service. What I mean is, he smiles, they smile.. We are all one big smiley bunch. However: (1) may I please get the croissant I ordered with my egg and cheese croissant (he places the order as an egg and cheese omelet instead of the croissant stuffed item) (2) can I get a refill of water? (Not once did it get refilled and when my husband finally asked, they brought a bottle for $2.50 out- not the end of the world, but can I be hydrated?) (3) if the meat is going to be pink from inside, please mention at the beginning and ask the patron if they want it medium rare or fully cooked... Normally at every Turkish place I've been (MANY- I'm pretty obsessed), the meat is never medium rare, so in the rare instance that it is (hahaha, that was ever), please mention that it normally will be medium rare- because my sister wouldn't eat it. (4) then finally, please bring out the teas he we patiently waited 30 minutes for (he ends up asking us if we want to check or were ready to go whereby we asked where our teas were and he put up 4 fingers To indicate the number or teas we ordered half an hour ago, and made a face like "oh sh**..." More or less .. But yes, your emotion was correct because yes, a tea-less breakfast was not pleasant. Anyways, I left it at 4 because the food was still great, and I'll still be swooning over a Turkish breakfast without having to pay 1,300 for a flight to turkey. However, even with the food, I have to say almost every item (from soup to pide) apart from the bulgar rice needed some added salt, but you have the option of adding your own of course. I would just say please, if we are spending over $100 on a casual Sunday brunch, just take the time to ask us how we are doing and if we need anything else. But I'll be back. My wife stumbled upon this amazing place while in the area, and it wow-ed us. The ambiance and setup is really cozy and authentic. Seating was very spacious and comfortable, non-cookie-cutter. The service was good and polite. The food stole the show, as it should. From the bread, which was incredible, to the mixed grill we had, it was a superb meal for a steal of a price. We finished it off with Kazandibi (close to Flan). Overall a great experience, atmosphere, music, food and service, would definitely recommend giving it a try. read more

Breakfast is killer here. Literally ran out the door this morning to make it on time before brunch hours were over. Why? Because they serve this heavenly egg dish called 'Menemen'. I get it with sausage mixed in and its hearty enough to fill you up for the entire day. I have it with their soft, pillowy warm bread and literally scrape the plate clean. Paired with a delicious turkish coffee on the side; I couldn't ask for anything more. This was such a nice change of pace from the usual eggs Benedict and pancakes. I also had a few of their pide breads. Very generous portion and its served on this long wooden board. Definitely enough for lunch the next day. Baklava was also fantastic. I highly recommend the place for groups as well as dates. Although you do get full rather quickly from all the delicious breads. Service was always lovely when I came. Interior is beautiful and it seems like they have quick takeout service as well. I haven't had the pleasure of having dinner here but I imagine its just as good. I wanted to like this place and I HATE leaving bad reviews for local restaurants. The mixed grill tastes very good but it is such a rip off. it's only enough meat for one person and it's like $32. Any other turkish spot in the area, the mixed grill is at least enough for 2 people. The calamari we ordered was REALLY soggy. That's not okay! My mom said her bronzini was a bit bland. I enjoyed the lentil soup as well- that was very good. I may return because it is so close to where I live and I am wondering if they are just giving less food because of covid-19??
